Name: Charlie Amber Becketh
Nicknames: N/A
Age: 18
Orientation: Heterosexual
Desired Rank/Job: Hammel Student
Powers: Armoured Skin
Charlie has flawless skin, for many reasons. One, it is almost like stone, but completely fluid. Her doctors told her once that she had almost ten times the regular amount of skin cells, making it hard for things to pierce her flesh and thus protecting her better than a normal human being.
The drawbacks to this power are having little to no sensation when someone or something touches her, and often she has nasty build-ups of skin on limbs she doesn’t use very often. She has to use a pumice stone to remove this excess of skin.

General Appearance:
Charlie is actually pretty tall for a girl. She has brown eyes and hair, and is of a slim build. While you'd rarely catch her with makeup on, Charlie isn't a tomboy. Most would say that she does wear makeup, but her light features and pleasant smile is all she's really accountable for.
The girl has fair skin, and a noticeably pretty figure, and while she isn't unattractive, she doesn't really believe that she is. Usually you can catch her in a pretty dress, or some comfortable clothes if she's not in her pajamas
Another truly distinguishing feature of the brunette that no one knows about but her, are her weapons. She has a chest full of them in her apartment, seeing as there was no way Hammel would allow such objects in dorm. Her weapon of choice are swords of various shape, sizes, and colors. Usually she doesn't carry these with her to school for classes and training, but she does take them with her while training, or when she's going out in public in order to feel safe.
Personality:
Ms. Becketh is a fun loving, slightly rebellious and completely rambunctious young woman. Charlie is in un-admittedly in love with a boy attending Hammel. Like most, Charlie has a hard exterior, one made up of welts, a bruised past, and soft brown eyes with a lot of hurt in them. But what she lacks in first impressions, she makes up for in fierce friendships.
While a friend is easily attainable, a friend like Charlie is irreplaceable, not many would fight to the death for a friend. Charlie is skilled in combat, and she knows that and can be a little full of herself at times. How could someone who is so handy with a sword, and have virtually impenetrable skin, not think highly of themselves?
Often she has a sarcastic remark ready to say, or something just as equally witty. No one would ever be able to guess that underneath it all, is just a young woman with a shattered family, and a lot of rage just waiting for the right person to blow up on.
Don't pick a fight with her unless you're ready for some heat. At least people know she can be passionate about what she cares for, and it's worth fighting for.
Charlie is incredibly intelligent, and when in the face of battle, is not afraid to defend herself, and those around her that need to be defended. Incredibly skilled with swords, and the pinpoints on the human (or otherwise) body, the eighteen year old can easily petrify if not completely destroy her opponents.

Strengths:
Protective - Charlie is very aware of her surroundings during battle. She may not be perfect, and falter in her steps, but if someone is diving in for the kill of a loved one, she's right there to protect and defend. Perhaps being protective can be a weakness as well, for when she's distracted by protecting someone, someone a little more sinister could catch her off guard and make a pass at her, and do so successfully.
Loyal - If you weren't planning on being Charlie's friend for life, then don't even bother getting to know her. She may have a tough, bruised exterior, and while she isn't fast to make friends once she finally is your friend, there's truly no going back. Unless of course, you stab her in the back or hurt someone she loves dearly. But don't think she doesn't still love you, truly for this girl, love lasts forever.
Stubborn - Charlie stands her ground, and is not easily swayed. If you're in a jam and Charlie likes you, she can most likely get you out. She sticks through hard times, and loves to reap the benefits of a job well done, whether it be a relationship, or a long and grueling battle where she probably should have left before it even started.
Weaknesses:
Stubborn - On the flip side of this trait being good, it's also a weakness. Not one who's likely to back down, Charlie enjoys both the thrill of a battle that she knows she probably can't win, or the opportunity to piss someone off by not letting her guard down in an argument. There have been many times where her stubbornness and attitude have landed her in a tight spot, and she's been struck down, but that doesn't seem to stop her from getting back up, which some might perceive as foolish.
Hot-headed - Perhaps Charlie takes things to heart a lot, and instead of letting you know that she's offended, she'll just offend you ten times worse. This girl doesn't easily let go of an argument if she thinks she's right, which she claims is most of the time. Try not to piss her off, and she'll try not to tear a strip into you.
Sarcastic - "Oh, your dress? Yes I love it." Charlie isn't one to be honest and sincere if she can help it. Especially when her honest smile turns into a smirk that has "sarcasm" written all over it.
Fears: Nothing, or so she tells herself.
Secret: Often wishing she had never been born.

