General Appearance: Being identical twins, Liam and Logan have gotten fairly used to being mistake for the each other. Although in recent years, they tend to never be apart so it doesn’t really matter much. The twins have a type a albinism called oculocutaneous albinism (OCA) type 2, which means they have a minimal degree of pigmentation in their skin and hair, but maintain moderate pigmentation in their eyes. Their eyes and skin also have sensitivity to light The boys stay indoors most of the time to avoid getting sun burnt. This only adds to their already pale complexions. Although neither of them actually needs glasses to see, except for very small font, they tend to wear reading glasses from time to time anyway. Although when they are together, the twins are actually very strong, they don’t appear to look it. They aren’t bean poles, but they certainly don’t look as thought they spend regular time in the gym either.
The boys dress more like forty year old business men than college students most of the time, but they like the fact that it makes them look older. One or both of them usually carries a back pack of books they are currently reading with them throughout the day. They also both carry notebooks, which they use to keep up with their daily observations and thoughts. They both tend to look spaced out most of the time, but it’s only because they are deep in thought.
Personality: : Liam and Logan are both very intelligent, even before their powers really developed. Even as youngsters, they would have rather read a book or done chemistry experiments than go outside to play around. They are very logical thinkers. Not only does this cause them to solve problems easily, but it also keeps them from experiencing extreme emotions, such as fear or anger. Only when the other twin, or a close friend or other family member, is threatened do they ever show any sort of raw emotion. Although the twins will smile from time to time, it’s usually because they are making a conscious effort. It doesn’t come natural. So they get accused of being detached robots a lot.
Although the twins enjoy having friends, and actually thrive on observing and analyzing human connection, it takes some time, however, for people to see past their emotionless demeanors. It’s just to easy for them to rationalize any feeling away. Their egos also tend to get then them into trouble. They are very intelligent, and therefore, they are right a lot of the time. It’s hard for them to imagine being wrong. So they always assume that they are until proven wrong. Their definition of ‘proven’ means seeing precise facts, scholarly articles, or trustworthy experiments to concede that they are wrong. If they come across someone that can not back up their thoughts or opinions they tend to make them feel like an idiot.
That being said, if people learn to take their egos and emotionless expressions, the twins make valuable companions. Not the sort that a person would want to go see a movie with (they always predict the ending) or to just hang around the mall, but the kind of friends you go to when you need someone to talk to. They are very good at stepping outside of the situation and seeing the possibly solutions and how each would play out in time. They love to hear about how a friend’s relationships are going or how they are adjusting to a new situation. The human mind (and all the thoughts and emotions that come with it) is something that never ceases to amaze or intrigue them. They are studying psychology in college in hopes of becoming psychiatrist when they get older.
The only relationships they tend to have real troubles with are romantic ones for themselves. In their late teens, Liam always thought of himself as heterosexual, while Logan considered himself homosexual. As their identities merged, they started to loose any grasp on romantic feelings. For the time being they consider themselves bisexual, but they are even unsure of that. They are still coming to terms with how to deal with being two bodies and yet one person in the long run of a finding a companion.
The only guilty pleasure that twins really indulge in is drinking. Although they are not the type to attend wild parties, they do enjoying going to bars are meeting up with a few close friends to enjoy a bottle of vodka. Although they tend to start rattling off formulas or famous theorist when they get drunk. They also smoke pipes from time to time. Although they’d never admit it, it makes them feel wise and cultured.

History
Being that their mother was a meta, Liam and Logan grew up hoping that when they hit puberty they would also have powers. They spent a majority of their free time researching different abilities and their side-effects, dreaming of the possibilities. They both hoped to have something similar to their mother. With her ability to recall anything she had seen or read, she was one of the most intelligent woman they knew, something that very much respected. Although their father was no idiot, they both secretly wished to be more like their mother.
But when the twins manifested as being a gestalt pair, they had their doubts that being a meta was as great as they had hoped. Sure when they were together their strength and intelligence went through they roof, but apart they were nothing special. Not only that, but the idea of loosing their individuality didn’t appeal to them either. As young children, Liam and Logan had never really gotten into big fights. They respected each other for their differences and often teamed up on class projects. Once they started at Hammel, however, that all began to change. They despised each other. Hardly a week went by in their first two years without a physical fight breaking out between the two. Secretly, they each wished that something terrible would happen to the other just so they would stay individuals.
As time went on, the twins began to suffer physically and emotionally whenever they were apart from each other. Still they fought constantly and hated what they would become. Worried, their mother and father urged them to get counseling. Along with that and the friends they made at Hammel, the twins slowly began to learn to deal with the future. Training together to develop their power, they realized what they could become together. And that it would be much more than they would ever be able to alone. Although their increased strength never really appealed to them much, they appreciated everything else their power allowed them to do.
Living at Hammel, Liam and Logan were well aware that most of the other children had issues adapting to their new lives. The twins enjoyed giving their friends someone to talk to, someone to provide input for their problems, although sometimes their friends got a little tired of their constant offering of advice. Even with their egos and serious demeanor, the twins managed to make friends, or at least acquaintances. Although they were never much for wild partying or playing games, the twins enjoyed observing others interactions and analyzing them.
They excelled in their classes at Hammel and were actually eager to attend college to further their education. Although they decided to stay in the area and go to the University of Vermont, they opted to rent their own apartment just outside of Pilot Ridge instead of living at home. They also attend night classes at the community college from time to time.
