Have You Met Amelia? (Lucah)

As Belle held onto Lucah's hand she led him towards her dorm room. As the two walked hand in hand, Belle couldn't help but blush a bit at the feelings she was beginning to feel for the boy holding her hand. Every now and then Belle would glance up to look at the boy that was holding onto her hand. His blue eyes made her smile even more.

What she was feeling in her stomach was like having hundreds of butterflies in her stomach. And her heart was going beating very fast in her chest. She couldn't understand what was going on with her, but she liked it. She liked holding his hand, and she liked the idea of introducing him to Amelia. She also really liked the idea that she was now bringing Lucah into her life, and that he was okay with it.

When they reached her dorm room, Belle smiled and let go of Lucah's hand as she went to open the door. "W-w-welcome!" She giggled, and opened the door welcoming Lucah into her room. Her room basically represented her in every way, it was covered in pictures of birds and different types of insects. There were also pictures of her and her father placed around the room too. And right by the window, in a decent sized bird cage was a beautiful white canary.

After closing the door, Belle walked over to the cage, leaving Lucah by the door, and smiled turning to Lucah when she stood beside the cage. "Th-th-this is Amelia!" She giggled, opening the cage door, and bringing her hand in for Amelia to get on.

When Amelia jumped onto Belle's hand, Belle giggled, and brought Amelia over to Lucah. "Sh-she's my b-b-best friend!" She said smiling, and looking up at Lucah. She wondered what he would think at the idea that her best friend was a bird and not a human being. She wondered if he thought she was weird. A nutcase. A freak. She hoped he wouldn't think of her like that. She knew part of her wanted to be his girlfriend. Kinda. She was a bit too scared to say anything... Or even think about it.

[Lucah Ivaskov]

Lucah held her hand securely in his. He liked the feeling of her warm fingers pressed against his cold hand. It was different, but in a good way. He smiled slightly as they walked. He was developing feelings for Belle and those feelings scared him. He had never really felt like this with any girl before. His father had told him that feelings made one weak. Lucah feared weakness, but he knew his father was wrong. He had to be.

The girls' dormitory was off limits to guys. Well, Lucah was a stickler for the rules usually, but this was different. It wasn't like he was trying to stay, he just came to meet Belle's friend. It wasn't a bad thing. She was excited and he liked seeing this side of her. She was adorable when she was happy...had he just thought that? Nothing to an Ivaskov was 'adorable.' This girl really was changing him.

Lucah looked down at Belle as she opened the door to her room. He looked around. It screamed Belle. Birds, insects, the whole thing. He saw the pictures of her and her father and he felt a stab of envy deep in his chest. He shook the feeling off when he saw the beautiful white canary in the bird cage. He smiled.

"She's beautiful. A very nice looking bird," He said with a wider smile. Birds were one of Lucah's favorite animals. His sister had a raven that she adored. The bird liked Lucah too so it was a mutual feeling.

Lucah was surprised at just how much they had in common. It was even scarier than what he was feeling. His mind was yelling for him to stop, but he couldn't. This was one thing he couldn't push back. No matter how hard he tried.

[Belle Harrington]

Belle smiled as she watched Amelia fly off of her finger and around the room before she landed on Lucah's shoulder.

"She's beautiful. A very nice looking bird," Belle heard Lucah say, his smile growing larger. Belle wrapped her arms around Lucah's one arm and giggled, "She's a white canary!" Smiling Belle looked up at Lucah and blushed softly.

"You should hear her singing, it's absolutely beautiful," Belle said mostly talking to herself, remembering her own mother's voice. She loved listening to Amelia sing because it reminded her so much of her own mother's singing. Belle rested her head on Lucah's arm, and sighed softly.

Quietly, as if she knew on cue, Amelia began to sing to Lucah.

Belle was so happy, holding onto Lucah, and listening to Amelia's singing, nothing could have made her happier in this moment.

[Lucah Ivaskov]

Lucah looked at the bird as it sat on his shoulder. It really was a beautiful canary. He had seen few in his time in America, but this one blew the others away. It was purely white, like snow, unlike others that looked like dirty snow.

Once Belle took a hold of his arm, Lucah's heart skipped a beat once. That had never happened before. Weird. He smiled down at her her excitement was intoxicating. She really was beautiful. Sure, most Romanian men went for dark hair, dark eyes, but not Lucah. Belle's hair reminded him of wheat fields and the way the swayed in the wind. Her eyes were so unique. They changed with the lighting, sometimes a deep sage green and others a beautiful hazel with different colored specks. In this light they were that sage green that reminded him of the trees back in Romania. And then there was her voice. So timid at times and yet so happy. He loved the sound of her voice, it was like a complicated piano piece with a mixture of the soothing melodies and soft harmonies.

He wasn't really thinking when he acted. When she rested her head on his arm, he automatically put his arm around her and pressed his lips to her forehead. Why? Well the opportunity presented itself. Then Amelia started singing and it was like in a cheesy romance movie. Despite the cheesiness of it all...Lucah was happy. It was a happiness he had never felt before, but one that he didn't mind either.

