Yulia was currently debating the best way of approaching this degree thing. She was new to it all, as back in the military there was not even a chance of attending university. Then again she had partly chosen that path. After all they had offered her the feed right into the military and she had taken it without a second thought. Upon reflection she should have thought about it more, but she was willing to do just about anything to make sure she didn’t end up back home. In that she had succeeded because she never had. Still, she felt like it was so easy to get a degree here what with all of the programs available. Between her Job and her military pension she had plenty of money to pay for it.
Of late Yulia had been endlessly searching through the net to pick one of these online colleges. In all honesty she still wasn’t sure how they worked, but everything seemed so optimistic. Also there were the smiling students, with the perfect diverse backgrounds and their perfect smiles. It all looked… well, perfect. So a few days ago she sent out for an informational packet. Now she was sitting outside and flipping through it like it was a sears catalogue. Now, which one did she want? She didn’t have to so much as think when she joined the military, and Hammel had been a strike of luck. Now she actually had to consider this and pick what she wanted, except she wasn’t sure about half of this.
Yulia was currently trying to figure out what sociology was exactly and how it applied to her. Her brow was furrowed in concentration. Was she the engineering sort? Maybe the medical field? Nah, not that, she had found that she was sick of seeing blood. English was an out, though she had mastered speaking and listening she wasn’t sure she was up to par on the academic interpretations. She frowned again and continued to study the pages.
