Kaytee hummed the song to herself as she walked down the street to the studio where she took lessons. Her teacher was amazing, she would never doubt that. She was incredibly grateful that her dad had saved up the money so she could take them from Reece. It was a serious rehearsal, but she and Reece always managed to have a lot of fun together. Although he was older than her, she loved spending time with him. She wasn't silly about it like some of the other dancers were.
Some of the girls mistook him for being affectionate toward them. While that could be true, he was their teacher. Friend, maybe, but nothing more. Kaytee had made sure she was confident in that before she continued her dancing with him.
They were working on a jazzy hip hop duet. Kaytee hadn't really gotten into hip hop before taking lessons from him, but she was one of those girls that was good at pretty much anything she did. Most people took that as intimdating and decided on not liking her because of it. Frankly, it made her sad that people judged her like that, but she knew that Reece loved it. It made teaching her so much easier.
Once she let herself into the studio, she got down into her spandex and sports bra and started to stretch. It made dancing easier when you wore spandex, she had learned that later on. She let out a hum of the music from her lips and knew that Reece would be coming down soon. He usually snuck in quietly and scared her. Or at least tried to.
She stood and started working on the end portion of the dancing, wanting to get it down. Even though she probably already did, she was a perfectionist and wanted it to be good. Kaytee didn't know how she had gotten so lucky to have Reece as a teacher, but she was grateful.
