Power Swap - Contact Drunk {Isaac}

[Max Rose]

"Isaac! There you are!" Max sprang into action, nearly sprinting across the student lounge. A younger student unfortunate enough to be in her way was nearly trampled, and there might have been some harsh words and foot stomping. Not like Max cared; there was a goal.

She was carrying something that looked black and more than a little shapeless in one arm, and grinning from ear to ear. Those that knew Max knew that the grin was never a good thing. Ever. Even if it was a happy grin, it likely meant that Max was about to either do something stupid or ask for something stupid to be done. There was a very thin line there that she just played with at will.

"I haven't seen you around lately! How you been? Good. That's awesome, say," Max was already throwing an arm around Isaac, "I was wondering if you would do a little repair work for me. Nothing major. I just sort of ripped my--dude..."

Because Max was suddenly feeling slightly light headed, as though she'd taken a good toke or just downed one, which was... kinda nice. Though usually she just passed the feeling or stole it, and she really hadn't been... so why was she?

Max wasn't moving yet, mostly because she felt just a little too good to give it a try.

It had taken a little while--and the interaction with Evan he just wanted to forget right now--for Isaac to figure out what the hell was up with his power. Fortunately, he'd seen improved control over his sublimation. Unfortunately, that really wasn't saying much. He'd taken to wearing a pair of gloves around the school, and that mostly helped stop him from touching other students. (And with his habit for wearing costume pieces on any given day helped it look not quite so weird.) That didn't help when his friend put her arm around his shoulders, and her skin touched the back of his neck.

A shiver went down his spine, and despite knowing he was going to have a hangover from using the power, it felt really good. "I'm doing....good. What do you want help with?" He tried to focus on what she was talking about, and shrugged his shoulders, trying to dislodge her arm, but not very hard.

"I kind of...got hit with that thing that's switching powers around." They still didn't know how it worked, or what had caused it, but ultimately Isaac was satisfied. He had better control, and the power was awesome. "So you might want to move your arm." But if she didn't, that would be okay too. At least until the hangover.

"Yeah, I bet you're doing good," replied Max. She didn't let go till Isaac started shrugging, getting the drift. Didn't mean she wasn't going to go poking him later. For one thing, she'd probably have to pass this buzz if she wanted to focus. Actually, doing that seemed like a fun idea to Max, and she was beginning to wonder if she could just loop it with Isaac till they were both drunk.

"So, now you, what? Make people feel all, well," she tapped Isaac, transferring some of the buzz. After all, she didn't realize that Isaac could technically let the power hit both of them. That would require thinking ahead. "Like that? Because that is a lot better than turning into gas or something."

She paused, considering touching him till she was nearly tripping over herself. Probably would have been easier to think if she hadn't kept some of the buzz for herself. Wait, didn't she have something to talk about? Oh, yeah, the thing in her arms.

"Never heard of the power switching thing. But, yeah, got this," she was unfolding her robe. 'It's my Hogwarts robe for the Weasley costume. Got it ripped the other day. Was hoping that you can fix it, eh?"

And of course Max nudged him, which again sent the little pleasant feeling into her. Not that she was complaining much...

"Can ya' tell?" He'd been so careful about not touching people, but now that the senior had been hit with the intoxication again, he was fine with his friend continuing. Even when she dropped her arm, he missed the contact and the constant, low-level tingle that came with it.

"Yeah, I make us feel tingly." She didn't even need to loop it, because as much of the intoxication that she got, he was dosed with as well. Isaac grinned stupidly at her as she transferred some back into him, giving what had to be a triple dose, considering he got another shot when she touched him. Poor guy, no way he was going to last like this. "Bunch of other people got switched too. That's why classes have been so messed up."

His head was foggy, and so it took a moment for him to recognize that she was holding a pretty good replica of a Hogwarts robe. (It took a moment more for him to remember that she'd said that.) "Oooooh, pretty!" He picked up the hem and inspected the tear. It was pretty simple, just along the seam. "You ripped it really good. It won't even need a patch!" The nudge gave him another little shiver, and he was set off giggling. "I can fix it and make you look soooo preeeetty!"

