It had been a month since she'd last seen Taitum. His car had been around the places she was from time to time, so she knew he was still in town, but they hadn't talked at all. Sometimes, she wondered if he was watching her, feeling like there were eyes on her, but she never saw anyone. It was frustrating to say the least. Celli had been sure that he would have come back to allow her to apologize. But that opportunity hadn't materialized, and she was running out of patience. So, she'd decided to go troll through the local bars and see if he would show up. However, him being at the same bar wasn't enough, he had to be guaranteed to pay attention to her.
Celli took a shower, then spritzed a light floral scent onto her skin. She was treating this as if it were a dance competition, and she was going to dress to the nines. The glittering dress laid on her bed was just this side of legal, hugging her curves and ending barely at mid-thigh. The gold-studded heels gave her a few inches of height, and the accessories she chose only accented the the glitter and impression she wanted to give. Her makeup was dark and smoky, her hair a bit wild. It was a carefully manipulated look, and it took her about an hour to get ready. But once she was, she blew a kiss to herself in the mirror, and then grabbed her black clutch and headed out. She was going to find someone tonight, that was for sure.
She got lucky on her fourth bar. She'd been out for a couple hours by then. Remembering the lesson of last time though, she'd been sticking to water or other non-alcoholic drinks. She was not going to be drunk this time when she met up with Taitum. What was making her so brave, she didn't know, she just knew that this had to be done. At the very least, she had to apologize, and at best, well, perhaps, just perhaps, her dry streak would end. Treading carefully, she eased up on a stool, the dress inching up to expose more of her tanned thigh, and ordered a water, as well as buying Tait a round of whatever he was drinking. Opening salvo fired, Aracelli waited for him to notice her.
