The club was just about opening and Reece was getting more and more into this dancing thing. He was craving it. Moving. Sliding. Salsa. The warm sway of another body against his own. Instead, he sat by the bar and watched as Lacey completed her dancing lesson. He was annoyed that he could not offer any help during or with it. He wanted to dance and teach and Em wasn't there so he was free to do so without her seeing him.

The student waved goodbye to Reece as they left and he smiled and nodded at each one. A trickle of already there customers were hovering over their drinks and Reece turned lazily back to his own locking his eyes on Laker who was drying glasses.
"I'm dying here...."
Laker flashed a smirk to his friend.
"So go take Saigon for a walk. "
Everytime someone referred to the dog curled around the legs of Reece's bar stool, Reece was taken back to the day he'd met Sage.

Brief flashes of wonder crossed his mind as he thought back to those emerald eyes and his improbable and overly impossible desire for the hammel student.
"Have you and Lindsey been speaking again...?"
Laker gave a laugh and a little shrug.
"June's a few months away. You need to rest up your ankle. Little bitch."
Laker muttered the last part and Reece knew Laker was refering to Becca.

Reece huffed and turned away to see Anthony walk into the bar to start his shift. Reece's eyes flicked worriedly back to Laker who was scowling. Yeah, the two were still at ends, he'd heard. Reece got to his feet and headed to the stereo.
"I'm done. Ants! Center! Laker! You too!"
Anthony shrugged and moved to the center of the dance floor. Laker reluctantly joined when Lacey took over his duties. Reece switched over to a song that had made this club bounce more then a couple of times.

He took his place at the head of their group and started to lead them into a dance with the music blaring. Laker was soon laughing when he fell out of step with Reece leading the way and Anthony was soon helping him and then it was Reece's turn to flounder when he saw who was standing in the doorway. He stopped... his mouth dropped open and his blue eyes were locked on one thing only. The world fell away when he saw the blonde there... His boys stopped and glanced to the blonde boy in the doorway as well and Reece only moved when Anthony shoved him forward.

Reece shot a glare over his shoulder and ran his hand through his head, chest moving quickly after the quick dance movements he'd brought up earlier. He moved to Sage and smiled warmly.
"S-Sage right?"
Like he'd ever forget the name... Reece scratched at his hair and shifted awkwardly.
"Hi..."
The question hovered in the air between them. 'What Are you doing here Sage?' and Reece could only think of one answer he wanted to hear. 'Looking for you, Reece. Now I found you.'

Sage had not been able to get Reece out of his head since their meeting. It did not take much at all for him to remember the color of Reece's eyes, the smell of him when up close, and his dazzling smile. The boy finally decided enough was enough. He wasn’t going to run from the fact that he clearly liked him, and the feeling wasn’t going to go away anytime soon. So, he made the abrupt decision to find him at the club he often worked and take a leap of faith.

Ty had shown him once where the club was, and it had been easier than he expected to find again. It was a popular place, and getting further directions was not at all difficult. In fact, one of the girls he had asked seemed to swoon at the mention of it and sighed, ‘oh, the club with that really handsome brunette guy?’

It was clear that Reece had many suitors, and Sage felt much more nervous as he got closer to the club. However, the moment he stepped inside, he felt a bit of his unease disappear as he watched the marvelous dancing. It was not perfect, but the atmosphere was simply amazing. It was so upbeat and fun, and even when one of them made a small error, he laughed at the fun they were having. It was enough to leave Sage smiling, and when Reece’s beautiful blue eyes found their way to him, his body began to glow almost immediately.

The brunette was pushed towards him by his friends, and he seemed nervous around Sage as well for some strange reason, at least if he was seeing things correctly. He was so nervous himself, he wasn’t sure if he could think straight. The boy’s cheeks were tinted pink as his name was remembered, and he smiled, his own body shifting awkwardly as well.

“Hi, Reece. It’s nice to see you again…you really do dance as well as everyone says. I was hoping I would get to see it, but I thought for sure I would go to the wrong place. I’m glad I found my way here all right”

His words were a roundabout way for saying ‘I’m glad I found you.’

Reece was always amazed that even when he didn't have the right words to say, Sage was filling up the silence quite quickly. Reece gave a little laugh at the bubble of words that came spilling from Sage's lips and glanced over his shoulder at Anthony and Laker who were watching. He could feel them watching and they were standing so close together it was almost like they were watching their favourite soapy expecting the hero and heroine to kiss finally. Reece rolled his eyes and slipped into club owner mode.

