Best part about Christmas? Everyone was on break. She hadn't had much interaction with her roomates... but then again, Jayden wasn't the type who interacted with a lot of people anyway. She was the quiet, qirky, grease-monkey-ish one. Not exactly someone people were clamoring for attention from.
She'd gotten her present from Niles in the mail. A brand-spanking new Nvidia GeForce GTX 590. She looked at it like a little kid opening up the most wonderful toy imaginable on Christmas day. She was practically squealing. Yes, squealing with delight.
"Alright, time to install this bad boy," she said, looking at her computer, woefully lacking the awesomeness of the new graphics card. she sighed and opened her drawer, letting out an audible grunt. "Damn... damndamndamn... do not tell me I forgot it... please oh please oh... for the love of Tsiolkovsky..." She ran her fingers through her hair. Her antistatic wristband was gone. and without it, she risked major damage to her computer while installing the card.
Unless....
She looked around, making sure there was no one around. Which was pretty obvious. There was another way to ensure her system's safety. The clothing was the main carrier of dangerous static charges. Remove them... and the danger was significantly reduced. "Oh well, my roommates probably think I'm nuts already," she said, peeling ovv her tank top and jeans. Once the others were gone, she unplugged her tower and screwed it open. The sooner this was done, the sooner she could get dressed...