Belle stood there happily listening to Amelia's song, her head resting on Lucah's arm. She felt his arm wrap around her, and before she could even think his lips were on her forehead. Had he just kissed her? Belle thought to herself, her body suddenly turning rigid. She didn't know what to do, the last time someone had touched her like that, had absolutely terrified her.

Standing there, it was like it all flashed back to her again. Her mind was back to the day when her powers manifested. The day when she was attacked by Eric and his friends. The day she had almost been raped, ran through her mind. She really didn't want to freak out. She didn't want to scare Lucah away. But she panicked. She pulled away from his arms, and stood in front of him. Her eyes wide in fear.

Starring at Lucah now, Belle's eyes began to water a bit, Amelia's singing immediately ended, and she flew off of Lucah's shoulder. "I-I-I'm so sorry..." She whimpered. "I'm s-s-so sorry..." A loose tear running down her cheek, and she quickly wiped it away.

Frowning now, Belle stood there and began to tell Lucah the story. About how she was ruthlessly picked on growing up for being different. About Eric, and how the bullying got worse when he moved to her school. And then finally of the day when Eric and his friends tried raping her on her walk home, and how her powers manifested that day to save her.

Finishing the story, Belle shrugged and wiped the tears away from her face, "I'm s-s-sorry..." She sighed, and turned away from him, towards Amelia. She felt that Lucah would turn away and run, that she was damaged goods. That he probably didn't want to be with someone who would freak out from just a simple kiss on the forehead. But either than her father, she had never been touched so gently before.

Lucah hadn't meant any harm by any means when he touched her. When she went rigid, he thought he had done something wrong. He had never gotten so close to anyone before, not emotionally at least. Hurt was clear on his face when she pulled away from him. He didn't understand what he had done to make her so panicked. He kept his eyes on her and put his hands in his pockets. He tried to push back the emotions and replace them with an expressionless look.

It was extremely difficult to be expressionless when she kept apologizing and tears filled her eyes. Lucah was confused. If he had done something wrong, why was she apologizing? He wanted to comfort her, but he kept his distance as she began talking. So it wasn't that he had done something wrong, it was from an experience she had gone through.

As Luc listened to the story, his hands tightened into fists and his expression darkened. Someone hurt her for being different. Someone had touched her without consent. It made sense now why she had been so terrified when he touched her. The boy in that story was dead to Lucah. How dare an imbecile like that boy lay a hand on her in anyway. Lucah was furious, but he pushed back the fury and filled himself with sympathy and comforting.

He stepped closer once she turned from him and took her hand cautiously. Lucah didn't want to scare her again, so he moved very slowly with all the carefulness he could manage. "Belle, I'm so sorry that happened to you. I want you to know that I would never ever hurt you like that." He said softly as he turned her around slowly. "We'll take it slow, I'll only go as far as you ask me to. If I ever over-step my boundaries, smack me or something." He said in a serious and yet gentle tone.

Belle felt Lucah take her hand, and her heart skipped a beat. He didn't run away. He stopped her from running away.

With her back to him still Belle listened to what he had to say, "Belle, I'm so sorry that happened to you. I want you to know that I would never ever hurt you like that." Lucah spoke softly to her, and slowly turned her around to face her. "We'll take it slow, I'll only go as far as you ask me to. If I ever over-step my boundaries, smack me or something." And with that Belle smiled softly.

"Th-thank you..." She whispered, before moving closer to him, and gently pressing her head against his chest, her hand still holding onto his.

She looked up at him and smiled softly, "Thank you... You're so great to me..." She spoke quietly, not noticing that her stuttering was gone.

Lucah smiled when she did. He was glad his words had comforted her, he wasn't the best at it. He squeezed her fingers lightly when she rested her head on his chest. His heart accelerated and his breathing hitched slightly.

Only she could have an affect on him like that. He looked down at her and smiled wider when he heard her speak without stuttering. Luc brushed his finger tips across her cheek barely touching her skin. This was how it should be. This was what he had been looking for.

"There's no need to thank me Belle, I'm here. Always." He nodded sternly and again, carefully and cautiously, he wrapped his free arm around her and held her close to him. He was changing. His heart warming, his expressions softening. She had made him a better man, and his father couldn't take that away from him ever again.

Belle smiled happily at Lucah, and sighed softly when his finger tips brushed against her cheek. She wanted to gently rub her face into his hand, and sigh happily. She wanted to take in his touch. His smell, his voice. Everything. Could it be that she had found someone so perfect all in one package? It was almost too good to be true, and Belle was scared. Absolutely terrified of what she was feeling for this boy. But she was happy in this moment, and that was all that mattered to her.

"There's no need to thank me Belle, I'm here. Always." Belle heard him say, and she smiled softly and his kindness. That's when she felt him wrap his free arm around her and brought her closer to him. Immediately, Belle brought her hands up onto his chest, and she rested her head onto his chest, and let out a soft sigh.

