Powers: Enhanced Synaesthesia - Due to the fact that Maria can only speak limited English this ability helps her understand what others are trying to say. This power is all about being able to see sound waves as waves of bright luminescent colours, each sound getting their own wave pattern before her very eyes according to both sound and amplitude of the wave itself. With practice Maria can use her abilities to Call on those she might need by remembering a persons siren call and then imitating that call so that the person will be engulfed by the sound and feel compelled to go to her if they are in her vocal range. Unfortunately there are drawbacks to this ability, one being that she needs the sense of sight, so if she is blinded or is in a darkened environment then her own adaptation of someone's wave might be diminished. Another thing is she can only see waves if the person said something, say for example they mime everything out then they would produce no waves rendering Maria's powers technically useless in this whole situation. Also when she is Siren Calling someone, said person has to be within 20 feet of her. Her primary ability is only seen by her, through her eyes so sometimes she finds it hard translating the waves back to the people since they cannot see the colour.

General Appearance: Maria is just like anyone else her age. She carries quite a petite frame and is rather slender thereby being 5'7'' and weighing in at 126lbs. She has shoulder length hair which could be any colour from a bright and dazzling pink to just plain jet black. Her complexion is fairly pale due to the fact that she spent most of her life growing up in the north of France.
Maria is a self proclaimed emo-goth girl making her clothing rather dim and black with a sense of style to it. In a sense Maria has a sense in fashion and as such chooses her own clothes wisely to reflect the emotion she is feeling at the moment. Mainly she can always be seen with some form of top hat on, it's her thing to have it on her at all times cause she likes to think that she is the ringleader of her own life.
Due to her own complexion she cannot don the makeup of other teenagers her own age and so must wear more weaker shades which bring out the best in her.
Personality: What is there to actually say about Maria, she's an emotional rollercoaster. She tries to keep a hold of her emotions but she can't. She constantly goes through mood swings in that one minute she's up the next she's down. However mostly Maria is a bright and rather intelligent girl when she understands what people are actually saying to her thanks to her limited English.
Maria isn't the best person to ask a question to because she'll give you every solution except from the right one, not that she doesn't mean well. It's just that she doesn't like to leave people with limited choices. She is also extremely shy in that she will only speak French around people, because then no one knows what the hell she is actually saying apart from the people who can speak her native tongue.
Maria is also a very classy lady, she likes to pride herself in only doing the best she can in life. She loves doing classy things with people and will often become really vocal over a glass of red wine, assuming she can still get her hands on a bottle. However it doesn't stop her from being spontaneous once and a while by singing to herself when no ones there and doing something that usually wouldn't be in her nature.

History
Maria was brought up in a small fishing port in France by the name of Cherbourg. She was born with her twin sibling on the seventeenth of April. From the outset they just seemed like normal kids however one of them would prove to be different. Maria grew up in her brothers shadow, her father always favouring him instead of her. She didn't mind though, she was rather used to it by the age of six. Then something happened during her Eleventh birthday.
Instead of attending her (Two separate parties on two separate dates people) party her father had skipped it in favour of a business meeting. Maria's resentment for her father only grew because of this, she started to become more secluded. She went into a small little bubble explaining her irrational shyness around strangers. Instead of choosing to act out at her father she decided to take it out on her style of clothing, becoming darker than her brother, who by this time was still ahead of her in the competition to her fathers attention.
Anyway the business deal turned sour and soon her father owed lots of money to several French mobsters. Fearing for his families lives they retreated to Colorado in the USA to escape the mobsters and to start a new life. A few months after the move, Maria's abilities came to light, she was able to see sounds unlike normal people. She could see them as colourful waves of spectrous light.
Neither her mother nor Father believed her and to her it was the last straw. She ran away from home, effectively starting a new plate. Soon she found herself at the Hammel institute to find out what exactly was wrong with her, she has now been a resident ever since.

Head down. Eyes up. Console to face. Fingers in correct position. Screen adjusted to his own eye level. It seemed that the level of precision needed for his job was detailed to a point that he had become a diva. Not so much that he was throwing temper tantrums left right and centre, but to the point where he had to have everything perfect, the way he wanted it to be. And if he couldn't get it like that then his mind would most likely become distracted by another task that was in need of being completed.
He clenched his hands tightly around the controls in front of him, his eyes not lifting from the screen. A few flickers appeared on his screen before his eyes could adjust to where he actually was in this gaming world. Whether he was a fictional character or not didn't matter to him; after all, reality was not in his own domain. He was the king of the virtual realm, yet felt so powerless in real life.
It was a wonder why he wandered out of his house like this. His game pad clutched in his hand as if to play a game, his head lowered down to duck and dive out of the way of others should he notice them. He took several turns with his hands still fixed on the controller, making turns in unison. People would have regarded him a nutjob; too bad they couldn't get to know the insanity inside the man.
