Questions (power, parts of the background)

Hello.
I want to join Hammel, but want to clarify a few questions that popped up in my mind.

The first is about the power I thought of. I want to know if it is acceptable this way. If not, do I have to tone it down, or should I choose an entirely different power because this would conflict with the background of this site?

The Shrouding
Frankly, this power has an involuntary and a voluntary manifestation, the latter one being the one with the more severe side-effects. It generally makes Christian nearly impossible to be tracked down.
He leaves no trail of having ever existed, not generating body odour, nor evaporations like sweat. He leaves no foot-, nor fingerprints, does not stir the groundcover and creates so minimal disturbances in the air surrounding him that no motion detectors but the most fine-tuned will not be triggered by him. He will not register on infrared, ultraviolet and x-ray sight. Echo-location and sonar will not pick him up constantly and even telepathic or technical means of tracking via brain waves or heart beat do not register him constantly. Genetically traceable materials are inconclusive upon testing and Christian's blood group is 0 positive.
The voluntary manifestation of this power is a selective invisibility and inaudibility, which means that only people Christian wants to will see and hear him. Paired with the other manifestation, this gave him the nickname of Ghost. He is tangible, though, and any aggressive action will instantly drop his invisibility/inaudibility. Finally, he cannot go invisible in plain sight. He must be in cover for doing this.
As for side-effects, not activating motion sensors has made him spend time at the infirmary often enough, for running into automatic doors that were ought to open via motion detection but he simply forgot about his power. For using his active manifestation he pays dearly, suffering from headaches and dizziness for about thirty minutes per one minute spent invisible. After ten minutes of invisibility, the headaches begin and upon dropping invisibility, the headaches shift three gears higher and become throbbing and much more painful, stopping coherent thinking. He will usually suffer from nosebleed and toothaches, too, at that point and generally be incapable of doing anything productive, other than emptying glass bottles to combat fire with fire.

As I think about applying as a teacher, considering the background, I want him to be educated at (Kocher haute école pour les surdoués) and transferred to Hammel as a teacher.
My question:
Is this possible? Would Hammel ask Kocher if they have a teacher to spare?
If this is not possible, I will think of some other reason why he is at Hammel.

Is there any noteable difference to History in the Hammelverse compared to our Universe's history? Or is the FAQ entry stating that the timelines are equal answering this question already and I am not clever enough to recognize it?
