"Holy shit. Seriously? Like, for real?" Max stared at the crowd of students. Several had already gathered here. Sure, the room wasn't completely filled to overflowing or anything, yet, but there were actually people present there. Real people. Not just Max and her little group of nerds. It occurred to her that she probably should have come forward and admitted to this being her idea. Because there was no way that some of the people here would ever have signed on if they knew that Max was the one who'd thought everything up.
She'd made certain to reserve a room, or, more like burst in and kind of declared her territory, sort of. Or something. It seemed like a good idea at the time, okay? Which kind of summed up this idea in its entirety.
Right now, Max had on her superhero outfit: tight leather pants, matching shirt, and a loose jacket with red fringe. She'd bought the material herself, and more or less bribed a few people she knew to get things together. So, yeah, it was a bit X-Men, but she was damned if she was wearing spandex (plus, that was, like, her Halloween outfit). She'd made certain to show a bit of skin though, particularly on her stomach and along her arms. Mostly because of her power. Totally not just because she wanted the attention.
"Uhhhh," she said. How exactly did you start a meeting for a superhero group again? Were they even ready to get started? Max looked at the clock. A little early yet. So, yeah, not quite. Which meant some more waiting. Or should Max be smooshing. No, wait, she needed to hide and show up at the right time. That's what the real leaders of these things did.
So Max sought out the bar, figuring that would be as good a place to hide as any. Sure, getting back there might be a bit against the rules, and probably not exactly a superhero thing (Max had at least admitted that most of the heroes would be under twenty-one, so give her some credit). So, yeah, she moved back there and sat down, adjusting. Yeah, this would totally work. Let them mingle and wonder what the hell they were doing here.
This was totally, 100% awesome.
