The boys were proud to say they were outside, reading. Reading. Also, outside. Reading and outside! It was lovely. The sun was shining, they'd eaten delicious sandwiches for lunch, there was a nice breeze and they were sitting under a nice tree. Well, Gabriel was. Uriel had chosen to climb the tree, and was laying on one of the lower branches, right above Gabriel, who had warned him, 'if you fall on me, I'll kill you.' In the most stern tone he could muster to his twin.
Which wasn't exactly very stern. At all.
But they were reading, Gabriel some book on biology, and Uriel, a book detailing certain aspects of the arts that were usually unstudied, as they were dull. To most people.
Both books from the library, naturally, as they actually hadn't brought many books with them from home (since home was so close). Gabriel wore plaid shorts and a simple white t-shirt, Uriel in solid navy pants and another simple white tee. There were their two sets of flip-flops on the grass next to Gabriel, as both boys would rather be barefoot.
"D'you think..d'you think anyone who did biology did it for the wrong reasons?" Uriel flopped his book on his chest, and rose an eyebrow. He would've asked, 'how so,' but he already knew. "I guess. It seems very plausible. Like how a lot of artists were just angry and messing around, never even wanting to be artists." He said, sort of glancing down to his twin though not really, not wanting to fall onto poor Gabriel.
"Makes you wonder what they were like growing up.." He said, laughing. Uriel chuckled with him. "Ohh, goodness, I can only imagine!" He laughed with Gabriel, before both sighed, then going back to reading. Uriel carefully sat up, glancing around, before laying back down. He accidentally shook plenty of leaves onto Gabriel, who merely sighed and brushed them away.
"Not a lot of people out today.." Gabriel finished the sentiment. "Well, plenty of people. Just maybe not as many as usual.." He trailed off, also glancing around. Once again, it was back to their books, a unusually drab day in their lives, but at least they were happy to be reading their own well-loved materials.
