[Delilah Grande]

Delilah wasn't having a good time with the platform gothic boots she'd bought to practice in so she'd look cool in front of Sidra and learn to walk properly so instead, she decided to make do with her regular ballerina flats instead. They were not only more comfortable but less dangerous for herself and those around her. She'd try and get Lucy to help her practice a bit more.

Was she obsessed with looking good in front of her first friend at Hammel ever? ... NO... Just cautiously optimistic about it. She just wanted one friend that didn't scoff at her. That friend was definitely Lucy, if only she'd open her eyes and see that. She fingered the bracelet as she stood in line waiting to take her lunch. Her brown eyes already scanned the cafeteria hopefully to see if Sidra would be there.

There was no hope with Lucy and having lunch with her. Avi might be with her instead and that was never a good thing for her to interfere. The last thing she wanted was to cause a fight and put Lucy in a difficult possition. Lily instead had to sit by herself, which was okay because she had her kindle on her and could download some news article to read while she ate.

Once she had her lunch, a piece of pizza and chocolate milkshake, she headed for a table near a dark haired girl and took her seat, flashing a fairly friendly smile at the girl. She then set her kindle down beside her tray and slowly opened her chocolate milk setting it down beside her kindle(never a good idea).

Delilah again, started searching for anyone of her friends. Her hand absentmindedly moved toward her Kindle, and instead , brushed passed the bottle of milkshake knocking it over right onto her kindle. Delilah lifted it quickly and tried to shake it off, hissing a swearword in Italian. The gadget sparked on the screen and the young meta yelped, dropping it to the ground before ducking under the table in fear her Kindle would explode or something. Milkshake rained down on her head and when she finally noticed, her curls were drenched in brown milk.

"Oh Yay! Another Embarressing moment which happens to be delightfully entertaining, curtesy of Delilah Grande...."
Lily grumbled, feebly trying to shake milkshake from her auburn curls.

Mia kept notes on all exchange students, as well as transfer students... and all students. So when Subject Grande chose to sit near her, while Mia didn't return the smile, she did not tell her to make like data and move.

Clearly, Delilah had not been here long enough to know who she was. That was kind of cool; exchange students tended to avoid her. Last time the technopath checked, the sex talk rumours had mutated to her creating an online student porn site, including live feeds to everyone's bedrooms.

Mia flinched as the Kindle she could feel behind her frontal lobe got splashed, shaking her head in frustration. Sure, it wasn't exactly the latest model but still, it did not deserve death by lactose. She winced again as it was dropped to the ground, and sighed in sympathy. For the Kindle, of course. She lent down and picked it up, ignoring the girl now dripping with milkshake and turning the ereader over in her hands.

"Napkins," she mumbled, reaching for them and wiping it down, then glancing under the table. "It's fine, by the way. And I think you just got brown milk on my leg. Don't do that."

There was a few circuits that had been broken by the moisture but that was easy enough to fix.

Delilah gasped at the girl's exclaimation that her baby was okay and her eyes widened as she sat up straighter. Of course, that meant that she hit her head against the underside of the table. It made a loud thud and vibrated the table a little.
"Ow!"
She exclaimed moving her hand back to rub at the back of her head before she crawled out from under the table and took her seat.

Of course half her seat was covered in chocolate milk and she soon began fixing the mess she made with loads of napkins while her Kindle was being handled by a slightly moody looking girl. Lily kept glancing at it and the girl.
"I'm uh... sorry about your leg... Does is really work? I was going to go over an article about SOPA when that happened..."
Lily said softly and carefully shifted closer leaning forward to try and see the perfectly flat screen.

It was beautifully clean again, just the way she kept it and she'd have thought she'd need to replace it. She was almost grateful that it was okay.
"Do you want me to clean your pants leg?"
Lily offered, her voice remaining soft and slightly distant. The only thing that held her interest right now was her Kindle and the fact that it had survived. It was a tiny little miracle in itself.
