Party of Four { Aracelli, Sage}

[Reece Turner]

Taitum was pleased to have made progress so quickly with Aracelli. She was already obeying each and every rule he'd set out for her and he got the feeling that he more or less had her under his thumb which pleased him immensely. She mentioned she would do as he wished. Oh how he loved those words. Tonight, when they got home he'd be sure to make up for their distance from one another that evening. He just didn't want it all to explode in his face and he needed to be careful how he handled this stuation.

Taitum exited the car and followed her in glancing across her form as it swayed before him. This night would make him long for her even more. Taitum had never been much of a romantic. He wouldn't know the first things about romance. He also wasn't bothered about romance. He was supposed to be accepted for who he was. Besides, him and her Ex were two very very different people and if she really wanted romance wouldn't she be dating Reece instead of with Taitum?

When they made it to the entrance, Taitum noticed she was looking... His jaw snapped together and his teeth clenched. He quick grabbed her wrist and pulled her close to him tightening his grip somewhat.
"You're looking for him aren't you? I swear to God, you'll regret it if you embarress me tonight. He'll regret it if he helps you do such as well. Do you understand? "
He spoke softly and clearly before realizing what he was doing and quickly he let go.

"I don't want to get angry at you. Please don't make me angry. This is supposed to be a good night for us right? Do you want me to get us some punch? You wait here okay?"
Taitum moved away from her toward the punch bowl dodging youth as he went along. He really had to keep it together. He could not loose it now. He wouldn't lose her. Not to anyone. He'd fight to keep her.

Reece's shoulder squared like a proud peacock when Sage mentioned that Lindsey was beautiful and he nodded slowly smiling in her direction.
"Yes, yes she is. She's gorgeous. His twin is..."
Reece's eyes scanned the crowd finally finding the other guy with none other then Charlie...
"With Charlie...? Good luck to the other twin. It's like Ying and Yang."
Chalie looked wonderful, Reece had to admit.

He remembered the night she'd pushed herself so tightly against him on the dance floor and that little body of hers.... The way it swayed. Both twins were really really lucky to have such gorgeous dates. As was he. His eyes turned to his radiate valentine and smiled softly.
"You really do light up the room don't you?"
Reece said softly before they reached the drinks table and took the cup that was offered.
"Thank you, handsome."
He almost whispered kindly.

Reece was then distracted and barely heard the appreciation of the punch and was instead distracted by Aracelli. He noticed the way Taitum grabbed her arm and narrowed his eyes at the two of them. He barely heard Sage ask him if he was okay. The moment Taitum moved their way he gently slipped an arm around Sage's shoulder and steered Sage toward Aracelli.
"I want you to meet someone. Come with me..."
Reece leaned in to whisper to Sage.

Reece was most definitely not letting Taitum take his best friend and do stuff like that to her. Only problem was that he had a bike with one space on the back and he was NOT leaving either Sage or Aracelli behind. Not when Taitum had seen who Reece had come with. The guy had just manhandled Aracelli. She bruised easy damnit. Reece's arm tightened around Sage as Taitum drew closer and he gulped hard trying to not be alarmed by any of this.

Reece also had the idea that he better explain to Sage what was going on.
"Look, Aracelli is my best friend and dance partner and that guy seems like he's no good for her. Can we just go over there please? I just wanna see if she's okay?"
Reece whispered to Sage the moment Taitum had passed by them holding Sage protectively against his side.

The progress that Taitum thought he was making was only because Aracelli chose to let him believe that she was as docile as could be. It was a new relationship, and she was watching herself and her reactions far more carefully than she might if they'd been dating for a while. The Spanish girl was naturally passionate, although she kept it rather cloaked in serene exterior. There was no point in getting into a fight with Taitum if she didn't need to; and really this was supposed to be valentines day. Even if he didn't want to dance with her, she was not going to sit idly by.