History
Upon her birth, Charlie's parents were expecting a little bundle of joy, but they weren't expecting it to be a little girl. Disappointment was evident in their attitudes, and as if they decided to eternally punish her for something that was completely out of her control, they decided to call her Charlie anyways. You see what they desired was a boy, what doctors had promised them was a little boy. The clothes they had bought would go to waste, that was until they decided to use them on her anyways, taking out their bitterness on an infant without protection.
Charlie didn't really blame her parents for being disappointed though, she couldn't help but feel sorry for a family of all girls, her being the fifth one. After her, Agatha and Philip Becketh ceased trying in having a boy. They loved each of their daughters, and often regret treating Charlie with such contempt, but she often thanks them for it, for it has given her strength not only in character but in battle. Her childhood was spent mostly with her older sisters, whom she received the most love and affection from.
Vermont is both where her family lived, and where her and her siblings were raised. Her teenage years were spent with friends and family, and the occasional battle here and there. Trips to the rest of the world were exciting and were always abundant, and she even made friends with a few people in Europe, even though her parents had warned her not to. Charlie was a typical rebellious child and preteen, but even now she hasn't lost her stubbornness.
Her powers started to manifest when she was fourteen, like most of her siblings had. Alice, Virginia, and Rebecca all have non-winged flight, like their mother. Lila has animal mimicry, and the family is not sure where this came from, but Charlie received her power from her father, probably the only thing helping her become the 'boy' her parents always wanted. While everyone was getting acne, Charlie noticed that she never bruised, never cut herself, and a week after discovering this in the middle of taekwondo class, she was recruited to Hammel.
Her knowledge on various martial arts has been expanding since she was a little girl. Her interest started when she saw a set of katanas on her parent's night table, a souvenir her dad had brought home with him after visiting Japan. It was then that she begged her parents to enroll her in taekwondo, but that didn't happen until she was thirteen, due to the family's economic situation. If one child got to attend a class of their choice, so would the rest of the siblings - it just wasn't possible right away. Before she was thirteen, Charlie read a lot of books on different martial arts, like karate, boxing, and capoeira. The only reason why she started taking taeknwondo was because it was the cheapest of the classes offered in Pilot Ridge.
Charlie is very self-disciplined and self-motivated because of her classes. She agrees with most of the principle she has memorized, like showing respect, but there are some variable she doesn't agree with, like fighting only when you need to defend yourself. Charlie has been in tactical taekwondo for five years now, and has her first black belt, but desires to attain the higher levels of black belt. She also has a wide variety of weapons she has bought with the money she earns: swords, nunchucks, knives, throwing stars, and of course a set of katana's exactly like the ones her dad has. A present he bought for her on her seventeenth birthday.
The relationship her eldest sister had with her now husband caused some strife in the big family. Alice became pregnant before marriage, which was a cause for concern. Charlie didn't really see the big deal, as Alice had a secure job, was getting pretty old, and wanted to settle down with Henry, her husband. Charlie was the only one who seemed to understand this and happily became Alice's maid of honor a couple years after Zoey's birth. Charlie has remained in close contact with her eldest sister, and has no problem telling her other sisters where to go and how to get there if they refuse to spend time with their niece.
Since she doesn't like living at home with her parents, Charlie has a full-time job while attending Hammel, taking her time in school so she can work enough to pay the rent on her apartment. All of her other siblings have moved out of the house, are working, or in school, and this has left her parents alone with an empty nest, expect when Alice, Henry and Zoey come to visit. They're expecting a second child any day now.
Charlie claims not to care about not seeing her family as often as she would like to, despite how close she lives to them, the brunette would rather not feel guilty about the whole thing. Her parents had hated for for the first little while of her life, she needed some breathing space now. She was tired of hand-me-downs. With Lila and Virginia being gone, things haven't been the same. She visits them as much as she can between school and work, and this lives little to no time for friends, especially whens he would rather be training.
Roleplay Example
Charlie glared at Spencer, but the small grin creeping up at the corner of her lips hinted towards her amusement. "At least we won't get salmonella." She said, taking another sip of her water. Yes, completely avoiding the statement by answering with a different statement would be the best way to acknowledge that Spencer had been heard, but was not truly being answered, and thus he would shut the hell up about her 'good looks'. Surely Spencer had been with far prettier girls in his day, but Charlie would be his first woman, and she couldn't help but grin to herself at that thought.
Charlie smiled as Spencer sought out her wisdom, which both humbled her, and stroked her ego at the same time. "Well the fact that you're questioning it answers your question, doesn't it? A true beast doesn't know he's one, he just is." Charlie said, making the truth plain and simple. "I guess I should take my own advice too, huh?" She asked, picking at the last bits of her salad. Indeed she was too hard on herself, but that was just how people worked. Maybe she wasn't so screwed up after all, if she was having remorse over the things she killed.
"I know you respect and trust me Spencer, believe me, your actions speak louder than your words. You're cocky enough to not ask me anything at all, unless the answer wouldn't be a waste of breath." She said, standing up from her place, smiling sickeningly sweet, directing said smile at Spencer. "You finished then?" She asked, taking his plate along with whatever amount of food was left on it. She hated table talk, and would rather just eat, and since she was done, he must be as well.
Bringing the plates to the tiny sink, Charlie began filling the sink with water, and bubbles. That should do it... Charlie thought to herself, letting her hands become submerged in the soapy water. She was always one to get her hands dirty. "Thanks for joining me for lunch." She called over her shoulder, not really expecting him to help her, but she would be sure to harass him about that after the fact.