The same club owner mode that had him very much liked by the many people that ventured into his club. He placed his hand on Sage's shoulder.
"Hang out here more often and you'll get to see tons of that. I'm glad you found us too. Is that the only reason you came? To see me dance? "
Reece tested, feeling just a little more relaxed at the fact that he and Sage were talking.
"Come on. Do you want a drink? "

Reece turned slowly guiding Sage toward the bar, as expected Ants and Laker made their ways back to their posts. Anthony put on 'We found love' by Rihanna and Reece shot him a glare but Lacey took the dancefloor this time and a few clients hovering by the bar quickly followed when the stunning young female shook her body to the music. Reece took a seat by the bar and Sai followed sitting down where Reece's chair was. Laker soon popped over, placing Reece's redbull in front of him.

"What would you like, sugar?"
Laker asked Sage quickly.
"Apart from Reece of course."
Reece rolled his eyes and shot a scowl at Laker who smirked between the two of them.
"And you my lovely boss? Besides him, would you like some vodka in your drink. Get the party started....? Reece is so funny when he's drunk."

Reece's cheeks heat up and he took a sip of his drink.
"Laker's playing matchmaker for me again."
"I just don't like the bimbo ballerina..."
Laker shrugged then turned his full attention to Sage while Reece tried to hide his worry and shock at Laker's slip. Maybe Sage was too wowed or something to notice. He could only hope right?

Sage could sense that the two of them were being observed, and his head lowered a bit in embarrassment. He really hoped he wasn’t putting Reece on the spot for being here. The last thing he wanted to do was make him feel uncomfortable, but the dancer seemed to ignore it and asked if he wanted a drink. Now that he thought about it, the walk here had made him quite parched, and he nodded slowly, following him to the counter.

The blond smiled at the dog by their side, and he gently leaned down to pet the animal’s head. Last time he had seen this dog, Reece had shown no intention of keeping him, but he was still here.

“You still have the dog. Did you decide to keep him after all?”

The question then asked by Reece’s friend caused him to flush, and every word he tried to get out was stuttered nervously. He needed something cold if he was going to try and cool his body down.

“I…um…water is fine…thank you”

The friend then went on to tease Reece, asking if he wanted alcohol to ‘get the party started’, and Sage laughed lightly. He had been drunk a few times himself, but he usually embarrassed himself and did not really feel like reliving such situations. The blush on Reece’s face was beautiful to Sage, and the thought that someone was trying to play matchmaker for them left the blond feeling both happy and incredibly nervous. His head lowered as he whispered his words, taking deep breaths so that he may find the courage to ask what he was about to ask.

“I was actually here to ask you something…”

Sage turned to the brunette, trying to pretend as if there was no one else around, and once he came into contact with those beautiful blue eyes, that very idea became much easier.

“…See, there’s a Valentine’s Day dance next week at Hammel, and I want to go, but I’m no good at dancing. I thought…I thought maybe you could teach me? And…go…with me?”

He stopped breathing for a moment, the air around them still as if time had stopped as he waited for Reece’s response. He hoped he wouldn’t let him down too badly.

Reece smiled down at Saigon when his head was petted by Sage giving Sage his big brown puppy dog eyes. It was partially Thyme and Sage who'd made him want to keep Sai. Sage who'd made him give Sai a name. Reece smiled softly at Sage and nodded.
"I kept him. His name is Sai. Saigon Cinnamon actually cause of those patches around his rump. They look like Cinnamon see?"
Reece indicated to the dog who just stared at him with those eyes.

Each time Sai game him those eyes, he could almost hear the dog saying 'You liar. My name is below Sage in Wikapedia. They might be stupid, but I'm not.' Reece smiled awkwardly down at Sai before flicking his eyes back up at Sage. That soft glow on Sage made Reece a little more aware of the people around them. Incase they were looking. Reece would make sure Sage was protected in his club... Meta friendly was always a good thing. Reece had to hold back a laugh when Sage started stuttering and moved a hand down Sage's back carefully to make sure he was okay with the teasing.

Laker and Anthony were always like this anyway. Reece sensed there was something serious that Sage wanted to discuss the moment the blonde turned to him, emerald eyes alight and intention in his eyes. His eyes locked on Sage and he smiled softly, warmly to encourage Sage to tell him what was on his mind. He hardly noticed that Sage's water had come and that Laker was busy topping his own drink up with something stronger. Reece didn't immediately think that Sage wanted him to go to the dance with him.

