The Details
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Blue
Any Piercings? no
Any Tattoos? no
Any Scars? no more than standard
General Appearance: Izzy would like to think that he looks "normal." He'd like to think that he'd pass for your every day person on the street. The standard clothing: jeans, t-shirts with comedic sayings, belts, shoes, nothing particularly spectacular. He knows how to dress up, when he needs to, and really does try to dress appropriately for the occasion.
However, as someone who has "issues" with time, he doesn't always match up. He's been known to show up to class in pajamas, training sessions in casual wear, and once he was in the shower wearing formal wear. This happens frequently enough to be an issue (and a comedic twist), and it frustrates him (as much about his developing power does).
Personality: Izzy has a hero complex. What's a hero complex, you might ask? Put simply: Izzy goes out of his way to help people, to the detriment of his own well-being. Others go first in Izzy's mind, and he always worries more about other people's problems moreso than his own. That's not to say that his own issues and problems don't bother him, quite the contrary. When you experience time at a different rate than everyone around you, you have a tendency to have issues dealing with people.
But Izzy tries. He truly wants to help people; he truly believes that people are inherently good. This does tend to make him a little naive, and he certainly gets into his fair of trouble for it. But it's the core of him, and unlikely to change anytime soon.
He also experiences serious issues telling time, not to mention having some issues with his short term memory.

History
Fifteen years ago, Luke and Leah James had their fourth son. And there was much rejoicing, because the Jameses actually liked having children (though they'd been shooting for a girl for the last several tries). For a while there, Izzy was the youngest of his family, and got the normal attention that a youngest got. Then he got a younger sister, and everything changed.
Izzy became a big brother. A slightly overprotective big brother. The kind of big brother that beat up people because his younger sister "needed protecting." Just because Lynsey didn't need it didn't mean that Izzy wasn't going to do it. This sort of developed into a knack for defending everyone who he thought needed it, regardless of whether they actually did or not.
So Izzy would have likely grown up to be a police officer or a decent public servant, or possibly a normal Social Studies teacher, but then it happened. It being the whole time thing. Izzy had always seemed to have a knack for knowing what time it was, for knowing how much time had passed. Then suddenly, he found himself being wrong. A lot. He found out that if he concentrated, or got nervous, or got in trouble, or just at random times, he'd find himself suddenly slowing things down, or speeding things up. Time seemed to follow him, instead of the other way around. He tried extremely hard to control it, but found that he couldn't manage nearly as well as he'd like to.
Thank God for the Hammel Institute. Izzy was recruited, found, and taken here, where he's done his best to fit in. More training with his powers is definitely needed, but now he's thinking that maybe, just maybe, he could really make a difference with the world.
Assuming the killer robots from the future don't get him first.
Roleplay Example
It felt like next Tuesday.
It probably wasn't though. That seemed unlikely, even for Izzy. He dug around in the pockets of his jeans, dislodging notebooks before eventually locating his cell phone. He flipped it open, staring at the screen. The satellites had a much better knack for recognizing actual time. Besides, it was Izzy's opinion that these things were generally more of the "in his head" variety than the "omigodiaccidentallywarped threeweeksintothefuture andnoweveryone'sgoingtobemad becauseimissedchristmasagain" variety.
He flipped the phone shut, tapping it to his mouth and thinking. It was really only about half an hour after the last time he remembered checking his phone. Which meant that time could be moving normally, or it could mean that his brain wasn't functioning properly. Or that some killer robot had been messing with his head. Or something like that.
Sighing, Izzy shoved his hands into his pockets, approached the nearest person, and waved his hand to get attention. A slightly dangerous action, given how many people had offensive capabilities to rival most artillery vehicles, but necessary.
"Uh, I hate to sound incredibly weird," he paused while listening to an explosion in the distance, then shifted his feet. "But time hasn't been acting, you know funny around here, has it? there's not like, I dunno, a dinosaur or a robot or--"
Izzy sighed, running his hand through his head. "Man, I sound all kinds of crazy," he muttered, but ended up smiling at the person he'd asked anyway. Only way to really tell if he was crazy...