She let out a small gasp as he grabbed her wrist and pulled her against him, feeling the bones rub together as he squeezed tighter. Aracelli kept a smile on her face though, a show smile, one that she wore in competition when her feet were sore and she was beyond exhausted. Reece would know it right off, but Taitum wouldn't, and it was likely that no one else would either. Her eyebrow rose slightly, the only sign of her disdain for what he was saying.

"I wouldn't dream of embarrassing you, Taitum. I know how to behave in public." Her words were sugar sweet, and if he'd known her better, he wouldn't have left her for a moment. Those words spoke of danger for him. She watched him go, a smile flirting with the painted red lips. Oh, she wouldn't do anything to embarrass Taitum, especially if he wouldn't claim her. No, she'd just enjoy herself, and he could stand in a corner and glower.

Reece seemed to be with a boy that was, well, glowing. A genuine smile broke over her lips as she walked forward to greet them. "Reece! Happy Valentine's! Will you introduce me?" She leaned forward and pressed a kiss to each of his cheeks, the ring flashing on her hand as she waited for Sage to be introduced to her. Reece with a guy was a new thought, but she found that she was comfortable with it.

Sage saw Reece’s posture lift and he smiled, happy to make his date feel a little more confident and proud. He should have been proud after all, because he was a beautiful person inside and out and Sage couldn’t have been more happy to be with him here. He giggled at the brunette’s observations about the dates around them, and then the compliments began again. Sage took another big gulp of his drink and smiled.

“I hope I don’t light up too much…it might ruin the mood that they have going on here…”

Another compliment was thrown out, and the blond tried to compose himself, his blush becoming wild and uncontrollable. Reece was just so…nice. It was so refreshing to be around him, but the comments were overwhelming! It was about time he said something in return.

“You’re welcome…”

He started, but then he was at a loss as for what to say. He had a million great things to say about Reece, but which one to pick? Sage had to be quick, and he wondered what Ty would say in this situation.

“…sexy…”

The blond nearly dropped his cup after he realized what he had just said, and his face became inflamed with embarrassment. He shuffled a bit in place as he mentally kicked himself, but Reece seemed easily distracted enough by the stranger across the room. It was only when Reece’s arm wrapped around his shoulder that he forgot about his embarrassment. The brunette whispered that he wanted to introduce him to someone, and for a moment, he became nervous. Perhaps this was because he could feel Reece tightening his grip on him as a somewhat familiar man passed them by.

Then, Reece explained the situation, and Sage smiled at his honesty. It was obviously important to him to check on the woman, and he nodded in understanding.

“Of course…let’s go”

Sage glanced one more time back at Taitum and he whispered softly.

“I’ve seen him before…around Ty…I think he’s the one who’s been teaching him all those self defense techniques…”

The blond stopped his whispering when they reached the woman, who greeted Reece in such a friendly manner. Sage smiled as he watched the two, waiting to be introduced before he spoke. She was awfully beautiful; stunning really, and he could tell through Reece’s expression that he cared very deeply for her.

The soft glowing of Sage was overly adorable and Reece enjoyed watching him glow which was most definitely affecting things around him too. Then Sage attempted a compliment and Reece quirked his brow in surprise when the word Sexy came out. Reece would just ignore that right now. Hell if Sage wanted to call him sexy then so be it. He just prayed that he'd get the real meaning of the word sooner or later which would definitely be a win for both of them. He could feel Sage becoming nervous as they headed toward Celli.

Reece scowled at Sage's words and glanced over his shoulder at Taitum before rubbing at Sage's shoulder almost comfortingly though he was more comforting himself.
"I think you should keep Thyme away from him. Look what he just did to Aracelli. "
Reece whispered at Sage before they stopped before Aracelli. Reece noticed the flash quickly when Aracelli leaved in to give him a Spanish greeting and his body became rigid, letting go of Sage's shoulders.

"You're wearing HIS ring?! What is wrong with you? I told you specifically NOT to do it. "
Reece gently took her wrist in his hand and examined it.
"Did he hurt you? I'll kill him if he did. I swear to God."
For a little while Sage was forgotten by Reece in cencern for Aracelli. She didn't get what an eternity ring meant did she? She was playing with fire and he'd get burned. He didn't want to see that happening to her.

