Alyssa wore a black fitting dress. She had, of course, snuck out of her house to go to the club. How she was getting in? That was a different question. Not only did she not pass for 18, she most definitely couldn’t get in without her fake ID. Which she had left at home, so that did her little good. She had let people pass in front of her, her annoyance growing more. She wanted in, where they were dancing and possibly grab a drink of some heavy liquor. She didn’t normally drink, but her cold body wanted some kind of warmth in it. Sighing deeply, she almost decided to give up.

There were some people she knew from school, she gave them a passing hello and smile, trying to look like she was waiting for someone, instead of standing out in the freezing weather like a complete and totally idiot. She cursed at herself for forgetting the one main thing she needed on this little sneak out. She clutched her bag, wondering if she should call her brother or not.

The brown in her hair had grown out and her hair grazed the top of her spine. She remembered the little dinner her family had, and wondered what Ollie was doing. Probably trying to get her in trouble. Her brother, as always, is oblivious to the world and wouldn’t even know she went out. She gave a little chuckle and finally decided to head home. She raised her three inch heeled feet up and ran into someone. She dropped her bag and everything in it spilled out. “Son of a bitch!” she said, completely unlady like.

[Linden McKay]

Linden was on his way to the club. The boy needed some serious pick-me-up of hard liquor. Ah, the joys of being 21 and not having to use a fake ID. It was rare that he was caught using it, but still, now he didn't have to worry at all about getting caught doing something bad. All he had to do was show the big guy at the door his ID and the guy at the bar. It was an official ID now! Woot! Linden was just that thankful for being older. Sure, he wasn't big on getting much older. He didn't want wrinkles. But this was the age where everything good started happening.

Lin invited Mira to come drink with him, but she was busy 'studying' and bailed on him. So this would be a lonely drinking day. He walked up in his slick attire. Always clean shaven and smooth. Or so he believed. As he was making his way to the door a girl ran straight into him and dropped her bag. He smirked at her language and knelt down to help her clean it up, "Maybe you should be a little careful sweetheart." He gathered her things and handed a few to her.

She looked young, too young for a club such as this. And she seemed to realize that a little late. Feeling like the sorry sap he was, Linden figured he'd help her out a bit. "You do know that you won't get in without a fake ID or someone that is twenty-one. Lucky for you I happen to be of the legal age limit. You want in? You gotta be my date." He flashed her a charming smile and offered her his hand as he stood. "It's your choice beautiful. I can even get you a few drinks." He said it quietly enough for only her to hear, careful of the bouncer that was only a few feet away.

Lyssa allowed herself a few looks over his attire and his looks before she answered him. He was smooth, smoothly dressed and definitely a charmer. He sounded foeign like her Lucah, not her Lucah, anybody’s Lucah…well maybe- she tore her thoughts away from the missing boy. He had been avoiding her or more like, she had been avoiding him. She didn’t want to talk to him at the moment, she was too busy falling in love far away.

This suave man was offering her a way into the club for free, and possibly some drinks. That’s definitely what she needed. Some hard alcohol to make her foget about her so called prince charming. She pulled her phone into her clutch bag, looking back at the bouncer, who was letting people in with fake IDs or real ones.

This was her big moment, the moment she finally got in without the choice of using her fake Id and possibly getting found out. “Lyssa James, sure, I’d love to be your date.” He wasn’t much older than her, and he made her forget about the boy who made her swoon.

[Lucah Ivaskov]

Lucah was so not wanting to deal with anyone or anything. His thoughts had been completely consumed with thoughts of something rather unpleasant, or someone rather. And it wasn't so much that she was unpleasant, in fact she was beautiful and...no. He would not think of her today. This was going to be a break. He hadn't seen her in nearly a week. Nor had she tried talking to him. He'd passed by the auditorium multiple times in hopes of hearing her sing again, but she hadn't been there.

He hadn't sang since then. Mostly because if he did, he tried to imagine the sound of her voice mixed with his. It was haunting and so damn beautiful! He hated it. He hated what she was doing to him. She was turning him into one of those guys on a stupid soap opera. No way would he become that. The thought alone made him shudder.

