In Character Viewing Party

Many of you have heard that I have the habit of watching shows and movies and commenting on them in-character. Some of you know that I will do it while chatting with other people watching the same show/movie.

So, who would be interested in a mass viewing party for Hammel? We'd decide on a movie and a time, then everyone gets a copy and we all press play at once. We'd all be in a single chatroom and discuss the movie in character. Then the log would be copied and put up here.

I think AIM would be the best medium for this, as it's easy to set up a chat room, easy to create a screenname just for this, and it's easier to keep the logs than with chatango.

Anyway, I'd like some suggestions about what movie to watch. I suggest something that can be streamed on Netflix or Hulu, or something cult classicy that it is likely many people would have a copy of.

Let me know what you think, what movie we should pick, and your preferred platform for chatting. We can hold more than one if this is successful, and we can change times for them to accommodate people in different time zones. I don't think we can find a time that would work well for everyone, but we can try.

as for movie ideas, i'm not sure. a scary film could be funny, or a film like inception where everyone's like "....what's going on"

i know it would be hard to coordinate, considering the spread of where people live and life and jobs and stuff, but it wouldn't be impossible~ basically, if other people are interested, i would be ^^

I think a TV show might work better because most episodes run about half an hour to 45 minutes, so perhaps it'd be easier for people to set aside time to do so?

I'm down for this. As for the selection of what to watch? I would love it to be something I can find on Netflix. Also I think the idea of doing a TV show would be cool, because if things work out we could keep coming back for the next episode?

I usually have Tuesdays off, so staying up late on Mondays isn't a big deal. Tuesday evenings are also fine as long as the movie wraps up before 6pm Mountain time or starts after 9pm. Those are the most solid options; everything else is a crapshoot because of retail hours.
