Greetings! I have just read through the power lists, and though I have found one that I find to be rather appealing (retrocognition, to be specific) I also have one that I would like to ask if acceptable to use. If not, I'll just use the already pre-existing one I took interest in.
I have not yet thought of a title for it, titles always having been one of my weaknesses, but it's basically .. The ability to sense pain.
Basically, my character - Abigale, Abi for writing convenience - would be able to sense, and also feel others pain. I have always had an attraction to the almost passive like powers, that are pretty much invisible and undetected unless one uses them correctly. For Abi, she would be able to feel the physical pain of any living creature of her own species in hearing or seeing range. It would be a voluntary power, though it would be almost impossible to control in the begining of the manifestation and without any training. I am contemplation adding mental, unconscious pain as well, making her able to stirr up someone by mentioning something that pains them, like a traumatic childhood incident or the likes. Though if the incident was their parents fighting, or harsh words, and it was all in a completely different language that she does not know of at all, she won't be able to get much of it. It's hardly anything to be used in the battlefield or the likes, but if she would learn to completely master the power, she would probably make a pretty good psychiatrist?
As the side effects, she actually feels the physical pain of others, so that if another girl with .. Lets say period ache is sitting next to her, she will feel the same sensations, though not fully as painful, and the sensation fading the further away the girl got. The power having been uncontrollable at first, she must have went through quite a big of agony. As a result, she also developed a hard time recognizing what pain is hers, if her body is actually hurt or if it's just someone else. At times, she may have walked around with a cut or a sprained ankle without even noticing, until half an hour later at home and the pain hadn't faded, or she looked down and saw the blood. I don't know, it was pretty much just a quick idea. Would that be an acceptable power..?
Thanks for reading! ^w^
