Charlie has the ability to stretch and elongate nearly every part of his body.  His limits are about twice as long as whatever it is that he is stretching, and if he tries to extend past it, there is an unpleasant 'snap-back' effect that is not unlike that of releasing a taut rubber band - it results in whiplash and headaches, though fortunately they are temporary.  Otherwise he can keep up whatever he is 'stretching' for up to fifteen minutes at a time, as long as he doesn't push his length limits.  Other side effects include sore muscles, joint pain, and dry, brittle skin around his joints if he overexerts himself.

General Appearance:  Charlie isn't an overly attractive person - with a long face and round, babyish cheeks, he's heard the name "horse face" on more than one occasion.  He likest to think he has a nice smile, though - at least his teeth are white and straight, the former mostly due to almost obsessed dental hygiene.  And his hair, dyed a nice chestnut brown, usually seems to do what he wants it to.  His eyes are the type that crease upwards and almost disappear when he laughs, which he does often.  His skin and hair are always clean and washed, so he rarely has any breakouts.

He's of average height and build, around 5'10" and weighing in at about 145 lbs.  He's on the thinner side, and doesn't have a lot of muscle built up (but that's fine with him, as it helps even more with his flexibility).  It's not uncommon, due to his ability, to find him with a various limb or two stretched out to an inhuman length (and he likes making people freak out because of it).

His clothes are always always well-washed and carefully chosen.  Some days he'll change halfway through the day if he feels like what he's worn has become too dirty (especially from exercise), and he had no particular style, although he tends to stick to dark and neutral colors. Charlie also likes to wear hats, and occasionally put on a necklace or bracelet or two to accessorize.  

Personality: Charlie is, above all else, a goofball.  He loves laughing and joking around, loves playing practical jokes and pranks, and is, in general, the class clown.  He has no problem with making a fool out of himself as long as other people get a laugh out of it, and it's easy for him to make friends due to this nature.  However, the downside to this is that he has a hard time taking things seriously, so while he's a good friend to go to if you need a laugh, he's not the best person to ask for advice or for a listening ear, unless you want him to try and make a joke out of the situation to try and cheer you up.  He's not insensitive on purpose, it's just the only way he knows how to deal with things.

Despite how stupid he acts most of the time, he's actually pretty clever, and, aside from math, does well in nearly all of his classes and is a pretty good student.  He uses his cleverness to help with his pranks, but is good at solving logic puzzles and other types of word games in general.

He loves dancing - especially girl dances.  He probably knows more of those than any other, actually.  Charlie isn't picky about dancing solo or in groups - while he likes the attention of dancing alone, he also enjoys the camaraderie that that comes with being with other people and performing together.  He also has a hard time sitting still for any period of time, and has very high energy most of the time.

He's a bit of a germophobe, however.  He's not so extreme that he'll avoid all things that have to do with germs, but he does carry around hand sanitizer with him on most occasions, brushes several times a day, and tries to avoid anything that might be 'contaminated'.  Charlie's sort of paranoid about getting sick, so whenever he does catch a cold, he acts really miserable and blames himself for not being careful enough.

History

Charlie was born to a young-ish married couple in the fall of 1997, in the city of Portland, Oregon.  There was nothing all that exciting or strange about his coming into the world - he was mostly planned (more on his mother's side than his father's), their home life was pretty stable, and he didn't have any issues as a baby.  The only thing that affected him during this time period, and eventually even more so as he grew older, was that his father wasn't... Well, very fatherly.  He wasn't abusive or anything like that, but he stayed away from home a lot with his job working as a computer programmer, and when he was home, he was usually working on something anyway.  He's a very slobby, unkempt sort of man, and Charlie's mother had to constantly work to keep their house in habitable conditions by always cleaning up the messes he left around.  

Charlie didn't really realize all this until later in life, though, so he was a happy child, always smiling and laughing, and getting along well with other kids.  He hardly ever got in trouble for misbehaving in preschool and elementary - in fact, his teachers praised him for getting along very well with other children and almost always minding his manners.  Eunji was very proud, but his father couldn't really care less.  At least he brought in a good income, which was his main excuse for not always being the most attentive and caring of dads.

When Charlie was 7, his sister was born.  She wasn't planned, but their mother loved her nonetheless, and she, too, grew up a happy child.  He was always pretty close to his younger sibling, despite their age difference, since they were very similar in personality.  

It was shortly after she was born that Charlie became more aware of the state of their house.  He became more conscious of how obsessively his mother cleaned, and how his dad didn't seem to care one way or the other (and of course, having a toddler in the house made even more messes).  Over the next couple of years, he started to develop his own distaste for uncleanliness through his mother's habits, and eventually, that distaste became more of a disgust.  He started becoming more aware of messes and spills, even small ones, in the outside world as well as inside.  There were germs everywhere!  He started carrying hand sanitizer with him by the time he'd reached middle school, though he tried to keep it a secret from other kids lest they make fun of him.  He never lost his sense of humor, though, and continued to be a goofy, friendly guy.

When he was 13, his power manifested.  He was trying to reach a cobweb in a high corner of the bathroom, but he was too short to reach it with the duster.  He strained and reached high until his arm suddenly stretched like it was made of rubber and he was able to reach into the corner.  Totally freaked out by his elongated arm, he screamed for his mom, who also panicked because neither she nor her husband were meta.  They took him to the local hospital where, after a couple blood tests, his meta status was determined.  Within a few days, he was picked up by the recruiters from Hammel and whisked away into his new world.

Due to his friendly and outgoing nature, it didn't take him long to get used to the place.  He does miss his mother and sister, but not the housing conditions that they'd lived in, and so was relieved to get his own dorm.  He's always picking up the common area after his roommates if they leave any messes, but his own is nice and clean 24/7.  He's set to graduate this year and is excited to see what the next stage of his life has in store for him.