Reece had heard of the dance and it had gotten his younger sibling, Lindsey all in a flutter as she'd signed up for a blind date. He'd wondered if Emmanuelle would ask him to the dance but she never had but he assured himself that there was still a week left. He assumed, when Sage began, that he was like every typical teenage boy, embarressed about dancing and willing to give lessons a try. Reece reached for his drink and took a sip just as the last sentenc hit him. He swallowed too quickly, realized there was too much alcohol in there and covered his mouth coughing into his hand for a moment.

Once he felt like he could breathe again, he was staring at Sage. His hand slowly lowered from his lips.
"You want.... me... to go to the dance with you? Me? Really?"
From above them, little sparks began to fall and Reece's blush came back with a full vengence along with a few butterflies crawling from his sleeves and his hair and his collar.
"Oh God....I'm Sorry. Damn powers...."

"Reece...."
Reece's eyes shot to Laker shocked by the voice. He'd also seemed to have forgotten that anyone besides Sage was there.
"Please let me choose your outfit for you? Please. I assure you, you'll be the best looking guy for your valentine ever..."
Reece slowly lifted his hand for a moved to cover his eyes before reaching for Sage's hand and tugging him from the chair.

"Come on then. Your first lesson starts now."
Reece half purred. Once on the floor, Reece pulled Sage close to him into a hug.
"You didn't even need to ask. I couldn't resist you even if I wanted to."
Reece whispered in his ear finally alone with Sage. That glow... his skin. It was so warm and Reece thought that he could hold Sage forever. He didn't ever want to let go.

Sage smiled at the name Reece had given his dog. Saigon, huh? Sage had heard of Saigon cinnamon once before, but he couldn’t remember where. However, despite this, the name suited the dog perfectly as he glanced to the brown patch of fur that was pointed out. Even if it didn’t make sense at all, he liked it because it was the name that Reece had chosen.

“It’s perfect”

The brunette’s hand touched his back as if to comfort him from the teasing, but it did not bother him. He had been teased by just about everyone by now, so he had become immune, especially when they were only playful and had no harm. After all, it seemed that Reece’s friends could see right through him and could sense his attraction to the dancer.

When he finally got the question out, he frowned a bit at Reece’s reaction. He choked on his drink, and the blonde’s eyes shone with concern for him.

“Are you all right?”

Reece seemed almost in disbelief, and his eyes stared at him with such an astonished expression. Sage blushed at the question and nodded in response. His emerald eyes blinked at the strange and random flurry of butterflies that Reece seemed to have whenever he was around. His face was red as well, and Sage hoped that he had not somehow embarrassed him. Laker then pleaded to choose Reece’s outfit for him, and the boy’s eyes lit up with hope. Was he really…?

Suddenly, Reece took him by the hand and offered to start his lessons, and the boy glimmered even brighter, his smile wide.

“Really? You’ll go with me?”

Sage was pulled into an embrace, and his face flushed again at the closeness between them. It was so comforting and wonderful that he now cursed himself for not having sat next to Reece at the restaurant before rather than across from him. He smelled so good, and his warmth was intoxicating. Reece stated that he could not resist him, even if he wanted to, and Sage’s heart skipped a beat and his stomach flipped. Now that they were alone, he could ask what had been on his mind since their meeting.

“Were you feeling the same that day? The same as I was? I…I couldn’t stop thinking about you…”

Out on the dance floor when they were alone, Reece felt like the people dancing around them had disappeared and the music and melted into something sweet and intoxicating. A soft melody that could be made their own for this crucial event. By this time the club was slowly starting to fill up. Reece gave a soft sigh but his body tensed a little when he heard Sage's question. Had he felt the same way? Why? How had Sage felt that day anyway? Slowly Reece pulled back and the room hit him with a bang.

He was not alone with Sage and the room was slowly but surely filling up. His eyes caught a wave from a girl who'd become a regular and he shot her a nod and a smile. He took Sage's hands in both of his resting their arms between them.
"Waltz okay? Back with this one. Forward with this one."
He pushed Sage's right arm back and pulled his left arm forward.

"And ...one, two three."
Reece wasn't ignoring the question at all and he hoped that Sage understood. He just felt that if they didn't want attention drawn to them they needed to be moving regardless of the music so Reece lead Sage into a dance using the indications of the hands pulling and pushing so that it would show Sage before hand what he was expected to do with his feet. Finally when they had gotten into a slow easy step Reece smiled down at Sage.