Luc made his way to the club, fake ID in his pocket and the desire to drink incredibly strong. He was dressed exactly the same. All black, the same shoes, and the same jacket. His wardrobe needed updating. He wasn't a shopping type person so he wore what he had and didn't complain. As he made his way to the club he caught sight of two people kneeling down on the ground. One a slightly older guy, the other a leggy girl with...bright green eyes.

Jealousy was an ugly thing, but on Lucah could it really make him ugly? No, but he was about to make the other guy ugly. His fists clenched, but he stepped back into a crowd of people so that she wouldn't see him. He couldn't handle talked to her with her date standing right beside her. The boy was in college he was sure and he seemed to be quite the charmer. Lucah frowned and looked down.

Alyssa thought she saw a little bit of Luc’s hand, maybe his bright blue eyes or those shoes he always wears, but she brushed it off. As the man waved his ID to the bouncer, he urged them inside. It never ceased to amaze her how loud and comfortable it made her. She normally hated crowds, but with shitty music blaring in her ears and guys grinding her from every turn, it made her seem…wanted. It also made her feel slutty. The guy’s hand was still on her arm, keeping her behind at all times. She was being tugged at all directions.

She turned her head, instant regret of coming in, and tried to find his face, a familiar face. Someone to brush this guy off with. But nevertheless, she followed him and they came to a bar. She wasn’t sure what she wondered, hard alcohol still pretty high on her list. Her body was emotionally tired and she was still physically trying to find herself in the crowd. “So, I’d like some vodka and coke please,” she told him. She hoped he would hear her.

Linden could tell the girl was a bit distracted. Maybe thinking of what her parents would do if they found out she was accepting an offer from a completely stranger. He wasn't really the creeper type, only when the girl was willing (wink wink) would he ever push his own limits. But the girl with him was definitely NOT old enough for him. She couldn't have been much older than Deidra and Kierri, that made him feel pedophile-ish.

The deeper into the club he went, the weirder he felt. What if this situation was different? How would he feel if his littlest sister had accepted to be a date for a guy four years older than her, just to get a drink? He'd flip shit if he ever found out. He had dealt with it before. Ceri had done it multiple times when she was younger and it nearly drove him to insanity.

The more he thought about it, the more resolved he got. He'd hang out with the girl, maybe get to know her, see if she knows Deidra. But he wouldn't act as his usual flirty self. That seemed incredibly inappropriate. "I'm Linden McKay for what it's worth. You may know one of my siblings, or several. They're everywhere." He smiled back at her and kept a close watch on most of the guys that looked at her. The glance screamed, 'back off' but it wasn't so much a protective date thing, it was more of the protective big brother thing.

When she ordered he couldn't help but smirk. The girl could hold her own with her alcohol? She was really starting to remind him of Ceri. What if she had an older brother? If that was the case, Lin hoped desperately that the older brother would understand he was trying to keep her from ending up with a hormone-filled boy that didn't understand what it was like saving his younger sister from these situations. Linden had done it plenty of times.

"I'll take a beer. So Alyssa, what brings you out to a club like this?" He asked with a bit of an implication in his voice that added 'without an ID and under aged.'

Alyssa knew right off the bat that her brother would have some kind of fit if he knew this twenty-odd looking man had picked up his little sister. But she deemed herself old enough to actually make these kind of decisions and it wasn’t like she out getting screwed. She knew how to fend off guys and it if came to it, she would shift and run away. They would never be able to catch her. She looked a the male beside her and wondered why he even helped her. She turned in her seat momentarily and watched as some black haired dude winked at her.

She caught sight of what she thought was Lucah again, but turned her back. “Well, let’s see, I’m rebelling against my father and my mother is dead and my brother is a prick, so I needed to get some nice cooling off and a nice drink,” she retorted to him. Underage her ass, he had let her in and he was buying her an alcoholic drink, he wasn’t exactly guy of the year. She took a sip of the water that had been laid out in front of her.

