Early afternoon was the best time of day, in Christina's opinion. Photos came out the best at this time, it was warm, and the light poured into her room through the window. She'd walked in from her photo adventure in the woods to review her photos in the comfort of her own room. As she sat lazily on her bed, she listened to the laughter and conversation through the window beside her. There was no better feeling to her than going through photos she'd taken and deleting them until she got to the one that was deemed good enough to keep. Usually there was only one of those out of forty, but when she got to it, Christina could not be happier. Legs crossed, laying on her back comfortably, the small girl deleted picture after picture. When she finally got to one of a bird with baby birds in the nest, she smiled at how well it came out. Surprised about it, as well, for she'd taken that one for fun and not for the photography aspect of it. Her father had always told her that was how the best pictures came about. Perhaps he was right.
When all the pictures had been looked through and cleared out, the camera was set on the bookshelf behind her. The day was going slowly and the tiny blonde needed something to occupy herself before she died of boredom. It wasn't like her to not have an idea about what to do with her time... Christina jumped up with an idea. After a quick check on her hair in the mirror to make sure she hadn't messed it up after laying on it for so long, she stepped quietly out of the room. Her friend, Avi, could always be counted on to provide amusement of some sort. Though they didn't always get along, the girls were good friends and never turned down company of each other.
Christina walked through the hall of co-ed dorms, where her own room and Avi's room were located. Most parents might have a problem with their children sleeping in a room with the opposite gender away from home, but her dad trusted her and her mom didn't have to know. She wasn't sure why other parents didn't have a problem with it, but she wasn't going to argue. Generally, Christina got along better with guys than girls, so as long as she wasn't in a room full of females, she didn't care what the reason was. Somehow drama was always started when the small blonde got into a group of girls, so it was avoided whenever humanly possible.
At Avi's door, she stopped and bit her lip, hoping her friend was inside and she wouldn't be stuck talking to one of the roommates. That was a quite embarrassing situation to be in that had happened a few times to her before. Christina lifted her hand quickly and knocked briefly. She called out, "Avi? Are you there?" before she started to tap her foot, already impatient. It had always been in her nature to be impatient - ever since she was about three years old. Taking even a few seconds could make the girl sigh in frustration and tap her toes. Bad habit, but she didn't exactly care if people knew that she hated waiting for anything.
