Cold weather is cold... (Tag Cuppy)

Madison had no idea what possessed her to go and sit out in the cold but there she was walking across the snow covered ground shivering under her winter coat. Snow was so pretty from her window and looked like fun to play in, okay she was wrong she will be the first one to admit it but she was to stubborn to go back in after taking the time to layer up.

She finally made it to the court yard and pushed some snow off a bench she sat down yelping at her rear now being cold. She sighed after a moment blushing and looking around. it wasn't presently snowing, that much she could be grateful for. She sighed after a moment running her fingers threw her hair yawning softly.

After a moment she pulled out the book she had brought to start to read and started. She needed to finish the book for a book report. She was not necessarily a book worm but she enjoyed a good book, and it distracted her form how cold she was.

It was before noon and Brendan was awake. He was never particularly thrilled when that happened. But such is the life of a teacher. That being said, a nice hot thermos of coffee was with him. As he drank from the little cup the usually came on top, he clung to the thermos itself because it was heating up the rest of his body. And especially with weather like this, he was incredibly grateful for it.

The cold was one thing that he could live without. He loved it. The snow and how it makes everything beautiful and somehow silent. But, and there was always a ‘but’ for anything he loved, the harsh temperatures, the feeling your face become chapped, thinking face might fall off because it’s so flippin’ cold out… Those were things he could live without. Then again, he might not be so cold if he’d wear an actual winter jacket instead of just a sweater and blazer. ‘But it doesn’t go with my outfit’ was always his argument.

He was a few feet from the courtyard when he heard a yelp. It didn’t sound as if somebody was actually in trouble. But there were two reasons he checked anyway. One, he’d feel awful if somebody were in trouble and he did nothing. Two, and probably more importantly, how awesome would he be for saving somebody? He’d be like the hero of the school. Maybe even the town.

But after hurrying there, he saw nothing. Nothing but a girl reading. How… weird. And that was Brendan thinking that, so it really must be true. Without the slightest hesitation, he strode over to the young girl, stopping directly in front. “Aren’t you cold?” He asked, taking a sip of his coffee as steam rolled off it.
