Why was she doing this again?

Oh yes, to have fun. Duh.

Dressed as she was, she wore sweatpants over her shorts, tucked into her boots, as she rode into town and to the club district. She was feeling bored, needed some fun…needed some booze and a boy to make out with, was more like it. In the bags on her bike were her high heels and stuff to fix her hair with, since all of her waves were piled under a stuffy helmet as she navigated the streets.

Finding one that looked nice, she parked in front and killed the engine, dismounting and taking off her helmet at the same time. She unzipped her jacket, drawing the attention of some males hanging outside, and threw it in the bags, along with taking out her heels and taking off her boots. A few whistles sounded when she shimmied out of her pants, strapping on her heels and brushing her hair really quick.

After making sure everything she had was packed and she had her leather jacket with her wallet, she walked up to the front door and smiled at the bouncer, handing him the money needed to enter. After that, she walked inside to some heavy music blasting out of the speakers and lights flashing everywhere. She found a table close by and set her jacket down before she sat, watching the people dance for a little bit. The music wasn’t her thing, so she’d wait until something she liked came over the speakers.

Or until some cute boy asked her to dance.

So Jace had actually been here a while.

He had been called out on sulking by his roommates, thrown into what was known as the club district, and told to "have fun". He would seriously harm LaRousse someday--if only he could say it was self-defense. But for now, Zac likely had his little rich-boy butt back at some girl's apartment or his own mansion. Yes, he had found out that Zac had a mansion. Not much of a secret--not like the "secret" of the boy's stuffie collection. Oh yes, Zac. He knew about that, too.

The pounding bass and tinny human sound of the club slowly became background noise to his throbbing headache and mildly sour mood. He was sitting in a chair that was leaned back against the wall, next to a pile of something he really didn't want to look to closely at for fear of discovering what it really was. In between a group of dancing girls and a couple that really needed to take it off the floor and get a room, Jace caught sight of a girl by the entrance wearing rather short leopard print shorts. He stood, trying to get a better look at her, but then she was gone. The crowd had moved, and apparently her with it, because when he saw the spot she had been standing in again, she was completely not there. He leaned back against the wall, next to the chair, trying to decide what to do next. In the end, he stayed where he was.

He would chase Cinderella in a second.

“Let me buy you a drink.”

She looked up from stuffing her small wallet into her back pocket to look at the guy who had just spoken to her. He was tall and dark and suave, looking at her with a well-practiced smile and eyes that roved over her form. She started feeling creeped out, but she couldn’t do anything to scare him away. As much as she’d like to use her tactile powers, there was nothing in reach to charge with the kinetic energy. “No thanks, I’m not thirsty,” she told him as politely as she could, scooting away to walk across the club.

A touch of a cold, slimy hand. “At least dance with me,” the man said, holding her wrist in a firm grip.

Andi turned and gently tapped his wrist; by gently, she meant that she cuffed the guy’s wrist hard enough to make him let go. Hearing his muttered curse, she walked into the throng of people, ignoring the lingering looks and the brush of subtle hands against her skin. She looked behind her and saw the guy following her, anger in his dark eyes.

Now she felt the true stirrings of fear.

She brushed up against someone against the wall, a well-muscled someone who caught Andi’s attention, but as soon as she tried to leave, she couldn’t. Drawn like a magnet, her navel piercing was keeping her from moving. Knowing that that wasn’t natural, and that only meant one thing, she looked up into the boy’s eyes and found an idea that would make the creeper guy go away.

“I’m so sorry, but could you pretend to be my boyfriend for, like, five minutes? I think someone’s stalking me,” she asked the guy, her lips a few inches from the guy’s chin. She looked behind her and saw the guy coming closer, and the fear prompted her to turn back around, wrap her arms around his neck, and lay her lips on the foreign guy’s mouth.

Maybe that would send the creep a message.

So as it turned out, Jace didn't need to chase Cinderella.

Suddenly, there she was, and he felt his power acting up again just at the wrong time. Or, maybe this time... the right time? She said she needed him to pretend to be her boyfriend because there was someone stalking her. He was immediately concerned, and said "Well, Yes, but--" and then his argument that they should leave and/or call the police was immediately lost when she kissed him. Seriously, this thing came from nowhere, and Jace couldn't say he wasn't pleasantly surprised. What seventeen-year-old wouldn't have been at least a little thrilled, in the back of his mind, with the fact that a very pretty girl attached herself to him and started making out with him?

Just to make it look more realistic to the stalker, he swears, Jace cupped her face in one hand and stroked her hair with the other. He pulled away a bit, breaking the kiss, and said quietly, "What direction is he in so that I know where to direct my scorn." Then he spotted a guy out of the corner of his eye that was just sort of... Standing there and scowling in their direction. He made sure to not look at him directly and act completely casual. Or as casual as he could with a random girl stuck to him by what felt like a belly-button ring, kissing him as her fake boyfriend. "Wait. I think I see him. Tall, dark, and creepy?"

He raised his voice to a slightly louder than normal volume, one that would be at least heard enough by anyone just outside of their tiny personal bubbles. "Hey, babe. I missed you today. How's the school treating you?" He was throwing conversation out there, to make them seem familiar enough to each other. Hopefully the creep would get the message and leave before Cinderella had to run.

She felt him tense against her, and with her eyes closed she willed him to understand what she was doing. It seemed he read her mind, because he softened towards her and kissed her back, one hand cupping her cheek, the other tangled in her hair. Knowing that to be an erogenous zone, she shivered against him before he pulled his mouth away, a complaint on her lips before he spoke, asking her where the guy was. She opened her eyes, slightly glazed hazel looking into deep blue, and looked over her shoulder, seeing said creeper looking at them with a dark scowl.