Reece lowered his eyes then noticed the glowing boy beside him and he half smiled.
"This is Sage. Sage Ersilia. I'm his date for the evening. Sage. This is Aracelli De Rosales Salamanca. She's the very best dance partner, friend and girlfriend one could wish for, if one wasn't a total jackass about the latter of course."
Reec smirked at Aracelli and quirked an eyebrow.
"Do you wanna get away from him? That bastard? I can get the car keys and we can just... go to my place?"

She saw his body change, and then the words exploded from his mouth. While she appreciated the concern, it was a bit to late. He wanted to be free, to date others, to see what the world was before he settled down into the monotony and drudgery, as he seemed to see it, of married life. It amused her that his concern shot up the moment that she started dating someone else. A suppressed smile played over red lips before she gently pulled her wrist from his grasp.

“Reece, I’m fine. And I no longer have to listen to or obey your advice. Please do recall that I am free, just as you are, to do as we wish.” There was an undertone to her voice, annoyance, perhaps a touch of wistfulness for the past. Whatever it was, it was quickly covered as Reece introduced Sage.

“Hello Sage. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” She leaned in and kissed both of his cheeks as well, whispering softly. “Don’t believe everything he tells you about me, he likes to exaggerate, and I love your glow.” She pulled back and gave Sage a genuine smile, shaking her head slightly at Reece.

“Thank you for the offer, Ree, but I don’t believe he would be very pleased at me flaking on him, and I don’t think Sage would be pleased about leaving the dance so early. I would, however, like to request a dance from each of you, if that’s alright.” Celli looked at them expectantly, waiting for their assent. If Taitum was going to stand in a corner and glower, he could do so, but she was not going to be a wallflower. She’d never been cut out to be such, and she was not going to start now.

“Go, enjoy yourselves, I’ll come claim those dances later.” Aracelli smiled, and attempted to shoo them off before Taitum returned. He was not going to like her talking to Reece, but he simply had to deal with it. The two of them were still partners, and they would always be friends. However, she didn’t want to cause trouble, so she was trying to get them moving before he noticed.

Reece didn’t seem to mind that Sage had slipped up and called him sexy. It was not a normal compliment he would give, but it was the first one that came to mind (at least out of the options of what Ty would have said). Sage kept close to him as they moved towards Aracelli, and he could not help but notice the scowl on the brunette’s face as he mentioned Ty having spent time around Taitum.

"I wonder...could he really be so bad?"

It was obvious that Reece was concerned about the woman, but Sage could not hold back the small amount of envy he felt.

Reece almost immediately addressed the ring on the girl’s finger and even brought out threats towards the guy if he had somehow harmed her. Sage had gone forgotten for the moment, but truly Aracelli was more important at the moment, so he kept quiet until spoken to. There was tension in the air between them before Reece introduced him, almost as if he had not just scolded her, and said the word ‘girlfriend’. Truthfully, it had hurt a bit, but Sage ignored it, remembering what Reece had said at the restaurant when they first met. He had implied that the relationship was over, and due to her having a ring on her finger from someone else, it only clarified it. Reece even offered to take them both out of here, if for her sake, but she did not seem willing to leave.

Sage smiled at her, and she leaned forward, kissing his cheeks. His face turned bright red at the greeting, and she whispered to him advice regarding Reece and even complimented his glow. He was flustered as she pulled away, and he really was beginning to notice how beautiful she really was. No wonder Reece fell for her.

“T-Thank you…it’s really nice to meet you too”

Aracelli asked for a dance later with both of them, and Sage nodded eagerly, thinking it sounded like a great idea, but he was not sure his date would be happy with the idea of her staying around Taitum. He doubted that Reece would leave her now and would probably stick with her for the rest of the night. Sage looked to him, waiting for his response.
