Perfect weather for a jog(Mercy)

It was pretty early in the day, the sky was still pink with the night still retreating. This was the perfect time he thought, driving his car down to the lake. He knew that there was a few trails by the lake that offered a good view and a good jog. Jogging was one of his favorite past times, even though he had only one work out outfit. That didn't bother him, he kept his workout clothes clean at least. Reaching his destination it was easy to find a good parking place since it was early enough that most people wouldn't be at the lake, besides it was turning winter which helped the parking situation. Slowly he got out of his car and stretched, leaving the black door open so the music from his radio can keep him entertained while he was stretching. Tristan knew that if he didn't stretch before jogging around or near the lake he would get stiff and be sore the next day. Being a dancer, that wasn't an option for him.

Reaching in he shut the car off and locked the doors, grabbing his i-pod before taking off. He started out with a slow jog by the lake, watching the suns reflection as he jogged listening to metal, which was his work out music. The heavy metal songs got him pumped up enough to work, it wasn't that he listened to it all the time like a metal head, it was more like he had a type of music for every situation. Tristan was always prepared for the situation or so he thought, after all his day had just begun.

The cold of the water tickled Mercy’s skin. She loved how the water looked in the winter. The ice let loose a wondrous blue light. Mercy smiled at her reflection in the ice, her red hair floated around her, suspended in the water. She felt her lungs starting to run low on air, with the grace of some one who had done this before she swam to the ice and pounded her hand on it till the thin sheet broke. Using her body strength, or what little she had, she pulled herself out of the lake and sat on the ice, reinforcing it so it would take her weight.

She looked up to see a guy running toward her. Smiling the girl in jeans a t-shirt and a pair of slip on shoes waved to the boy. One of the good things about being a ice mutant was that she could stand cold much more easily then most. While this was slightly chilly to her, it was easy enough to bare. “Hello!” She said to the guy. She climbed up and skipped across the iced over lake, skating to a halt at the shore line. She never stopped smiling.

Tristan was shocked standing there looking at the girl who was obviously in the lake. He didn't know why she was in the lake, it was definitely too cold to swing let alone just sit there. With eyes wide he just stared at her, even after she said hello, he was just shocked. After about five minutes Tristan got to thinking that it might not be a bad idea to have someone like her on his side. After all he was looking for people he could use, and who couldn't use a girl who seemed to be able to with stand the cold temperatures of the water. "um...Hi....Aren't you freezing?!" Tristan added a little bit of fake concern in there, even though sometimes he couldn't tell himself if it was fake or real. Looking her over he wondered if he should show her courtesy and hand her his jacket, all though it was HIS jacket, and he wasn't one to share.