“Well, that’s really what my story is. I don’t do anything else personal. And I don’t know your siblings, I tend to scare everyone away with my appearance, it’s like I’m trying to eat them or something!” She waved a hand dismissively and turned in her seat again, her face fully open to the entrance. She was watching for Brendan or her father in case they came in to see if she was there or to relieve some stress off.

Lucah had snuck his way in carefully, trying hard to make SURE she didn't see him. He wasn't sure he'd be able to handle it. What was she doing with a guy like that? What the hell was that guy even thinking?! But he could have sworn he knew the guy from somewhere, maybe not well, but something about him was familiar. He probably had never seen the guy, but maybe someone had talked about him...

He caught the tale end of the guy's name and it struck him. He was Deidra's older brother! EW!!!

Lucah had to file his way through the crowd and ended up on the other side of the bar away from Lyssa, but close enough to hear her rant. The guy had clearly set her off and his muscles tensed. Being as protective as he was, if that guy made Lyssa mad, he'd get a good punch in the face for sure. Probably two by the looks of Alyssa's reaction.

He ordered a beer and flashed the bartender his ID with no hesitation. God help him, if she saw him here, he was screwed. Would she even care? He doubted it, but he wasn't really in the mood to deal with Deidra's brother after having been set up on a date with her. Linden hadn't liked that much, so he'd probably remember Lucah by name. So, in order to keep anything too bad from happening, Luc kept his head down and only glanced at Lyssa when he knew she wasn't looking.

Ha, or so he thought he was.

Alyssa turned her head to see Lucah. Fury filled up inside of her. She couldn’t believe he was there, and on top of it all, he was ignoring her. She got down from her chair carefully and chugged the entire drink down which left a sour taste in her mouth. Her feet felt like they were slipping on ice, but once her head came back around, she knew where she was and where she was going. Him being there, it was almost too much to bear. The growing feeling was like a freakin tree. Every time she saw him, it watered it. Her heart was pounding away.

She felt her arm be tugged on and the guy who had winked at her earlier. She saw up close he was extremely hot. He was also taller than her and a fast beat song was playing in the background. When he pulled her to his middle, she started to grind up on him, moving her hips in an extremely provocative way. His lips found her neck and he laid small kisses on it. She was probably in heaven, but she knew it was wrong. The only reason she hadn’t stopped the strange man was because she wanted to make Lucah miss her.

She turned half-open green eyes right onto him. Lyssa mouthed the words, it was song of break-up and it was angry. She would’ve sang it to him, but the man was still behind her, doing funny things to her neck and her hips still worked in a way that had him already turned on, she could tell.

Lucah caught a glimpse of her looking at him and he had a total facepalm moment. He tried to hide his face again, but knew it was no use. She'd seen him and she looked pissed. He glanced back at her and noticed she was getting up. At first he thought she was coming to yell at him and he was prepared to meet her half way so that she didn't end up falling, but then she was pulled away by another guy.

Heat boiled through Lucah furiously. Seeing her with Linden was one thing, mostly because Linden hadn't done anything besides buy her a drink and let her in with him. But this guy was all over her and Lucah didn't like it one bit. The song in the background sort of fit the situation in a way and it seemed to make him more angry. Was she trying to be stupid? Or was it natural for her to act this way?

Rebelling was one thing, but acting like this was a wholly different thing. She was acting very slutty and Lucah knew she was better than that. The more she looked at him, the more his anger built up. The bottle in his hand froze and he slammed it down on the counter, just light enough so that it didn't shatter.

Pushing himself away from the bar he made his way through the crowd. He got pulled in by a girl, but quickly dismissed her, his mind was set on other things. Making her jealous was not one of them. He pushed the guy back and put himself in between the two, "You're getting dangerously close to having a bruised face pretty boy." Lucah's tone was low, but just loud enough for the older man to hear him. Threatening people was usually only done when his sister or Belle had been involved, but here he was threatening a guy because of a girl he wasn't even with.

He turned to Alyssa and gave her a cold look, "And if I were you, I'd go back to Linden before we both drag you out of here. We wouldn't want you to get an STD with the way you're acting right now." He snapped at her. It was harsh and not very gentlemanly, but Lucah was furious and he never thought before he spoke when he was angry.

