There was probably some rule or something about meeting people you’d met online in real life; it was dangerous, people aren’t who they say they are, blahblah. As Fifi tapped out a text message on her cellphone, she wondered if the same unspoken rule applied to people you met in a secure school chatroom. She supposed she’d find out when Moe arrived.

The text was sent and Fifi reclined in one of the library chairs, waiting for her new friend to arrive. She wasn’t quite sure what Moe looked like…but she was sure the other girl would present herself soon. In the meantime, she leafed through a gossip magazine. Her stomach turned in knots when she caught sight of a family photo in it.

She swallowed hard and nearly threw the magazine on the table.
God…wouldn’t the media storm end?

Moe was EAGER to meet Fifi. He was sure the name rang a bell, since every time he said the name a little ping kept going off in his head. He'd just finished reading through his infamous look-book when he'd got the text, and he'd read it quickly, not bothering to reply. Tossing the book into his bag, he quickly preened in his dorm mirror, then went fluttering off to go and meet his new friend. Unlike Fifi, he had no worries about meeting someone from the school chatroom, though he'd begun to panic halfway down the corridor that the girl might hate him in person.

Poking his curly brown head through the door, he pushed it open and snuck inside, scouting for Fifi. Oh god, what if she hated crossdressers? What if she was like... Mia times two? The nerves made the tiny boy feel a little sick for a minute, then he shook his head and spotted a girl in the back.

She said the back corner, right? He checked his phone again, nodded, then raised his hand in a friendly wave.

"Fifi, right?" He chirruped, flumping down next to the girl and beaming. "Hey, I remember you!" His voice sounded eager, and he flung the lookbook on the table with relish. "I'm Moe. Or Pixie." He added, ruffling his hair so he had something to do with his hands.

"Lets get this over with." The Japanese teen said simply, sounding oddly business-like. "I have a penis." It was oddly blunt, and Moe nodded. "I'm a boy, in other words. If that offends you, it's fine, but I'd rather say it now and get the whole Eeeeewwww thing over and done with."

Fiona’s eyes lit up when the tiny brunette creature greeted her. She opened her mouth to respond, but Moe had already dropped the bomb.

…Penis?

Fifi blinked, her mouth still slightly slack. If it was possible, her eyes got brighter, positively humongous with pure glee. “OH. My god.” She gushed, nearly squealing. “You are the cutest fucking thing in the whole world!.” and now she was squealing.
Penis? Who cares. Now Fifi just had to use a different pronoun.

She rolled her eyes. “Offend me? Shit. Child, if you can pull it off you wear whatever the hell you want.” She covered her mouth. “Mmm…but if swearing offends you you’ll have to get over it.” She winked. “I’ve got a bit of mouth.”

Sighing, Fifi’s nose twitched a bit. “But I will ask one thing: since you say you’re a boy, you want me to use ‘he’ and ‘him,’ right?” She asked, making sure that she wasn’t going to offend Moe. She liked the kid (regardless of what was or wasn’t in his pants) as far as she knew, and she didn’t want to drive him off by being insensitive or something.
Plus then who would she talk fashion with?

Misato instantly relaxed when Fifi told him she was totally okay with his whole... dressing like a girl thing. Giggling when the girl called him the cutest thing in the world, he gave her a big cuddle.

"Oh trust me, you have a wonderful way with words compared to my ex." He cooed, simply swooning at how simply stylish Fifi was. "You're so stylish!" He added, his voice going a little high as he wiggled closer, ignoring the hissed shh from one of the corners. "You have no idea how much I want to go shopping with you. Like. Right now." The brunette's eyes were sparkling eagerly.

"And yeah, I'm a he. I have no desire to be a girl, I just LOVE the clothes." As if to demonstrate, the Japanese teen tugged at his outfit. "Boys just get a lot of pants. Pants and t-shirts." He wrinkled his nose and shook his head, before flipping open the lookbook to the first page, his smile bright.

Pointing with one super glittery, jemmed nail to a simple little dress, Moe sighed. "Isn't that just the cutest possible little dress? I mean the pattern is delicious. Better than what that skankass bitch Mia wears." Little Moe, being utterly vile? I blame Fifi's influence. They've been together two minutes and he's already acting catty.

Fifi of course knew the way to straight to any girls heart: through her self-esteem. A compliment did wonders, and it was so easy when it was so true! Fifi really just wanted to pocket-size Moe and carry her---er…him (she’d need to get used to that)—around in her pocket. Instant Moe! For whenever you’re sad! She giggled too at the thought and nuzzled back against Moe when he cuddled close.

“Your ex?” Fifi prompted, loving a good bit of juicy gossip. If he would share, of course. The tall girl was a little behind on the Hammel gossip and she definitely needed to catch up. She definitely couldn’t bring herself to read the rumor blog though. It was if reading it would doom her to be in it. And god forbid it be accurate.
She’d probable be harassed out of the school.

