Let the Fun Begin (OPEN)

[Cole Kessler]

Cole was barely there. He could hear audible noise, but couldn't make out the words. His vision blurred in and out of focus until all he could see was shapes. It had given him the wearwithall to attempt to stand when it had focused enough for him to see Anna get hit trying to protect him. He rolled to his front and placed his open palms againts the pavement. He slowly and gruntingly pushed himself up. Almost there, he was about to balance on his knees. Just then, the full weight of Royce's boot violently pushed him back to the ground, "Where the hell do you think you're going, pretty boy!? I ain't done with you yet."

Quite the contrary, actually, as Zac bursted out of the front door and separated the group. He crouched by Cole's side and did what the lad could to wrap up the gash on Cole's head. It wasn't long before the paramedics arrived. They didn't even ask questions as they got out they went right to work on fixing Cole up. As they loaded the bleeding boy's body onto a stretcher the medic asked, "What happened!?"

"I....." Cole tried to talk, his voice was broken, "There was like four or five of them." He said as his mind relaxed and his voice rejuvenated. "They got made 'cause they wasn't invited to our party."

The medic turned around to all of them, "Did they all get away?"

Cole spoke again, "Yeah...., all of the bastards. Thought they was so cool until my boy arrived." He explained, motioning to Zac

Lerna and Royce were puzzled, but went along with it, not saying a single word until they went to put Cole into the ambulance, "Wait!" She said as she walked towards them. She leaned down to whisper to Cole, "I hope you've learned your lesson, Kessler. We'll see you at the hospital."

Cole tried to laugh, but it was too much strain, "Lerna...," he whispered, "step foot in that hospital and I will personally shove my foot up your ass. I didn't narc on you or him because we will finish this. I don't leave things half-assed. Y'all better watch your backs." Cole pulled his head away from hers and they loaded him up. He couldn't help but give her a parting gift as he raised his left hand and flipped her off.

Before the medics left, Cole had made a request. The female driver walked up to Anna and Zac, "Mr. Kessler has requested that both of you come with us to the hospital."

Jalen rolled over onto her side, squinting as someone shook her and Zac beside her. Wait, what? The blonde groaned as she glanced at the Asian boy, turning over onto her other side. She didn’t want to know, but they were both still clothed so hopefully the spooned and that would be the end of it. Her hopes were affirmed as Zac groggily asked why he had been awoken.

Her dark eyes passed over Larousse momentarily, wondering why he was in his gitch. Jalen moaned again, “You guys suck,” she mumbled, burying her head in her pillow. Why was Cole always having drama going on? She was not in the mood to be his wing woman, not when she felt like she was right now. She stayed in the guest bed as the other two left for the battle, and she was happy.

But then the windows shattered, and Zac’s stupid bat scream made her fall out of bed in shock. The blonde managed to shield her ears, this time not sure if she should shield anyone else so she didn’t try to help anyone else but herself. She struggled to her feet and went down the steps, the guy who had given her that cooler before approaching her. “Hey baby, how you feeling?” He asked her, and she simply started at him. “You should’ve stayed in bed, I was about to come right up.” That’s when Jalen knew it must’ve been this guy who spiked her drink.

The girl wound up and punched the guy right in the jaw, sending him to the floor. She was feeling an adrenaline rush and ignored the pain in her head and abdomen. Jalen walked out of the house easily then, as those left in Cole’s place made room for her. She saw the ambulance leave, an ambulance driver speaking to Zac and some other girl. Turning back into the house, she turned the music off and got herself ready to have her voice propelled. “Alright everyone,” she said to those who were still conscious, “you don’t have to go home but you can’t stay here.” No one moved. Jalen sighed and rolled her eyes, this time screaming as loudly as she could and then manipulating it to sound fairly similar to Zac’s bat scream, but louder.

Jalen left with everyone, closing the door behind her. Hopefully no one would do anything stupid in there. She approached Zac and the other girl who she had seen earlier. “So what’s the deal?” She asked, her dark eyes cloudy, but hey, at least she was standing now.

Relief washed over Zac when he saw the flashing lights and heard the loud sirens come close. At least he wouldn’t have to worry much about Cole, or his blonde girlfriend who was shoved by the gorilla. He’s fairly sure he’s only knocked the two hooligans unconscious, but if they want to be checked, then so be it.

Seems his first-aid training paid off. The grins on the paramedics’ faces told him that he did quite the job botching Cole up. He’d need a few stitches, he overheard, but he’ll live. Thank goodness. Blood on his hands is something Zac doesn’t really wish for.

“I really don’t know. Something about Lerna, I think,” he shrugged, casually sitting on the sidewalk as he talked. The downswing of the adrenaline rush he felt earlier is starting to bog him down. He’s feeling rather cold, not to mention noticing that he forgot to put on footwear or even button his jeans up as he ran down. “All I knew is that from all the people in this party, all those capable of stopping the fight, I was the one who had to be dragged to stop this. It’s stupid really.”

The argument. The fight. The reason behind it. So shallow. So soap-opera-esque. He hates it.

He was a little surprised when Cole spoke up and said something else entirely. Was he trying to be a hero now? ‘Cause in Zac’s mind, it was a huge mistake. Well, dating a psycho was the biggest mistake here, but hey, there’s not much he can do to reverse that fact. So the least he can do is turn those two in and be on with his life.

The mimic was already on his way back to Cole’s bedroom when he was stopped by the paramedic and told that Cole needed him. Seriously? He thought. “You serious? Can’t you just take his two blonde girlfriends?”

Fine. He’s a guest, he’s his host. Be grateful LaRousse, be grateful.

I was gonna do a hospital topic, but I think I'll just fast-forward to the present as I have already posted with Zac and Naomi. So, my next thread will take place in the clubs. And yes, it will be open!))
