Any Scars? Oh plenty. Being an accident prone young boy he's broken quiet a few bones... or so his abusive father tells the world.
General Appearance:

The first thing you'd notice about Edward is most likely his body and his length. He's of slender build and fit. He always works out and makes sure he's fit enough to hold his own should his quick mouth get him into trouble.He stands in at a decent 6 feet in height and will often be seen working out in the gym. His hair is in a cut so it would often be found falling into his face should he tilt his head just a bit forward or at a slight angle. His blue eyes are known, as any blue eyes, to take in the light around him so they can become dark and light according to the light.

As for what he wears, he prefers tank tops most of all so that he can take pride in his homage to Sinatra. His shoulders are often squared showing off the confidence he has no lack of. His face has perfect contours and he is quite handsome. He smirks more then often when he finds something amusing that he's really not supposed to find amusing. This also gets him into trouble were he to smirk at the wrong thing. If he was to be stripped of his clothing, scratches, cigarette burns and old healed scrapes would be seen across his body, tell tale signs that he came from a messed up life.

Personality:

Edward is quick witted and intelligent. He's not frightened to speak his mind at all and this will often get him into fights. His love of life is only matched by his love of meta-humans. Edward has always been curious about meta-humans and will go out of his way to learn everything he can about them. If he knew that Hammel was recruiting researchers he'd probably be first in line for the position and with his determination, he'd probably get it. Because he's a year away from graduating to be a nurse and two training years away from taking on the profession, he's main concern is getting through all his work.

Edward can be a sweetheart most of the time but if he finds someone attractive, nothing will stop him from getting them into his bed, despite the fact that he's actually engaged to be married to a man named Andrew. Edward is a womanizer, finding it a thrill to attempt to win a girl but once he won, he's most likely to leave that poor dame in distress. He's a smooth talker and can lie with ease as he's had to do this to survive more then often. Edward isn't naive in the slightest. On the contrary, he's quite suspicious of most people he meets. Other then that, he's a pretty fantastic friend and a great lover.

He's romantic in the old fashion type. He knows how to dance and will sweep any girl off their feet if he had his eye on them. As for friends, he has many of them as well and he's quite confident as well as able to pull people from their shells enough for them to be his friends.

History

Edward was born into a family that would not accept that their daughter, his mother, would raise him as a single mother so marriage between Joshua and Julia was inevitable despite their young ages and them barely having left high school before the baby came. Things were good for a while, until Joshua began cheating on Julia. When she found out it was already too late. Joshua had managed to get another woman pregnant but this time there was no desire for him to take the child under his care. Things fell apart from here on in.

Julia left when Edward was just around four years old and his father began juggling a child and a job and paying for the uphold of another little boy all at the age of 22. It was only around 25 that Joshua found a release in drinking and at that point he could send his son off to live with his mom during the week days but Edward would return over the weekends to find his father in a mess and that was not nice for an eight year old boy to see. Edward's life became a series of happy weeks and violent weekends. His mother tried for custody a couple of times but Manchester officials would not grant it, considering that Joshua was in recovery each time she tired.

When ever something harsh would happen, Joshua would lie about it and claim that it was an accident on Edward's part. Edward learned very quickly to stay out of his father's way when his father was drunk and things became easier to manage. He'd never met his younger sibling until he actively started searching for Thomas at the age of 16. Being a bright student since he was in a stable environment around his mother, Edward soon graduated with honors. It was in Johns Hopkins university that he finally began to build a relationship with his brother and he rarely returned home to his father after that.

It was also in University that he met Drew and found out that he was bisexual. Edward found in Drew, companionship and a close friend that he could share anything with so it was no surprise that he became engaged to Drew right before graduation after hearing that Derek had gotten his son employment in Australia as a psychologist. He offered the same to Edward but by that point he'd found out about Meta-humans and it became an obsession of his so he denied the offer and instead started his research into a theory he'd once heard of in a seminar: Meta-humans, the next step in the evolutionary chain.

Edward became so obsessed that he transferred for his last year of medical school to a college closer to what he believed to be a school for gifted, for Meta-humans, hoping to have a first hand encounter with one of these unique individuals.

Roleplay Example

Edward was busying himself for the next exam that was coming up shortly. Drew had just graduated the day before and his fiance was in the process of packing though there was this silent treatment thing going on which was really annoying. Edward was ignoring it. He already knew where it had come from and how it had started. Edward was refusing to go with Drew to Australia to finish his last year of medical school there. Hell, Hopkins had even agreed that he could do it on-line but Edward now had a goal. He finally had something that interested him as much as Drew was interested in Psychology.

He wanted to go to where Hammel was. He wanted to see it. He wanted to know about Meta-humans. Gods among men. That's how he saw them. Edward jerked when a big stack of papers fall on his desk and were his eyes not glued to the screen he would not have let out a stifled yelp.
"I know where you're going Edward and I don't like it. I demand that you... well... please don't go. They're dangerous. What if you actually do have a run in with them and you get hurt or worse... Killed."
Edward shot his lover a bored look then glanced down at his manuscript, a book he'd been working on on the different types of meta-humans and how it could be a next link in human evolution.

He returned his eyes swiftly back to the screen before him.
"Drew, you'll miss your flight if you keep bugging me. I have to study. We still have that dinner with your father."
Drew let out a huff but stayed where he was, watching Edward.
"You're not gonna listen to me are you?"
Edward slowly pushed himself away from his desk and got to his feet cupping Drew's head between his hands.
"Honey, You gotta let me live. You're walking into an asylum. Those patients are far more likely to kill you then a sane Meta-human is to kill me."

Drew considered this with a frown which faded as soon as their lips touched.
"Come on. It's almost time for Dinner with the folks. I'll go take a shower and you can join me when you stop fussing."
Drew nodded being left beside the desk staring down at the manuscript of a very much unfinished book.
"Edward? Just don't mention anything meta in front of my folks...We have a difference of opinion where that is concerned...."

This isn't enough to hold your app up, but Hammel is very secretive, the only way he'd know they were a school for Meta Humans rather than an elite boarding school was if he met a Meta (maybe in one of his university classes) and they told him that was where they attended school. This is entirely possible, of course, but it's something you should be aware of.
