He was going through the strings. There were many, each set more expensive than the last. This time the young boy was determined to get a good set. His deep green eyes read the information on the packaging before he took the crinkling paper in his hand. Last time the string hadn’t cost much but this time they were considerably more. Of course, last time he had gotten the least expensive guitar strings and they had snapped much too easily. It was a shame really since they had a good sound. But they wouldn’t stayed tuned properly so he knew he had to get a different set. That’s why he was down here at the mall. Already he had steered far clear of the Starbucks. The coffee he had had there last time was abominable. He didn’t want anything to do with such coffee again.
The boy then went and looked over at the guitars. He had to pause, seeing that there was still an open place from where Taeyeon had bought her guitar. He had planned on helping her learn to play the beautiful instrument but she had gotten back together with Cole and that plan had fallen through. Somehow in the back of his mind he had a feeling it would but that was okay. He had someone else in mind that was who he really wanted to date. Ember.
The girl was amazing. She loved the same kinds of music and she also played soccer. She was competitive and witty and just fun to be around in general. And lately Zaer had run into her several times, a few literally as he had come around corners hurrying to jot something down and not seen her. The resulting bookish paper messes always took a few minutes to clean up in which they exchanged greeting and small talk. But really Zaer wanted to be able to converse with her, not just talk about the wind and weather. Around Hammel that was a chancey thing at best to talk abot anyway because you never knew when one of the weather manipulators would change mood, the weather changing with them.
Zaer moved over to the stand full of music, thoughts still on the girl. It had been a long while since he had been in a real relationship. He just sort of… well, he was really thick sometimes when it came to girls. And even though he liked to flirt in his own sort of way he didn’t know a thing about holding a relationship down for long periods of time. He wanted to try, but there was no one he liked that much. Oh well, you know what they say. You won’t believe what love can do until it happens to you.
