Love is Illness (RHYS!!)

It took Sawyer about a day and a half....maybe a little more to pack all her things up. As it was summer, it wasn't like someone was jumping right into her dorm room. Thank god. Sawyer didn't like rushing the whole moving thing. Rhys hadn't been up. It was still strange to be seen on campus together so they'd only been contacting one another via email and phone since she'd graduated. But this particular day....all that was going to change.

She didn't have much stuff, she just mostly liked to drag this sort of thing out. But She'd finally gotten all the boxes crammed into her car. And by crammed I mean packed full!!!! The only things left in her dorm were some of her clothes and a large mirror. And a few boxes that wouldn't fit in her car. Blast. She'd simply have to make two trips.

Sending Rhys a text, she let him know she was on her way to his apartment. Stuffing the phone into the pocket of her shorts she ran outside to her car and made her way into town. Part of her was a little upset that she wasn't venturing off into the world at Braxton's side. But she knew it was an impossible thing at this point. It was crazy to believe that the two of them would ever get along again. Driving through town she realized she was speeding. Gee she was excited to see Rhys.

Pulling in she almost forgot to lock her car up as she sprinted to the door. It was locked. "Oh for crying in the night!!!" Fiddling with her keys she dropped them twice. "BALLS!!!" Picking them up she jammed it in the key hole then flung the door open wide. "RHYS?!?!!?!"

Rhys heard his phone ring in the other room; someone had sent him a text. Unfortunately for whoever it was, he was in the middle of a quick work out at home. He'd just reply in a little bit once he had finished with this burst of activity. His toes were against the wall since he'd flipped himself upside down for some vertical push ups. After his run, he'd come back for some simple upper body work. Stupid obsession.

While holding himself up for a moment, he heard something at the door and paused for a moment then was rewarded with the sudden burst of motion as Sawyer burst into his apartment and yelled at him. She startled him more than a little, and he crashed to ground when he lost his balance. It was hard enough to keep when he had his concentration. He started laughing as he picked himself up from the floor and adjusted his shorts.

"No need to yell, Sawyer," he said as he stood up. His skin glistened as he moved. Rhys grabbed his towel and dried off a bit then went to hug his girlfriend. "How are you?" he asked, smiling a bit. It had been a while since they'd been together, and Rhys was more than a little happy to see her. "Glad to be out of school? When are you planning on bringing your things here?" he asked, still entirely unaware her car was packed, ready and waiting for him to unload.

She smiled at the site of him and put her arms tightly around his warm body when he hugged her. "I'm sorry. I'm just, excited to see you again. That whole separation thing was stupid." She was actually rather surprised nothing worse happened and though it was stupid and infuriating, it had been on the whole tolerable. Not to mention she was able to just get all her work done quickly and be finished with it.

Smiling at his next question she thought about her answer for a moment. She really hoped he wouldn't be mad. She'd sort of forgot to tell him that she was bringing stuff over. "mmm..." Grinning, Sawyer kissed him softly. "So... Don't be freaked...but I kind of had to get my stuff out of the dorm before someone came in to take my place...." Running a hand through her messy curls of hair she shrugged. "I can be moved in as soon as the car gets unpacked?" Giving him a sheepish grin she searched his face for a hint of how he felt.

"Unfortunately my power isn't tangible or I'd just imagine up some movers to get all the boxes in while we... get a little more comfortable together." She winked and then laughed at her little joke. "On the bright side.... We are finally free to do what ever we want together. No more hiding." Rhys wasn't something she wanted to hide. Not even originally when this thing they had started. Rhys was amazing for her and she loved what they had. She was just praying to God that her moving in wasn't going to make anything weird between them. It shouldn't have... she was going to end up here most of the time anyhow. And it wasn't like she was sloppy or lazy. And she'd have a job in no time to help with finances.

Rhys sure as hell wasn't going to disagree that the separation had been a little pointless. He'd been told not to see her for less than like, four weeks. What the hell was the point of that? Outside of whoever had seen and reported them and Campbell, no one had known about them. If anyone else had...well, the cat was out of the proverbial bag and there was no point in hiding it. 'Probably would have cost my job then. Wonder who it was...' Rhys was constantly trying to figure out exactly had seen them.

He winced when he heard that. If Sawyer had a car packed full of her things, he was in for a load of work helping move her in. It wasn't exactly something he wanted to do. That was a lot of work, particularly after a workout. Natural stamina time now. "Alright. I suppose we can get started on getting your stuff into the house, even if your power can't actually help us," he told her, flashing her a quick smile and putting a small kiss on her forehead. "Might as well get started, right?"

The smile remained in place as they went back outside to get the first load of things, even though Rhys was suddenly not very comfortable with this. When they'd talked about it a month or two ago, it seemed like a great idea. He was all for it. Now that it was here...he wasn't so sure. No matter how much he cared about Sawyer, he couldn't help feeling like this was going to change things, change what they had, and he certainly didn't want that. "It will be nice to be able to go out in public without having to worry about my job," he admitted.
