Matt woke up with a bang. He wasn't sure what was going on but his ears hurt really badly. The noise made him scramble down to the kitchen where his mom was sitting picking up the fry pan. out of breath and looking worn he spoke quickly and quietly. "What happened?" Instead of replying to him she just looked at him weirdly and picked up the pan. Silently she sent him back up to his room and told him to get dressed. Matt just shook his head That sound hurt.

Since he was up for the day he decided he should visit Dani. Maybe she would know what was going on. Matt knew something was going on. It felt like a thousand noises were building up and everything was extremely loud. He decided he should go as soon as possible. He got dressed quickly and made his way towards Hammel. It was a seemingly long drive and it was something that was just not right. There was something wrong.

Matt got to the school in record time, his car parked into the visitors parking. Signing in he waved to the receptionist as they already knew him. Walking through the courtyard Matt began to feel funny. He felt as if something was building up. Something was coming. Pausing he almost jumped when something loud happened. Something very loud. it just sort f came from him. His skin was tingling, every pore of his flesh vibrating. It just... felt weird. What was going on? Matt had to cover his ears from the sound that was coming from him. Too loud. Too loud. It was as if his whole entire body was screaming. There was no control and Matt hadn't a clue just what was happening.

Finally it stopped and Matt slumped down, his body tired and worn out. What the hell had happened?

[D]A[N]I[C]C!?

Dani was making her way through the school grounds on the way to her dorm (god, things smelled weird today) when she heard it. It was like a scream, and a bang, and just plain noise, all rolling together and screeching out from its source. To be honest, Dani wasn't even going to investigate to see if anyone needed help--Hammel tends to have plenty of people around that can help with power issues, which is what this sounded like--but she sensed something... Off. Bad. Not right. She was set to a near panic by that sound, and sprinted to see the source.

And screeched to a halt when she got there.

For a second she stared, then she rushed to her brother's side, latching onto his arm and staring worriedly at him. "Matt? Matty, what happened? Who did this to you?" Not that she knew what someone did, but it was scary seeing Matt so worn down. This could only be the work of someone else, and she was about to find out who and make their lives a living hell, because no way Matty had done this himself. One, he's not powered and he's way too old for anything to be manifesting. Two, he smelled panicked--

Wait.

He smelled panicked? How the hell does she know that he smells--and why had her voice been normal all day? This was just occurring to her, the fact that with everything going on all day, with people's powers being different and the school being in chaos, she hadn't felt her power there, ready to be unleashed from her throat in some way. She opened her mouth, testing her voice. Nothing. That was freaky because her power always acted up when she was scaredworried. Whatever was happening today was messing with her. Worse, it was messing with her Matty. Nobody messes with her Matty.

Matt was literally shaking. His body was almost as if it was going into shock. He didn't know what he was doing or what the hell had just happened. He wrapped his arms around himself, his whole skin feeling tingly and as if it was going to explode at any given moment. He really just wanted to curl into a ball. His mind was going into shock from his racing thoughts. What was that? Why was it so loud? What happened? What was going on? It was so loud! It came from me? Matt whimpered in that thought and shivered again. Whatever happened he did not like it.

Matt looked up as he heard someone running towards him. He didn't know who but he hoped they would be able to explain what the hell was going on. He didn't have a clue. You would think a 6'7” male crumpled on the ground would be intimidating. If anything he was only pitiful. His eyes held fear and this had shook him. What in the world happened? Matt slowly looked up at the person running towards him

Dani.

Dani would be able to fix this Dani would be able to help. She had to. If she didn't he wouldn't know what to do. He frowned as she was firing questions. No one had done this to him. He had done it. He had done it and he was scared as hell as to how it happened. He should be silent. Instead it was loud, instead it was not full of silence. Everything was loud. Too loud.Slowly starting in the slightest of whispers Matt looked up at his little sister eyes pleading, “ Dani...”

Matt was a bit fearful of his own voice. He did not want that to happen again. What ever that was. Slowly he said in a louder, firmer voice “Dani!” Matt turned her so she was facing him and looked her straight in the eye standing on his two wobbly legs. He didn't know what was happening but at the moment he just needed his little sister to give him a hug.

[D]A[N]I[C]C!?

Dani was relieved that he could talk, but since it took a lot to get Matt to say anything, and he sounded so strained, the relief didn't last for very long. Instead, it turned to worry. Her confusion still had a place in her current attention, but she knew she could figure out that part later--what she needed to do right this very second dear god was take care of Matthew.

While she was in the middle of thinking of everyone she could possibly take Matt to that wasn't probably dealing with someone else already, coming up with the list of absolutely nobody, Matt was trying to stand, and suddenly she was turned to face him. She stared at him with increasing concern, trying to figure out what was happening. Dani was used to dealing with weird Meta incidents. Dani was not used to them being linked directly to Matt. In fact, she'd rather all this stuff just leave Matt alone, bypass him entirely and never think of going anywhere near him.

Obviously, this wasn't how things were meant to happen.

Dani got one of those feelings she did, those little bits of Matt-intuition, and she hugged him while telling him that things would be fine and she'd find some way to make all of this right. She hoped that was at least halfway true.