"Thank you Lucah..." She sighed, speaking into his chest, "I really do like you a lot..." She giggled, and blushed into him.

Lucah was falling. Fast. It scared him more than anything else did. He didn't want to mess it up, but he was his father's son. The thought that he'd turn out like his father terrified him. Belle would hate him if he did. If she hated him...he'd have no one. He wondered if she was scared. She had been through a lot just as he had. She was so timid, and yet she trusted him enough to open up to him. Lucah had noticed he had done the same. He actually trusted her and opened up to her and let himself feel. She had to be different.

Lucah wrapped his other arm around her and rested his cheek on the top of her head. For now, he would be happy. He would be content. And he wouldn't over think. If he did, he was screwed. Lucah just smiled and hugged her. The way she fit so perfectly in his arms made it seem that much better. This had to work.

"You're welcome Belle," He answered softly muttering into her hair. "I like you a lot too." He chuckled lightly and sighed in content.

[Belle Harrington]

Belle smiled when Lucah expressed his feelings for her and they were the same. Smiling now, she pulled away from Lucah, and took his hand bringing him over to the bed.

Sitting down, Belle patted the spot on the bed next to her, "T-tell me about yourself Lucah!" She giggled happily. She wanted to know so much about. She wanted to know everything about him. She wanted to be apart of his life, she wanted to be with him. She was happy just sitting her with him.

"Your favorite color?"
"Your favorite animal?"
"Your favorite movie?"
"Your favorite song?"

Belle fired out the questions quickly and Lucah, just wanting to soak up everything that was him.

Lucah followed her to the bed and sat down beside her. He ran a hand through his hair and rubbed the back of his neck. What to say? He wanted to share everything with her, but he didn't want to scare her away with his intensity either. He had done that before. He enjoyed being with her though, the questions didn't matter when he was with her.

Once she started firing off questions, Lucah raised an eyebrow. So many questions at once, it was a lot to take in. He was happy she was comfortable enough to really talk to him though. "Slow down Belle," He chuckled lightly.

"Alright, favorite color is dark blue. Favorite animal, bird, specifically the raven. Not that I have anything against canaries," He added quickly looking at Amelia with a smile. "Movie...well in America I saw one called the Hangover which was hilarious. Song, Claire de la Lune by Debussy." He answered with a nod. "Now it's your turn. All of those questions."

He brushed a strand of hair away from her face and watched her as he waited for her response.

Belle sat there and blushed when Lucah told her to slow down, she had gotten carried away in her excitement, and giggled softly.

Listening quietly, Belle nodded when Lucah answered each of her questions. The two of them had so much in common! It was outrageous!

"Alright, favorite color is dark blue. Favorite animal, bird, specifically the raven. Not that I have anything against canaries," He added quickly looking at Amelia with a smile. "Movie...well in America I saw one called the Hangover which was hilarious. Song, Claire de la Lune by Debussy. Now it's your turn. All of those questions."

Belle giggled and blushed when Lucah brushed a strand of hair away from her face, and she quietly thought to herself.

"M-my favorite color is light green. Like grass. And my favorite animal are birds as well, especially the California Condor!" Belle giggled at Amelia, "But I still love you!" She smiled waving at Amelia, and then turning back to Lucah, "Hmm... My favorite movie would have to be Beauty and the Beast, which was my mother's favorite movie too..." Belle sighed, thinking to herself some more, "And my favorite song would have to be Debussy's Claire de Lune... Would have to be m-my favorite song too!" She smiled happily.

"W-w-we have so much in common..." Belle said softly, and red blush on her face, and she timidly looked over at Lucah. She then realized how much she liked this boy, and how hard and fast she was falling for him.

[Lucah Ivaskov]

Lucah smiled at her and listened. Green was a pretty color, but he preferred the color of her eyes to grass any day of the week. Bird as a favorite animal was a given, California Condor he had seen once and it was a pretty bird. Beauty and the Beast, that's what she was named after obviously. Good movie for girls and little children, Jez would probably like it a lot. Note to self, invite Belle over to watch Beauty and the Beast with Jezebel, Lucah thought to himself. Claire de Lune. Same song. Weird.

It was crazy how much in common they had. The thing with their mothers, fondness of birds, fondness of the outdoors, same song...it was all just unreal. It made him smile brighter. She was perfect.

"Yeah who'd have thought?" He said quietly. Lucah couldn't believe how sappy he was being. This was not the way Lucah usually acted. Ever. Damn this girl was good. She managed to change a stone into warm, gooey chocolate. What was a better way to describe that? He was chocolate, sweet, sappy, gooey and delicious. (Drool.)

Belle smiled and moved a little bit closer to Lucah, gently cuddling onto him and giggled. "So what is your ambition in life, Lucah...?" She asked quietly, twirling her hair nervously around her fingers.

"Favorite food?"

"Oh!" Belle giggled thinking out loud to herself, "Describe yourself in 3 words!" She asked happily, looking up at Lucah. She wanted to know everything she could about Lucah.