Fifi waved her hand. “Nah. This is just one of my nicer things.” She said, tugging at the short pink dress she was wearing. “A gift for my birthday last year, actually.” Fifi explained. It was one of the things she’d bothered keeping that was a gift from her parents. If she’d thrown all of it away, she’d have no clothes. Giggling still, Fifi wiggled excitedly. “Right?! Me too. We’ll have to arrange a mall trip.”

Nodding, Fifi peeked at the look-book. “Yeah I can see that. I’m sure if I had a penis I’d opt for the prettier things too.” She murmured. Fifi made a face like she’d just seen a puppy roll around in a rainbow. “Ohh~. That is SO sweet. I’d love to wear that out to like, a picnic or something.” Looking a bit taken aback, Fifi leaned away from Moe. “ ‘skankass bitch’? Damn, honey those are some harsh words.” Grinning positively devilishly, Fifi hunkered down and clasped Moe’s hand with excitement. “Tell me more.”

"Yeah, my ex." Moe said rather darkly, folding his arms across his chest. "Rumor splashed it all over the site that he'd cheated on me then caught me sorta... fooling around with Zac. It only happened once but yeah." He hurried the words out, his cheeks going dark. "I went back to Japan because my brother was sick, and Vincent took it as the cue to wave his dick around." His eyes narrowed and he scowled. Clearly this was a slightly sensitive subject, but he needed to get it out.

Waving his hand in an idle manner, the boy set his gaze back on the look book, leafing through the pages. "Now that's an outfit." Moe said dreamily, eyes misting over. "I love how she's co-ordinating pink and bubblegum blue so tastefully. And where did she get those shoes?! They're not on the style list." He sighed gently, tucking his hair behind his ears.

He smiled slightly at the idea of a mall trip, his eyes lighting up. "We could have a sleepover afterwards - I'm trying to get an apartment and it is simply scrumptious with a beautiful kitchen." The teen rambled, twisting his fingers around his hair.

When Fifi displayed shock at Moe's harsh words, he flopped back in his seat and tutted. "Well, I had to do this english assignment with her and sometimes I speak in third person, it's like... a defense thing. So anyway, I'm talking and she starts being catty about me and my ex. And she's just picking and poking at it with her fugly haircut." He snorted. "So anyway I stormed out of the class 'cause I was sick of her, and she put tentacle porn on my stuff. She's a technopath. How the hell did she know where to look for that stuff? Closet perverted bitchbag."

Fifi shook her head in astonishment. “Zac? LaRousse?” She balked, her mouth hanging open wide like a dead fish. “Vincent Verax!?” She sputtered, starting to chuckle. “How the hell is it that you got to all the boys I wanted before I did?” Fifi paused to think about what she’d said and winced. “That…sounded awfully--- I didn’t mean—I--…” She stopped and hung her head, hiding her eyes. “Ugh. Pretend I didn’t just say I wanted to sleep with your ex. He's obviously like, a supermega asshole anyway.”

“How is your brother now?” She offered, hoping the change in subject would keep her new friend from hating her. God forbid Moe turn the words he had for Mia onto Fifi. She had enough on her hands.

Sighing wistfully, Fifi shook her head. “I know I said this before, but I’m so absurdly jealous of you. I’d love to just get an apartment out on my own.” Shrugging, Fifi tilted her head. “But not this time around. I’m still in the dorms.”

The glower on Fifi’s face grew into a deeper and deeper scowl as Moe told the story. “What the hell?!” She exclaimed, earning them another hushing from the librarian. She lowered her voice to an obviously angry growl. “What the fuck business is it of hers? Or anybodies really?” She crossed her arms and huffed.

“Sounds to me like someone shit in her breakfast…eternally.”

Moe's cheeks turned a shade or two darker when Fifi exclaimed loudly. "Uh... Yes. LaRousse." He fidgeted a moment, before snapping his head up with a slightly narrowed eye at the girl's next comment. Of course, she did do a fantastic save before the little pixie went off on a tirade - he's still soft for Vincent, after all. "It's okay." He said a little sadly, offering a little shrug. "I'm surprised he HASN'T slept with you. Vinvin- I mean Vincent... he's already slept with half the school."

Shaking the sad thoughts from his head, the brunette instead fixed on the next question and managed to smile. "He's much better now. He's got to be kept an eye on, but he's back to school and Mama and Papa aren't freaking out so much anymore."

"And honestly, don't be jealous of me. I have a long list of haters and an even longer list of guys who think I've personally wronged them by wearing dresses." Moe managed a laugh and shrugged. "When I get the apartment you can come chill with me as much as you want, seriously. We can tune in to the shopping channel and laugh at the crappy cheap stuff on there."