It was only a matter of time before he moved on to the next stage of intoxication and passed out.

"You seem super awesome to me!" said Max, the words coming out much louder than she'd intended. She ended up giggling a little too. This felt so freakin' awesome! What was she doing again? Oh, yeah, the robe thing. Isaac was looking at it, so Max was looking at it. There was much looking.

"Hell yeah I ripped it good," said Max. She nodded and pointed at the tear, "That was from that stupid three headed dog thing. I didn't have my drums around or anything, so we were screwed."

And more giggling. Then Isaac started giggling, and he seemed to be losing it. Not wanting him to hit that whole passing out area, Max touched again. Only instead of feeding him more drunken sensation, she worked to suck it out. The loop of sensation transfer would nearly make them both pass out at this rate, except Max wisely snagged a poor student who just happened to get within touching range. Said poor student got at least half of what Max was feeling.

Max watched as the student tumbled away, knocking another one close.

"Dude, I think we're getting people wiped," said Max. And more giggling, of course. If Max had it her way, she'd see if she could get the entire student lounge reeling.

He rolled his eyes dramatically and held the robe up to her face, tugging the hole a little so the seam unraveled a little more. "I meant you tore it good. It's in the seam, so it's easy to sew back together, because tha's where it's sewed in the first place." His words were starting to slur a bit, the double-whammy of his power and hers hitting him hard.

So it was a good thing when she sucked out some of the sensation, and his mind cleared up significantly. He shook his head to remove any leftover clouds and grinned again at his friend. "Thanks. I think that'll help with the hangover." Spreading out the "drug" among more people would mean everyone got a smaller dose and everyone would be okay, right?

...Maybe his reasoning skills were still a little impaired. Or maybe he just didn't know Max well enough yet.

At her comment, he looked at her poor, stumbling victim as well. "Maybe you shouldn't do that? I don't want to get in trouble." Isaac held up his gloved hand, maybe a bit too close to Max's face. "They're making me wear these so I don't touch people on accident, but I think you doing the touching counts too."

Tore good; easy to repair. Max only paid partial attention to Isaac, more focused on her swirling head and the complete and utter coolness of his powers. Seriously, if she made people drunk by touching them, well, she technically did, which was why she usually tried to stay away from drinking. Often. Ish.

"Should help with a lotta things," said Max. Her smile was turning mischievous now. Most of her own sensation of "drunkeness" had left, handed off to the unfortunate getting close. Wouldn't be long before people figured out more or less what Max was doing though. Better act fast.

Max reached over and tapped Isaac's wrist, pushing aside the fabric to touch at his skin. "So, like, does this mean that if someone touches you anywhere, they get drunk?" Max grinned now, looking a little tipsy, "So, like, here," she touched his neck, "and here," his chin, "and here?"

Her fingers had landed on his lips. So far, she was feeling tipsy again, which made her shake a little. She tried to pull more of the feeling out of Isaac, not wanting to overload him. Dimly she was aware that there could be some side effect to all this. Bit hard to think of that when your head was spinning though.

Max giggled. "Your kisses make me drunk! Duuuuude," the giggling went so heavy that Max bent over backward, then fell backward. Her lashing arm caught someone unfortunate enough to get close. More drunkenness. Max just kept rolling and giggling, letting the light headed feeling swim about in her brain for a while.

Isaac grinned when Max touched his wrist. With his new power, more people had been touching him, but he actually liked it when Max did it. "Yeah! Except..." He shivered again at the touch to his neck. "Yeah, and..." But she touched his chin and lips, and whatever he was about to say went out of his head completely.

She helped some by drawing some of the intoxication out, but he was pretty far gone, now. His big, dopey smile only went wider as he remembered what he'd wanted to say. "It does it to me too, when you touch me. So don't give me more through your power or else I get triple the dose or something." Not that he minded. With Evan it had ended up being awkward, but Max was fun.

