Great Balls Of Fire...

It had been awhile since Leon had gone out to do much of anything with anyone. He didn't have much of a plan when he grabbed his jacket and walked across the grounds just to go to the student lounge. Of course along the way he had enjoyed a cigarette as much as anyone can enjoy one outside in the winter. He was wearing his black parka and blue jeans and hurrying across the grounds as fast as he could. Before he knew what had happened he found his legs sprawled out in front of him and his bottom finding the rock hard ground. It didn't hurt to much now, but give it a few minutes and there was almost guaranteed to be a sizable bruise on top of the wet spot he had on his pants from the snow.
Muttering under his breath as he scooped himself off the ground he let his cigarette fall and he hobbled the rest of the way to the lounge. Maybe someone would rub it for him, but that would take a lot of luck on his part and so far today wasn't his day. Looking around he saw the pool table was occupied so he decided to wait on the couch for it to open up again. After a few minutes the pair using it left and Leon walked over and began setting up. Today he was going to work on some trick shots and see if he could actually get better at the game. If nothing else he would make it entertaining and set fire to the balls.
After ten minutes and countless attempts he still hadn't managed to sink anything how he'd wanted to without scratching or messing up the set up for his next shot. Sighing he racked them up and got ready to break, pausing long enough to start the cue ball on fire. He wound up and that's when he heard a cough behind him; startling him and causing him to strike the ball about ten times harder than he normally would. The flaming cue ball shot across the room and he ran after it trying to put it out as fast as he could, the only problem was the singe marks all over the carpet and the wall where it had rolled to a stop.
Leon turned around and looked at whoever had coughed. "You! You're gonna help me clean this up, after all it never would have happened had you not scared the shit out of me!" He was a little bit angry but on the edge of laughter as he replayed the scene in his mind. After all it really wasn't that big of a deal, no serious fire had started and it was just his luck, however he was limping around in pain now from the short run. Sadly his injury was catching up fast. Now to deal with that, the mess, and the person who had scared him.