Alyssa was being wretched by another guy. One look at the fuming boy said it was Lucah and he meant business. Russell, he had told him his name, looked down with a slight amused look on his face. If only looks could kill, she didn’t know who would be dead first. Russell looked like he wanted to take the first swing, but his temper was controlled by a set of cold words that even made her shudder. “I see. A jealous boyfriend perhaps?” he asked, looking over Lucah to Lyssa who hastily shook her head no. She didn’t want to be associated with him. She could practically tell what he was thinking; would it be worth the trip to jail to punch the little shit? He must have changed his mind because he turned on his heel, but not without planting a kiss on Lyssa’s mouth. Her mouth hung open.

She then turned her attention to the raging boy. He wasn’t causing a scene, she glad of that. But his words sent chilling ice down her spine. Suddenly she wished that he had punched him or did something to Lucah. It felt like he was getting away with something. He basically just called her slutty, or a whore. She stood up to her height, which wasn’t tall compared to him and slapped him for all she was worth. She then felt like crying.

Her body began to morph just like it always did when she was under emotional stress. He was definitely stressful, that boy. Tears still rolled down her cheeks as she heard her pretty dress rip and the shoes that lay beside it. She curled up into a giant purple ball somewhere off in the woods. Lyssa then tipped her mouth up to howl at the moon. It was an agonizing howl and it tore through the night sky like a scar. No one had ever even indicated that she was being slutty; no one had ever mentioned it or even hinted to it. She had always thought that when the time came and someone did say it out loud, she would be able to shrug it off. She would be able to go back to whatever she was doing, but Lucah seemed to make it worse.

Lucah could handle some douche bag guy any day of the week. It didn't matter that the guy was older and a little bit bigger. He'd dealt with much worse, anyone who knew his father would laugh at this boy in comparison. The look on his face did nothing but irritate Luc more. All he wanted to do was punch the guy, but not for what he said. That had no affect on him. No, he wanted to punch this college kid because of the way he'd just kissed Alyssa right in front of a very angry Lucah. It took everything he had in him, not to strike the boy and really go at him.

When he turned to Lyssa, he hadn't been thinking of what he was saying. He was angry and lashing out. It was a defense mechanism. Lucah was hurt because she was out with Linden and had just made out with and grinded with a guy she didn't even know. He felt betrayed in a sense because he'd shared stuff with her that barely anyone ever got the chance to know. Had that meant nothing to her? He didn't get a chance to ask.

The force of the smack made his head snap to the side and he winced. The wincing had nothing to do with the pain and the red welt on his cheek. It had everything to do with the fact that he'd said something that was simply unforgivable and had expected her to do nothing. Had his mother or sister been there to witness his cruelty, they would have been thoroughly disappointed. But that wasn't the thought that invaded Lucah's mind. He couldn't help but think that he was turning more into the man he hated.

Before he could get a chance to wallow in his own self-pity, he launched himself through the crowd to go after her. One might ask if he was looking to get hit again, but he really just felt horrible and if hitting him would make her feel better, he'd let her do it again. He couldn't reach her in time before she hit the woods. "Lyssa!" He called out as he made his way outside in a frenzy to look for her. He found nothing, didn't even hear her voice calling for a taxi or anything to take her back to the institute. Instead he heard an agonizing howl and it fit the way he felt right then.

Completely miserable.

Lyssa lumbered to her feet afraid that he would find her. She startled many people, some were coming forward as if to see she was real. She turned her bright green eyes towards his figure and walked out into the crowd, looking at him defiantly and then turned back to run.

Thorns and branches pulled at her hair and she ran until she was home. The light was on in her bedroom and vaguely she knew she didn’t leave it on. She sighed and slowly morphed back into her human form, wishing she had anything to put on. She wrapped herself in a blanket from the living room and went to her room. Her brother was passed out on her bed. She dressed and crawled into the bed next to him. She could care less about what he would do in the morning.

All she wanted to do was sleep.