"Wait, but I didn't kiss you!" If they weren't enough of a spectacle already, him shouting and her collapsing into giggles would have had everyone's eyes on them anyway. Isaac didn't care though, as he sunk down to the floor and started giggling himself. "Waaaaait." He grabbed for her hand, his gloves stopping them from both getting another dose of intoxication. But that didn't last for long as he pulled her hand to his lips so he could actually kiss her finger. Another shudder, and he dropped her hand and grinned again. "There. Now my kiss made you drunk."

Tactile Intoxication was awesome.

Max's head was spinning, and not in a good way. Too much; they were definitely getting too much here. While Max wasn't entirely sure how this whole power thing worked, she was betting there was something akin to a headache as a result. the last thing she wanted/needed was for either of them to be so hungover that they couldn't function. Plus, wasn't there something else that could happen if you just imbibed too much?

Why couldn't Max think about that?

She started getting even more touchy-feely than she was normally. Considering that normal for Max is touching everyone within arms' length, especially if they happened to be a friend, this meant that she was nearly crawling over poor Isaac. When he kissed her fingers, she giggled.

"Duuuuuudde!" she said, nearly falling over. "You are, like, totally awesome man! How have we not done this before? So awesome, man. So, totally awesome."

Her hands were moving all over him, as if experiencing him for the first time. Gradually the whole staying upright thing proved too much, and Max rolled to the side. In a spinning world, she noticed several shapes moving, most of which looked kinda like people.

"TOUCH ALL THE PEOPLE!" she yelled, hurrying to her feet. Thus began a frantic, stumbling lurch where Max began chasing down and tagging people at random. Each person she touched got the sensation of being drunk, syphoning just a little off Max. Not that it mattered much at this point. She waved her arms at Isaac, obviously trying to get him to join her noble quest.

Okay. Today just kept getting better.

He giggled again as his friend kept touching him. Isaac had a girl crawling on him, and she was pretty, even if she was Max and scared him a little. "I didn't know you wanted to do this!" Of course he was cool with it. What guy his age wouldn't be? "You're awesome too." And she'd liked that he'd kissed her hand. She'd giggled. And in his impaired state, that gave him perfect reason to lean over an try to kiss her again.

Try being the operative word there, since she scrambled to her feet and ran away. "Wait, Maaaaaaaaax," Isaac whined and tried to sit up a bit more. He'd thought he'd discovered his limit with his power already, but her siphoning off of the intoxication had left him confused. "Wait for meeeeee." He hauled himself off of the floor and followed after Max, nearly crashing into her. "I need to get these off..." Isaac fumbled with the gloves, struggling for about twice as long than he actually needed. Once they were off though, he was all ready for Max's quest. After a few flailing attempts, he even managed to catch another student on the elbow and felt another bolt of the warm, shivery feeling run through him.

It might have dimly occurred to Max that climbing all over one of her friends might not have been the best idea. Sure, she had a tendency toward touching just about anyone who got within arms' reach, but sometimes she seemed to forget that people read that differently. Like now, for example, she was touching just about anybody she could get her hands on, spreading the drunk. Apparently Isaac was getting into it too, since about half the room was starting to stumble.

"Just get some music going or something and we've got a party!" yelled Max, thrusting a fist into the air. By now, she'd touched enough people that she was feeling nearly sober. Since there technically had never been anything inside her, she wasn't feeling any real after effects. Except, you know, for the loss of the tipsy feeling.

Easy to fix that, especially with Isaac looking about ready to start trip. Without stopping to think about it (this would be too much for Max, even sober), Max grabbed her friend, whirled him about, and planted a kiss upon him. Practice made her aim decent, and a lifetime of siphoning sensations made that instinctive. Within moments, Max was tipsy again, pulling away from a likely much more sober Isaac.

And tripping over a couch.
And a person.
And was that a penguin? It looked like a penguin...

Isaac couldn't stop giggling, or grinning. His face was even starting to hurt, or it would have if he could even feel his face. Which he couldn't. Usually, he wasn't exactly a touchy kind of person, but he'd loosened up a lot. Doing costumes meant touching people, frequently girls. But that was different from what Max was doing, and he liked that better.