"I can't stop thinking about you either but what exactly did you feel when we met each other that day... I mean exactly..."
Reece smirked playfully a flirtatious twinkle finally in his eyes.

Sage had not even noticed the people that had suddenly filled the club. When he was by Reece’s side, there was that side-effect he got of feeling completely alone with him. There was silence from the brunette after his question, and almost as if brushing it aside, at least for the moment, he took Sage’s hands and began to lead him into a waltz. Sage had fallen into it completely from the start, and with the slow movements and Reece’s teaching, he felt more confident that he could pull this off without stepping on anyone’s feet.

He glanced down at his feet, trying to make sure that he did not step on Reece, and he listened to his directions, attempting to the best of his ability to mirror them.

“Like this?”

Sage looked back to him for further direction, hoping he had done the movements correctly. Despite all the people, he still felt so at peace with Reece, even though there were so many people around them that could judge him for his poor dancing skills. He made it made it simple and effortless, and as they got into a pace that Sage could keep up with, Reece finally responded to the earlier question, only to ask another question. Of course he could not tell him if he was feeling the same if he did not know what the feelings were to begin with, right? Sage nodded in understanding, a bit shy at the flirtatious smirk. He spoke quietly as to try and maintain some of their privacy.

“Well…I couldn’t stop glowing…I still can’t stop…I mean…I glow a lot, but I’ve never felt my ability flare so uncontrollably when I’m around you…and I wanted to sit next to you at the restaurant, not across…I just wanted to be closer…and to know you…”

Sage glanced up at Reece and his lovely smile, hoping the words had made sense to him.

Reece nodded when Sage sought encouragement from him concerning the dance moves he was preforming.
"Yes, exactly like that. You're a natural Sage."
Reece gave Sage all the encouragement the young man needed to want to dance. Sage seemed to rather enjoy dancing which was a plus on both their lists really. Reece really needed a dance partner.

Reece needed someone to love his passions as much as he did which was probably why he'd thought he and Emmanuelle would make a lovely couple. But now... Now there was Sage and Sage's feelings towards him. Sage who'd come to him and tried hard to express his own feelings and asked Reece to the ball. Manny had a long time and he expected her time to be up now the moment Sage had asked. Sage was bubbling words again and it was ever so cute. Cute enough for Reece's eyebrows to pull together in adoration at the boy.

Reece slowly slid his arm around Sage's waist and pulled the boy's body against his as he took the possition of a proper waltz. More so that he could whisper into the boy's ear.
"You know the expression butterflies in the stomach? Well, mine come out quite literally when I become nervous or excited about something. "
Reece slowly twirled them making sure Sage could keep up with his steps. He brought his lips closer to Sage.

His secret to give to Sage since Sage had offered him Sage's.
"That's how you know my stomach's flipping or my breath was taken away. I get the butterflies..."
Reece pulled his lips into a slow smile against Sage's ear as they danced. He'd dance the night away with Sage if he could.

Sage was very happy that Reece of all people approved his dancing. It was only because of him that he could do this without falling on his face, and even if he did, he had confidence that Reece would be there to catch him.

“This is unusual for me…usually I trip on my own feet or step on someone else’s…”

He really was enjoying himself. Sage normally didn’t like dancing due to the consequences they normally had for him, but dancing with Reece was putting him in such a blissful state. The boy was loving every moment of it, and it only got better when the brunette’s arm wrapped around his waist. Their bodies were now even closer, and his stomach flipped again as the brunette whispered in his ear. Butterflies, huh? So that’s what it was? Sage blushed and almost appeared dazed as they twirled around.

“I’ve got butterflies again…”

The flustered boy buried his face into Reece’s shoulder, as if to try and hide his red face, and he inhaled the dancer’s scent, sighing out softly as he completely melted before him.

Reece bit into his bottom lip for a moment as Sage's body melted into his own. He felt the younger boy bury his face in his neck and was very much aware of Sage's breath on his skin. Take it slow, Reece reminded himself. To keep them both from getting hurt he'd let Sage point out the boundaries. Right now it seemed okay to hold Sage close so that was what he would do. Hold the emerald eyed boy close. He smiled at the words Sage spoke and let his eyes drift shut. Who cared that in the back ground an upbeat hip hop song was playing.