Of course, Fifi well and truly put herself back in the safe zone with Moe by likewise showing outrage at Mia's epic bitchery. "I know right? I don't know many people who actually like her, she's such a cow." The boy's voice tittered, the lookbook draped over the arm of his chair. "Don't you know Fifi? Everything is her fucking business." The teen nearly spat the words out of his mouth, then leant back in the chair, arms tucked behind his head.

"If I didn't refuse to hit girls, she'd totally be sporting a black eye right now." He added, rolling his eyes. "She says she can hit hard back, but I learnt from the king of punches himself." Yes, Moe is referring to Vincent. Hopefully he's not eavesdropping else his ego might have just swollen to dangerous size.

Learning her lesson from the first time she opened her fat mouth, Fifi ignored Moe’s comments about his ex. Fifi made a mental note to add another article to the Girly Ten Commandments

Thou shalt not speak of fucking your friend’s ex.

“I’m glad to hear he’s doing better. Do you guys like, Skype and stuff?” She questioned. She hadn’t made many new friends of the international variety, but she knew the perks of video calling. Sometimes a phone call just wouldn’t do it, and you had to see that person face to face. It could do loads for morale, especially for the sick.

Fifi clicked her tongue against her teeth, clucking with disapproval. “Man…Fuck them!” She condemned, pouting intensely. “You shouldn’t have to take that shit. They’re jealous, if you ask me.” Clearing her throat, Fifi shook her head. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to get preachy.” She chuckled and grinned at Moe. “I just think bitches need to back off and let you do you.”

Matching Moe’s scathing tone, Fifi waved her hand back and forth. “Child. I’ll catfight her on your behalf. Some girls just need to be hit! And this bitch sounds like she needs to be put in her place.”

Moe nodded at Fifi's next query, forgetting entirely about the whole ex-sex-thing and managing a big smile. "Yeah, it helps me feel a little less homesick. I mean, I've been in America for a long time now, but it doesn't make it any easier sometimes. Like... some words still feel awkward and r's and l's and v's and b's all sound the same to me, so people think I sound weird." (Yes, Vincent Verax is Bincent Belax, for those who are curious.)

"Haters gonna hate." The brunette giggled, grinning a bit. "It's fine, aside from getting the odd football to the back - ow." As if to demonstrate these words, the boy spread his wings from his back and waved them around, wincing a little. "Imagine getting this fast, hard object chucked right where these are." He scowled, then managed a shrug. "Preachy? Nah, it's nice to have someone in my corner."

The image of Fifi catfighting Mia left Moe with the biggest smirk on his face ever, and he nodded in agreement. "I'm so letting you do it. If she says one more thing about me and Vincent, or me and Zac, or me in general, you can go all She-Ra on her ass." The boy snapped his fingers and tossed his hair back.

"That aside, I think you and I should totally hit the mall. Do you have a free?" Moe tilted his head like a little bird, fixing his glittery stare on Fifi. "I have two frees back to back and... well, I've caught up with everything so I'm kinda fidge... f... ah, that word. You know what I mean?"

Fifi wrinkled her nose. “You don’t sound weird you just speak a different language. Which is more than a lot of people can say.” She gasped suddenly and wiggled with excitement. “Dude, you should teach me some Japanese! Then we can talk shit about Mia in front of other people.” She chimed, glee simple lighting her face at the prospect of being able to smack talk in other languages.

Leaning back as the delicate-looking set of wings burst from Moe’s back, Fifi ducked her head behind her elbow, prepared for any dust. “Wow~.” She marveled, nodding slowly. “They’re pretty though…I bet they make quite an accessory at Halloween.”
Playfully flexing her muscles, Fifi made a piggish face that she construed as manly. “Aww~ Yeah. She-Ra I go, bitch.” She said, throwing a few punches into the hair before falling into quiet giggles. “I’m all for it. If only just to get out some aggression.” She snorted. “God knows I need it sometimes.”

Thoughtfully Fifi chewed the side of her thumbnail and shook her head. “Well I’m sort of…” She heaved a sigh. “I’m under supervised off-campus trips.” She grumbled. “I’d have to ask my in-charge-person if I can head out.” Shrugging, Fifi looked to the side. “Besides, I don’t have a free period. Maybe this evening?” She suggested. Fifi let her hand flop into her lap. “and I think the word you’re looking for is ‘fidgety.’ “

Moe's eyebrows raised up into his fringe when Fifi asked him to teach her Japanese. For a second he looked a little dumbstruck, then his eyes positively sparkled and he clapped his hands together with delight. "You want to learn?" He squeaked, his voice impossibly high. "Oh god yes! I can totally teach you! I'd like that!" Instantly, Moe began thinking of his first school days and what he was taught, radiating with excitement.

