The sun was so comfortable and the girl couldn't help it. She felt good, sitting in the sun and letting her darker clothes keep her warm and toasty. She had her hair in a thick braid and set in front so that it was over her shoulder, with a dark brown beanie on her head. It covered her ears, hiding the headphones there. The music she was listening to was something between runner music and just lazy music. It was a mix of Rob Thomas, Jack Johnson, and a few others that made for a just fun list of music. The bench she was at was completely in the sun, just out of reach of the shade. Her feet sort of hung off the edge slightly, and she was comfortable.
Lately she had been chilling, avoiding using her powers at all costs. One reasons she was wearing gloves. She even wore them in class. And while few people asked about them out loud there was the element of curiosity in their thoughts. She was trying to completely ignore her power again, even though she knew it didn't help. Ignoring only made it worse, always made it worse. But still, it was better than using it and causing problems like it usually did. She was right sick of that.
Get the whole thing out of your head. Just listen to the music. So she did. Even though some of the music was angsty it was slower than her runner music for the most part, so she was soon asleep. She didn't snore, or even make noise, and only the slight rise and fall of her chest gave any indication she was still alive. But she looked peaceful, no stress in her face as she enjoyed a nap in the sun.
