Calling all members! We need your nominations for the Of The Month awards! Have you seen an awesome character lurking the forums? How about a thread you just can’t stop reading? Or a journal you keep coming back to? Nominate it here! We’re looking for nominations for all categories:

Character of the Month – Straightforward. Nominate your favorite character from Hammel. As of now, Adam Collier, Ashleigh Cruz, Gabriel Underwood, Horus Richmond, Emma Cousins, Zachary Brahmen, Misato Hazukashi, Anya Vasiliev, Morgan Tonaya, Alice Perrette-Johnston, and Clarisse Prideaux are all off limits, as they’ve won in the past four months.

Member of the Month – Again, pretty easy, right? Toss up the name of your favorite member. Remember, Shea, Sean, Lynx, and Tony are off-limits for nominations

Relationship of the Month – Anything goes here! Friends, romance, enemies, anything! The exceptions to the rules are:
Gabriel and Jesse – Teacher/Protégé
James and Adam – Exes
The Idiot Brigade (Sam, Horus, Vincent, and November) – Best Friends
Morgan and Jake - Romantic

Thread of the Month – Any and all threads that were started after the last round of OTMs are eligible!

Journal of the Month – We will not be nominating for Journal OTM. All eligible journals will be included in the poll in four days.

I haven't been around much/enough to be able to do the full round of nominations, but I thought these two really needed the recognition.

Nomination: Rae
Reasons: Most of the time I was in Hammel in August was spent in the Cbox, and whenever I was there Raerae was there with a silly saying or a welcoming phrase to usher in new members or welcome back old ones. She's always chipper and personable, even when she's not feeling so chipper and personable. XD

Nomination: Sean Neville and Joshua Bernstein - Exes/ BFFs
Reasons: These two men are phenomenal characters all on their own, but put them together and the dynamic is simultaneously hilarious and endearing. I love that Sean tries to give Josh driving lessons, and Josh tries to convince Sean that he's being oppressed. Even when they're apart its a joy to thread with either character and see/read the reactions they have to each other. Just an all-around excellent plot executed perfectly by awesome players

Reasons: She's my sister. Yes. I'm playing favorites. But it's more than that. She's one of the best writers around, and god, she makes me giggle hopelessly until I can't breath. I love her. And yeah, the good writing thing. <3

Reasons: Much as it pains Chase to have knowledge of this particular thread, I find it interesting, and it makes me root for James to get better. <3 (Not that I didn't root for that before.) Plus, it's another step closer to our epic showdown. Woo hoo!

Nomination: Sean! <3
Reasons: I'm pretty sure everyone loves Sean. He's such a well developed character with a detailed past that I always love learning about, whether it's through his amazing journal entries or bits from his posts or from whatever is said in the c-box. I greatly enjoy stalking any and all threads he's involved in, just because he's such an interesting character. I also want him to be my dad. xD

Reasons: Because she's absolutely adorable! For real, Nana is one of the sweetest girls I know. <3 She's quite good at making me giggle and she's always a pleasant person to talk to. <3 On top of that I love her characters, especially Darryl (Were you expecting anything else? xD) She's been busy lately, but she finds time for Hammel anyways. That's dedication.

Nomination: Eli and Midori - BFFs
Reasons: They are disgustingly cute? Do I need another reason? They have such a lovely friendship and really are so sweet. I enjoy their interactions and how their friendship has lasted even though they were apart for a while. Plus they were fracking precious when they were kidlets. (Teenagers, whatever.) xD

I rarely nominate characters, and usually just vote like a normal member. However, I've got some nominations that I have to post for this month in particular.

Nomination Category: MotM
Nomination: Jam (Jared and Zachary)
Reasons: In August, when the weather and real life was kicking my ass, along with the collective ass of the site, Jam stood out as a consistent, thoughtful poster. Jam stayed active, interesting, and friendly, during a month where a lot didn't get done.

Nomination Category: CotM
Nomination: Joshua Bernstein
Reasons: I stalk every thread with him. Every. Single. One. I love how he is slightly overdramatic, and almost painfully liberal. Some days, I think I am going to grow up to be him, and every day, that sounds like a good idea.

Nomination Category: Character of the Month
Nomination: Sidra Cotton
Reasons: Interacting with Sidra in Sean's office for the past month has made me love the little goth girl all the more. I love her feistiness and her teenage confidence. I love that she prides herself on not fitting in at a school for meta-human teenagers and that she's decided to up the ante in order to continue to stick out like a sore thumb.

Reasons: She answered my ad for a friend, which automatically gives her points in my book. She's done amazing things with the character, and she's brought other wonderful people to the site. Plus she comes up with the most delightful long-term plots (beware) and tries to teach me about music.

Nomination Category: Relationship of the Month
Nomination: Ann Hudgins and Devin Sykes (friendly? - someone can give them a better term)
Reasons: I've said it before, but I adore Ann. I think she's exactly what would happen to a young empath, and that isn't easy for anyone. And Devin, more bubbly than her and cutting class, has taken it upon herself to actually interact. The combination of awkwardness and friendliness is a sight to behold.

Nomination Category: Thread of the Month
Nomination: Listen to the Skies Fall in Real Time (Penny and Josh)
Reasons: Reading this thread is like watching a horror movie. You want to shout "No, don't do that!" but the characters can't hear you and thus don't listen. I'm protective of Josh because he's so important to Sean, and the thought of him having any interaction with a member of M.S.A.D. is both exhilirating and a little frightening, particularly when Josh is...Josh: waving newspapers in the faces of strangers while spouting his answers to questions nobody asked. I can't wait to see what happens next.