"They're useful sometimes." Moe admitted, gesturing at his wings. "Flying is pretty awesome, but the pain from having them kind of rules out all the best bits sometimes. It's like someone repeatedly stabbing me in the shoulder blades with a dagger." The little brunette huffed a little, only to start laughing silently at Fifi's face, grinning. "Please, be my guest." He said with a smirk. "I'd love to see that skanky bitch get a world of hurt all in her face."

When Fifi admitted she was on supervised off-campus trips, Moe blinked in surprise, then shrugged his little shoulders. "Well, whoever they are, they'd probably be fine with us going out. I'm all... straight laced. Or I used to be." Indeed, since the break up, while still maintaining his high grades, Moe had begun to stop being so utterly goody-two-shoes. He'd ditched a class, trash talked a few people that had gotten in his face, and he'd randomly slept with Zac. Funny how the break up had completely changed Moe's outlook on things. "Thanks. Some words just evade me sometimes." He admitted with a little shrug, before staring down at his nails.

"Ugh. Got a chip." He complained, showing Fifi the offensive little dink in the corner of his perfectly decorated nails.

In the silence that momentarily hung between them, Fifi wondered if Moe was just going to laugh in her face. Fifi assumed immediately that she was probably too stupid to learn Japanese, but she could try right? When she was met with excitement rather than scorn, Fifi giggled in reply to Moe’s delight. “Duh, I want to learn!” She replied, tossing her hair over her shoulder.

Fifi nodded and hummed in agreement. “Side effects are a pain in the ass, for sure. They’ve gotten me in plenty of trouble.” Jouvie-type trouble. But she wouldn’t talk of that just yet. “I can understand, but I can’t relate.” Fifi tapped her fingers on her knee idly. “I mean, I don’t have pain side effects.” She elaborated.

Fifi shifted slightly and nodded. “Probably. I don’t go out much since I’ve been back. So I’ll ask and see what’s up. Maybe I can convince ‘em to give me a long leash.” She joked uneasily, glad for the change of subject to Moe’s nails. She tilted her head to examine the chip.
“Bet I could buff it out for ya, if you wanted.” She murmured. “Or do a touch up.”

"Awesome. I'll try and get my parents to send over some of my elementary school books and then we can have a go." Moe laughed and moved a little closer. "It's not easy though, 'cause... um... we have three alphabets. Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji... but I'll try and make it easier." Drumming his fingers on his knee, he couldn't help but smile at the idea of having someone else to chat to in Japanese.

Moe nodded slowly in response to Fifi's side effects dilemmas. "Aww, I forget to ask, what's your power?" He asked interestedly, quirking a brow up. "Obviously, mine is the wings, but they also spray this powder that makes people hallucinate. It means I have to be pretty careful when I open 'em up." Stifling a little yawn - Moe hadn't been sleeping particularly well since the break up, such are the woes of a broken heart - the brunette eyed Fifi's nicely done nails.

"Either way we totally need to shop." The boy said stubbornly, moving the chipped finger this way and that. "A touch up would be great - normally when I get a chip I just start over. Sticking these gems and stickers on take forever." The brunette suddenly looked excited. "Hey, have you seen those awesome foil nails that you lay on? I really want to try them, but I'm scared I'd mess up." Tutting a little at the chip, Moe shrugged and wiggled his fingers, just to further show off his nails gleefully.

“Three?” Fifi replied, her eyebrows raised. Why the hell would any language need three alphabets? Thinking of a more delicate way to phrase that sentiment, Fifi managed to come up with: “What are they used for?” Christ…three. “And as long as I can gossip with you without anyone understanding, I’ll do whatever it takes.” She said, winking. Learning to speak a language didn’t necessarily mean needing to read it, right?

“Mine? Tactile Intoxication.” She recited, hoping that Moe wouldn’t ask. But it was impolite to just not say, so she was stuck admitting it. It used to be that she was proud of her powers, but now she realized how much trouble it linked her to. Already rumors had started about her being the cause of some serious troubles…unfortunately most of them were true. Looking to Moe’s wings, Fifi nodded. “Pixie dust, huh? So am I going to start seeing things?” She inquired, mostly out of interest. She’d done some drugs. Seeing things was nothing new.


“Exactly. Shopping is the ultimate goal.” Fifi agreed, nodding shortly. Tilting her head to get a real look at Moe’s nails, Fifi clucked and nodded. “Yeah I can see why. But I bet I could get around it. I’m a master with a toothpick.” At the mention of the stick-on nail jobs, Fifi scoffed. “Uhm, Duh! Yes I have! I’ve got some in my room actually.” She said, nodding. “The Zebra print ones.” She tapped her chin thoughtfully. “They’re alright. I like them for a rush job, but I really prefer to do my own nails…the lay-over ones don’t last as long.” After a pause, Fifi chuckled. “That is, if we’re talking about the same thing.”