Reece hardly heard it as they waltzed in time to their own heartbeats, getting a feel for each other and how their bodies moved in perfect harmony. It was a perfect moment and Reece didn't want it to end. It was like they were dancing on air really. Reece gave a little laugh when he heard Sage's comment about having butterflies and stroked along his back a little keeping the other hand he held gently held out to their sides in the proper way of a waltz.

"I hope you get butterflies all the time Sage. It feels good when you do."
He whispered again into Sage's hair this time instead making sure he played by Sage's rules. Sage's rules counted. Sage was the one to draw in the sand and so far it had worked out. Sage had come here. Reece had held back from going in search of Sage and that had been very very hard to do indeed.

Sage did not hear the the music or see the people around them. It was just the two if them dancing to their own perfect song in a perfect place. No worries crossed his mind at all, and he was at true peace with himself for the first time in years. Not even his archery could calm him this much. Sage almost wondered if he would fall asleep in Reece's arms like this, his face buried in his shoulder like a pillow.

Reece stroked his hand along the boy's back, eliciting a shiver from him, and he looked up to him with such awe. When he spoke, it left him breathless again to the point where he had to remember to breathe. Those butterflies were really liking him today, huh?

"I like it...dancing with you is...the best thing ever..."

It was really the only way to explain it. He didn't know how else to.

"Why didn't we meet sooner? We could've been dancing like this a long time ago..."

Reece smiled as he gave Sage what the boy seemed to be needing. A pair of strong arms to guide him into a romantic waltz, which had a few of his locals staring. Outside of the bubble he was in with Sage, he could feel the eyes on them. He could feel the staring and it made his stomach twist delightfully. The idea of having someone stare at him for doing something unusual. Reece liked being unusual. Reece liked being unique. Reece was all for being special and having someone equally special.

Reece slowly twirled the two of them in a slow two step, listening to Sage's whispered words. Oh God. Why was this so right when it felt so very wrong? How could something feel both right and wrong. He was twenty six nearly and the boy in his arms? Barely seventeen Reece judged. He had to keep his feelings at bay. He was an expert at doing that. Reece had to throw in some hints to Sage and get him comfortable as well. He needed to keep a good head on his shoulders.

Reece could NOT hurt two people at once. Even being with eighteen year old Manny was slightly on the odd side for Reece who was at least seven years older. Come on. Craddle snatcher or what?! Reece listened to Sage's words and half smiled ignoring the familiar and pleasant turn of his stomach.
"Because, Dearest Sage, I'd risk getting thrown in Jail sooner. Not that I mind the risk at all, in the slightest bit."

Reece half purred into the blonde boy's hair closing his eyes in hope that Sage would not flip out about anything he'd said to go extreme.

Sage danced blissfully with Reece, not minding the attention given to them by the other people in the club. Reece’s dancing skills were more than enough to compensate for his two left feet, and with him by his side, there could only be awe in their direction. The two of them spun and twirled until he almost felt dizzy, and Sage blushed a bit in embarrassment at the brunette’s words. It was true after all, that meeting sooner would have been more problematic. Perhaps them meeting now when he was of legal age was fate after all at work.

“Well…I’m glad that my age isn’t too much of an issue…since you won’t go to jail”

He laughed and shivered as Reece spoke into his hair, and he tucked his head more underneath the dancer’s chin, enjoying how safe it felt to be like this.

“I feel so rude…I came in here and did not even introduce myself to your friends…got so lost in you that I forgot my manners…would you introduce me, Reece?”

Oh but Sage's Age was an issue for Reece. It was scratching at the back of his mind creating a real itch for him and he was trying very very hard to fight against it or simply dismiss it. Reece could hardly dismiss it. Sage was the age of his two sisters and how would Becca react to Sage? Reece was quite worried about it. From the very first day that he'd met Sage, he'd felt uncertain about this whole thing but Sage had a way of making that uncertainty flutter away like the butterflies that so often came when the glowing boy was around him.

Reece shook his head at Sage's next words and let his eyes flutter shut allowing himself to get lost in the feeling of holding Sage close to him. Not now, he didn't want to have to introduce Sage now and yet, it was time to hand over the string to someone else. He would NOT be controlling with Sage. He sighed softly.
"As you wish... I'll introduce you Sage. I'd be proud to introduce you. As what am I introducing you though?"

Reece kept his eyes closed holding the younger male against his chest so tenderly and closely.
"Take the lead Sage."
Reece whispered again. He knew now that he'd made a mistake with Aracelli and then again with Emmanuelle. He needed to not be making any more mistakes.
