Disaster. Izzy took Zac's bait and now the Korean boy was vomiting words against pretty much everybody in sight, to what Rhett couldn't really do, or wanted to do, anything about it, so he just shifted his eyes as everyone took their turn talking, making sure that LaRousse's arm didn't last more than a second around his shoulders.
Adrianna was doing a pretty good job defending herself for Talen's comment, which had also annoyed Rhett, but not near enough to make him snap the way it made Adrianna go a little crazy. He almost felt bad for her. It was her party, and her birthday, even if she was not totally admitting it, and there was Zac making everyone's life a little bit harder. Not like Rhett was, from time to time, in the Korean's position, he's not boy scout particularly, but heck, even if at the moment he couldn't quite figure out what, he just kept thinking that big differences set them apart.
The problem now was, what to do? The thing seemed like a battle, and taking sides looked like a natural thing to do, but which side? He was not in the mood to defend Adrianna and Izzy, warning Izzy had been his good act of the day and he wasn't planning on doing more, plus he didn't want Adrianna and Izzy to actually think he was their friend. Yet, siding with Zac just seemed as crazy as the former idea, not because he didn't want the other two hating him, he couldn't care less, but because what little ego Rhett had, wouldn't let him side with who had become a quite interesting... rival? The third option, the neutral one, seemed like the best one though, after all, coming to this "party" had probably been a bad idea even if Adrianna had, rather sarcastically, said that she was happy to see him, perhaps the best idea was to leave.
Decisions, decisions... Rhett sighed as he continue his Pepsi.
"I know where they are now too." He told the Asian boy from behind his Pepsi.
Had he just sided with Adrianna and Izzy? Was subtlety alluding his leverage against Zac, and affirming that he knows Zac moved them somewhere else, was actually going to be enough for him to acknowledge he was going to lose this fight if he continued it? Why am I fighting anyway? He decided to conclude it was not a matter of the defending the other two, but a matter of stepping over Zac once again. Right?
