Continued from The New Student…is Bored (open)

“Yeah, it would, but hey, it’s something fun,” Andi replied as they walked out of the courtyard towards the main offices. She kept her pace with the young boy’s so that he didn’t feel like he was being left behind. She held the door open for him, letting him walk ahead as she smiled at the secretary behind the desk. “Hello, Mrs. Johnson.”

The woman looked up and smiled. “Hello, Andi,” she greeted, looking between the brunette and the redhead. She chuckled a little. “Adopting a baby bird, Andi? Didn’t think you were the type.”

“You know me, I’m such a superhero for saving the less fortunate,” Andi retorted with a grin, leaning against the desk. “So does Chris have a room or not?”

“He most certainly does,” the woman said, smiling at the redhead as she handed him his papers and key. “You’re in the co-ed dorms, room 204. Enjoy your stay here.”

“All right, you’re my next door neighbor!” Andi said with a grin as she noticed Chris’s stuff and grabbed a couple bags. “Lead the way, and we can go get you moved in!”

Chris laughed at the thought and shook his head. He could totally picture Andi sneaking through the night like a ninja and doing something daring like climbing the walls to the boys' dorms and sneaking through a window...something like that. It sounded like the sort of thing she'd do. "Ever get caught doing that?" he asked curiously. He wasn't about to try to get away with any mischief until he had some idea of how tight the security around the school was. Once he knew how closely everyone was watched, then maybe he could pull the odd prank or sneak out or something like that.

Still, he'd be really surprised if they WEREN'T watched very carefully. After all, having a bunch of superpowered teenagers in the same building complex was pretty much asking for trouble and, while he liked mischief, he didn't like getting in trouble so he'd be careful for the moment.

They entered the dorms and Chris twitched slightly and huffed, folding his arms at the woman who called him a 'baby bird'. "I'm not a baby and I'm not a bird," he grumbled out loud, but otherwise didn't say anything. He was in a pretty good mood now that he'd met Andi so he wasn't going to cause too much trouble. Still, he was getting edgy, hopping about unconsciously from one foot to the other at the thought of seeing his new room. It would probably be small, dorm rooms often were, weren't they? Still, he was curious and this school WAS pretty damn special. Maybe it would surprise him.

"Co-ed dorms, huh?" he asked curiously as he waved goodbye to the woman, his brief irritation with her already forgotten in light of this new information. "So there're guys and girls? That sounds pretty cool." Plus, he got to be next to Andi, so they could hang out pretty regularly, whenever one of them wasn't busy doing something else.
