The boat rocked in the water as the tiny girl tried her best to sleep. Last night, her father had talked to her about going to eat breakfast with Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, the princesses, Chip, and Dale. Chip and Dale had always been her favorite, so as soon as the sun made an appearance in the window, she was wide awake and unable to contain her excitement. Giving up on trying to sleep, Christina stood up and tiptoed to her dresser. She had to be careful not to wake up her mom and dad, or else she'd get yelled at or asked questions for an hour about why she couldn't sleep. The perks of having a psychologist for a mom. She opened a drawer and pulled out the costume she'd brought along with her. Snow white, complete with black wig and bow. Christina giggled quietly and changed out of her pajamas. Though she'd worn it for Halloween last year, she wasn't all too sure about how to put a wig on. In the end, her settled for pulling her hair up onto the top of her head and pulling the wig over it, hoping that was right. When she finished it off with the red bow and princess shoes, the tiny girl looked in her mirror and smiled.
Not much later, Andrew Byrne woke up and stepped into his daughter's room, bursting into laughter upon seeing her attire. "Just what are you wearing, dear?" Christina pouted and crossed her arm, knowing he wasn't making fun of her but slightly offended anyway. "I'm Snow White, Daddy. Don't you like it?" Sitting on her bed dejectedly, she didn't notice when he stepped up to her until he knelt down to look her in the face. Her green-gray eyes looked back at him softly, her lips still in a pout due to his mocking. This quickly disappeared with his next statement, though. "I love it. You look like a regular princess. You'll fit right in at breakfast today." The pout turned into a beaming smile as the small girl jumped up from the bed and spun around in a circle, showing off her dress. She felt like a princess on the inside, and now she looked like one, too. Christina bounded into the next room to show off her dress to her mom, who couldn't decide if she should let the girl wear it or not. If she got made fun of, it could ruin her self esteem... Though she had to be given the chance to be independent... After thought, Katherine Byrne decided it would be okay, making her daughter ecstatic.
When the entire family was ready to go, the small blonde grasped each of her parents' hands and pulled with all her might, impatient to get to the breakfast. "Come on, guys! I need autographs! And pictures!" After Mr. Byrne checked that she had her camera and autograph book, the three were out in the hall. Christina ran ahead to the elevator, forcing her parents to speed up in order to keep her in sight. She pressed the down button repeatedly, bouncing up and down. When it arrived, she ran inside and pressed the button with a one on it. As the doors closed and the elevator started moving, she and her father looked at each other, jumping together just before it stopped. Best part about riding an elevator, in her opinion.
Across the hall, the doors to the dining hall were open and she could already see all the Disney characters inside. "Daddy! Daddy! Look! It's Mickey! Can I go get his autograph and picture pleaaaase?" Andrew chuckled and ran his hand through his hair, nodding. "We'll be at that table over there, okay? The one that Chip and Dale will be sitting at. Come right back." Christina quickly agreed and bounded over to Mickey Mouse. After getting an autograph and taking his picture, she bit her lip and looked back at her parents, talking to other parents sitting at the table who seemed to also be saving seats for the kids that were running around the room. She shrugged. Since they weren't paying attention.... They'd never have to know how long it took to get an autograph from Mickey. Christina ran over to Goofy, dodging people as she went, and got a picture and autograph from him as well before heading back to the table.
When she arrived, she saw a girl about her age sitting next to the seat her father had reserved for her. Christina sat down happily and turned to the other girl. "Hiya! I'm Christina. Chip and Dale are my favooorite characters. I'm so happy they'll be eating with us. Who are your favorites?" She felt a nudge in her side, given by her father's elbow. She knew what that meant. She was talking too much and too loudly and embarrassing her mom. She sighed and rolled her eyes before looking back to the other young girl.