He stumbled after her, flailing a bit in an attempt to catch more of the people in the room. There seemed to be less than before, which was perplexing to Isaac's addled mind. But they were moving a bit slower, thanks to Max's "influence." Unfortunately, her touches made her progressively more sober. His were getting him higher, to the point where he was struggling to stand up straight. "Yeah, less have a parree," he slurred out, mimicking his friend's fist pump. This was so cool.

And it only got better for Isaac, when Max spun him around and kissed him. He didn't respond right away, and only started kissing back once he felt the drunkeness leaving him. When she pulled away, he grinned again, feeling a lot more steady. "Whoa. Max, that was... hey, careful!" He reached out to steady her when she tripped, grabbing hold of her shoulder. "Max, you might want to slow down with this. It's pretty strong." Understatement of the century, maybe? But she'd kissed him, and he was focusing a little more on that.

"Brain stopped working," said Max, wobbling and trying to grab onto Isaac without actually grabbing onto Isaac. It proved rather difficult, since Isaac kept moving, or at least Max's perception of Isaac kept moving. Or something. She just knew she was waving her hand and not connecting with him despite his being right freaking there.

"I'm doing fine," insisted Max. She giggled, looking around the room. Most of the people had either left or were stumbling around, clearly around Max's level of inebriation. Likely someone had gone off to get a faculty member of some kind, since this had clearly gotten out of control. Three guesses as to who was actually responsible for that.

Max giggled and flailed again, actually managing to grab onto Isaac's shirt this time. It wasn't skin, so no transfer, though it wasn't all that solid either. It gave her the leverage she needed to rise forward though, thrusting a fist into the air and shouting at the top of her lungs:

"DRUNKIFY ALL THE PEOPLES!"

Yeah, sometimes Max didn't even understand herself.

[Chase Campbell]

Chase didn’t care for clean up duty. Not at home, not at Hammel. But here he was again, moving slightly faster than a snail, towards yet another ‘situation.’ This power switching thing had caused chaos, yes, but that was par for the course with Hammel. Students got out of control with their powers all the time, and his own power made him an ideal ‘volunteer’ to deal with those situations.

So it wasn’t all that unusual for him to be called down to a disturbance. All he knew about this one was that it involved the student lounge, and more than one culprit. After the things he’d been dealing with the past few days, he was prepared for anything. So many of the students were playing with their new powers, while others were suddenly bewildered over poor control. (He really, really pitied whoever Rixon had swapped with.)

Walking into the lounge, he heard the shout and arched an eyebrow. Okay. That did not sound good. Figuring the girl as the culprit for the disturbance, he reached out to steady her, hands on her shoulders. “No one’s getting anyone drunk.” Mentally, he ran through the list of powers that could get someone in a state like this, and give off the desire to race around like a maniac touching people to ‘drunkify’ them. Tactile intoxication was at the top of his list. Which meant he’d have to be very, very careful.

The trainer glanced around the room at the others, recognizing Roman’s kid cousin. “Does someone want to tell me what’s going on?” Kids? This is not a game of ‘Get the Trainer Drunk’, okay?

"S'okay," Max's brain might have stopped working, but Isaac's hadn't. In fact, it was now in overdrive, jumping to all the wrong conclusions. (The power wasn't helping, even though he was significantly clearer-minded at the moment.) She had kissed him, which meant she liked him. He tried to support her as she punched the air and shouted, and he kept grinning like an idiot. Yes. They would drunkify everyone, if that was what Max wanted.

Of course, he wasn't expecting the trainer to come in, ready to break whatever ruckus they had caused up. And while Mr. Campbell probably wasn't wrong to think Max was behind the commotion, he didn't guess who was the real "danger" there.

"We were just playing a game," Isaac reached out and touched the trainer's forearm, and felt the wonderful, warm shiver run from his palm up to his brain. "Everything's okay." Granted, he knew a little bit more about the Campbells than the other students, because of his cousin. But he didn't know the trainer well enough to think that he was being convincing. "Please?"

He just wanted the blond man to let her go so he and Max could escape and possibly zap a bunch of other people. (And maybe hopefully kiss some more. That was fun.)