“Yes,” she whispered to him before he spoke again, acting like he was, indeed, her boyfriend to make the guy go away. She chuckled and looked up at him, tightening her arms around his neck and pressing her body flush to his, acting the part. “I missed you too, sweetheart,” she replied in a louder voice, looking over her shoulder as the man grunted and moved away. She took a deep sigh of relief and moved a little aways from the boy, but kept her arms around him; it seemed her belly button ring was still attached to his abs.

She looked up at him and smiled gratefully. “Thank you for helping me,” she said softly to him, bringing down a hand to present it to him. “My name’s Andi, I go to Hammel. It’s so nice to meet you.” The last was said with a grin, because of the circumstances in which they had met. “You’re cute. I must have good taste in the boys I kiss,” she added before landing another small kiss on his mouth, pulling away with a twinkle in her eye.

So it was an extreme relief to Jace as well when the creep disappeared into the crowd. He thought he would be able to step away from her, let her lean away a bit, but no. His power was obviously still active, because her piercing was still stuck to his midsection. At least they could both move a little, just not any farther away from each other. He put an arm loosely around her shoulders and smiled. He was still worried about he of immense creepiness showing back up, so even if his magnetism decided to stop working, he would likely stick around the girl for the rest of the night to make sure nothing happened.

He nodded, said "You're welcome." and took her hand with his free one. "Jason. Jace for short, I guess. I go to Hammel, too." And then he nearly laughed when he realized they were shaking hands and introducing themselves, all civil-like, when three seconds ago they were making out in a club and calling each other cliched pet names. Then he spotted the creep in the crowd again, over Andi's shoulder, and he nearly told her to wait there while he claimed self-defense and dislocated the guy's shoulder, but then she kissed him again.

Well, there went that thought.

He chuckled, the very slight pink tinge to his face hopefully not noticeable under the dim-to-colored lighting in the club. He was about to make a comment in response to "good taste in the boys I kiss" thing, but then the song and the atmosphere changed noticeably. It became louder, faster, more bass-fueled. People started jumping around, pulling other people onto the floor with them, and just all-around setting a certain mood that everybody in the entire club needed to be on the floor. Jace, with his seeming inability to dance despite being so light and quick on his feet in a fight, wished for nothing more than to be out of the club just then.

Jace…she savored the taste of his name on her tongue, found that she quite liked it, liked it enough to notice the heat flushing on his cheeks from her second kiss. Aww, he was cute, blushing because a hot girl was stuck against him. She took the time to untangle her arms from around his neck and slide her hands through his hair down his neck. The blonde strands were soft as she trailed her fingers down his neck to his shoulders, her eyes darkening as she observed the width of them. In her bare feet, he was a good three inches taller than her, and in her heels, she was still an inch shorter than him.

She rested her hands on his shoulders and looked up from his chest into those blue eyes. “So I take it your power is magnetism? she asked, her voice loud enough for him to hear but soft enough that no humans heard as the music started up. She moved her hips a little to the music, delighted to find that she could move her midsection away from his. She started dancing a little to the music, staying within the circle of his arms. It felt nice, to dance with someone she felt safe with and not within the gyrating crowd behind her. Jace was a hottie, by Andi’s standards, with those surfer good looks and those piercing blue eyes, not to mention the body the boy had.

It made Andi shiver.

“In case you were wondering, I have tactile combustion as a power. Like, Gambit’s power from X-Men,” she told him, smiling as she gave him the full power of her hazel eyes, which were more green now than brown.

Jace shivered, just slightly, a tremor barely noticeable to even him, when Andi ran her fingers through the hair in the sensitive area at the nape of his neck. It felt good, he would admit that much. And hey, it was all right to talk with a girl at a club--if what they had been doing still completely counted as "talking". Either way, Jace wasn't going to be the one to cry about it, that was for sure.

Jace nodded at her question, a half-smirk making its way onto his lips, and said, at the same volume as the girl now actually dancing with him, "I can't make metal fly around, though. I can only get stuck to it." He hoped that explained the entirety of his power, because, well, that was pretty much it. Nothing too exciting there, unless a stray bullet or thrown knife or dropped fork decided to turn his way. Then he had to worry, but other than that his power was one of the more boring ones.

Jace's eyebrows rose when he heard her power, but he grinned when a thought popped into his head. "You know, if we were to hang out at Hammel, there would be people yelling 'Hey, there go Magneto and Gambit!'" He chuckled at the thought of that.

It was funny, the way he described his powers. She could see him getting stuck to a car door, a toaster…her belly button ring. She didn’t mind that he had caught her; she was only glad he was a respectable guy who knew how to treat a girl. Her hips kept moving to the music, occasionally moving against his as she kept in character of being his girlfriend and dancing with him to keep the creeper man at bay, for she still felt his eyes on her slender form.

His next words, however, made her laugh and look up at him, her eyes twinkling. “They call you Magneto? Are you serious?” she asked him, pleasant surprise filtering on her face. Truly, she was surprised; it was just too good to be true, for him to have the power over metal as she had the power over the cards. “That is too funny,” she said as she laughed again. Feeling a new beat come on over the stereo system, she turned her body, pressing her back to his chest, keeping his arms wrapped around her waist, as she laid her arms over his around her.

“Will you dance with me, Jace?” she asked nicely, looking over her shoulder at him. “I promise I’ll behave this time.” Even as she spoke, her hair slid over her back and shoulders, baring the arch of her neck to him.
