...Do you feel like a man, when you push her around
Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground
Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's got to end
As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found
Do you feel better now, as she falls to the ground
Well I'll tell you my friend, one day this world's got to end
As your lies crumble down, a new life she has found
The song 'Face Down' by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus blasted from her ipod as Olivia ran laps around the gym. Not exactly her favorite type of music to listen to on a regular day-to-day basis, but it was fast paced and sometimes she needed the motivation. She was not in track, or any sport for that matter, so she didn't need to train. She just liked running. The reason behind her not being in soccer or something is because she is so extremely clumsy. Not clumsy, like spilling a water glass every now and then, clumsy like tripping over flat ground, running into stationary objects, and especially slipping on ice. This was why she didn't jog outside in the winter. Way to clumsy for that.
After pulling her long dark hair into a ponytail, she glanced around the gym. Not to many people were in here. She jogged at a slow, steady pace, going along with the music. She mouthed the words, getting pretty into it, probably looking weird while she did so. But Olivia didn't care. People could think what they wanted about her, it didn't matter. Their loss. Of course she didn't really think negative thoughts like this. She thought about happy things. Butterflies. Rainbows. Sunshine. Anything sad she avoided. She refused to believe that this was a bad thing. Why should she live life angry and sad?
While lost in her own mind, she forgot to watch where she was going and ran into something. Something hard. A person? Yes, a person. Whoops. Well, that's why 'graceful' and 'Olivia Delmore' weren't usually used in the same sentence. She tumbled to the ground, hard, her earphones yanking out at the sudden moment. Her hands flew out in front of her to catch herself and she did, but not before skinning her knee and twisting her ankle a bit. Her cheeks turned a shade of red and she looked around in embarrassment for the person she had hit.
