Enter, a girl with too much luggage (Open)

Ara parked her rolling bag (red leopard print) to one side of the door that, if she could find her keys, let in to room 301, and let the two bags (one red duffle, one studded black faux-leather purse) she held in her right hand drop, while she juggled the shoulder bag (red plaid, messenger-style) that had been threatening to slip down her arm for most of the trip. Her shoulders ached, her arms ached, she'd twisted her wrist slightly and she honestly never wanted to see a bag of any sort again.
"Ugh," Ara muttered, her hands searching her pockets quickly, "If I managed to drop the damn key somehow..." She left the thought unfinished. The last thing she wanted to do was have the first impression her new roomies have of her be one of a helpless, hapless idiot who couldn't manage to get from the office to her room without misplacing her key. But after dumping out half the contents of her purse onto the hall-way floor, she had to admit that she seemed to have failed pretty epically so far.
She stuffed everything back into her purse, squared her shoulders, and took a deep breath. I'm not a total failure. This whole weird thing is going to be amazing and cool. I'm on the other side of the world, well, ok, continent, from my parents. No one is yelling at me... yet... and everyone has been nice so far. Just knock on the door, hope someone is inside in the middle of the day, and try not to look as flustered and hopeless as you are. Right.
She knocked, wincing a little at how loud it sounded in the empty hall-way.
