Negotiating [Delilah]

[Will Sommers]

"Just get in!" Will yelled at the other Will, frustrated.

He stood in the empty classroom, constantly checking the watch in a vague hope that a class wasn't going to start anytime soon. However, the duplicate Will didn't seem too bothered at all. Will's counterpart lay on the desk, kicking his feet in the air, completely ignoring the real Will.

"Come on!" Will shouted once again, getting really rather annoyed.

"Urm...how about no?" the Duplicate replied simply, a small smile on his face.

"Why not?!"

"It's cramped in there!"

Will angrily kicked a chair aside, knocking it to the floor loudly, not fazing the Duplicate. He was used to it. Will however, was never going to get used to his duplicates messing him around. He was always tired, with them hopping in and out whenever, and was bored of them doing whatever they wanted. The fact he had so little control was still something that Will tried to keep a secret, and hide from others, but it was going increasingly hard when they start jumping out of him when he's in the shower and running off. Luckily, he caught up with his duplicate, and now the pair of them were confronting each other in the classroom. He didn't even have Maths today!

"I'm sick of this. Just do what I say, for once, do what I say! I've got so little control over you that it's going to get out soon, and then the teachers will be all over us! Do you really want that?"

"...Eh."

Delilah was humming softly as she walked down the alway a thick book hugged to her chest. She fell silent though when she heard the commotion come from a doorway of an open class room. The hallways were empty now. Everything was rather silent except for the screaming from someone. Lily moved slowly along the hallway almost tiptoeing when her curiousity got the better of her. Maybe if she'd just walked past and toward her dorm room she wouldn't have seen anything but she had and she was already heading the way of shouting and the screaming.

She came to a stop near the edge of the doorway and peeked in half her face hidden by the wall between her and whomever was within the classroom. Lily gasped when she sway two strapping young boys arguing... They seemed to be twins. Were they Gestalt? No... if they were Gestalt they wouldn't be arguing would they? Then maybe they were identical twins and get in where? She shifted slowly from her hiding place to hear a little better. Lily jumped and gasped when he kicked at the chair and winced curling back into the shadows.

Untill someone started coming down the hall her way and not someone she liked. It was that Antoinette girl. The one who constantly shoved Lily into things to make her more clumsy then she already was. Ruin her rep completely and shatter her hopes and dreams of ever gaining any status in this school at all. Lily scrambled into the Class room with a soft little 'Eep' and flung the door closed, slowing down to close it softly when it got to the part where it would click. Lily backed away from the door softly half panting, completely forgetting that there was someone else in the room.

She back straight into a chair, flailed, fell over backward and hit the floor on the other side groaning as she rubbed at her head where she had hit it against a desk. Lily blinked a couple of times in fear at the door then shot her eyes at the other two people in the room finally allowing herself some concentration again... He was having problems with his powers?
"I ... I ... I"
She stuttered face flushed red.

Another beautiful person she'd made a clutz of herself in front of AND now he probably thought she was spying on him all along PLUS he was violent. Lily gulped noisily.

[Will Sommers]

Will was so focused on his counterpart that he didn't register much else, busy venting his frustration, and mostly missed the gasps coming from the door. In fact, he even missed the person running through the doorway, while he was busy walking up to the duplicate.

"What, you gonna hit me? You'll only hurt yourself, idiot," the duplicate taunted, and Will clenched his fist angrily.

What, however, he couldn't possibly miss, was the cluttering of somebody falling over a chair. When Will finally turned around, slightly shocked, he saw a young beautiful girl sprawled on the floor, groaning. Will slowly looked at his counterpart, who at least seemed amused by the situation.

"I ... I ... I" the girl stuttered, slowly turning red as she stared at the two Wills, before gulping rather hard.

Will let out a breath, and tried to evaluate the situation, trying to calm himself down. The question of how much she'd heard was bothering him, but he had to put it aside for a moment and focus on the fact she might well have hurt herself.

"You okay?" Will asked, breathing steadily as he tried to forget about his idiot duplicate.

Will went over to her and offered out a hand, for helping her up from the floor. He had to admit, she really was rather beautiful, and Will didn't say that about every girl. But still it bothered him that she might have heard what he was on about. She may seem nice enough, but who knew who she'd tell?

"...Were you, urm, were you listening in?" Will asked tentatively.

He was a lot calmer than he was before, but he knew if the smirking duplicate piped up behind him, Will could easily lose this calm persona. While he was busy helping the girl up though, he heard footsteps at the door. He tensed, and looked to his duplicate, who was still acting like an idiot. He heard the door handle rattle slightly as somebody grabbed it, and Will acted on instinct.

"If you're not going to get back in, at least get down!" Will hissed to his counterpart, who shrugged then, perhaps less graceful than intended, rolled off of the desk he was sat on.

He turned back the girl and tried to think as quickly as possible as the door handle began to turn. If it was a teacher he'd have to explain what was going on, and Will wasn't good on the spot, so he had to hide the pair of them. Grabbing the girl around the waist, he pulled the pair of them down under a desk to hide, and clamped a hand over the girl's mouth to quiet her, as the door opened wide.

Lily flinched when he came over to her too quickly expecting, as always a bit of a screaming from whoever the person she'd accidentally interupted was. Lily was surprised when nothing came out and her eyes flicked between the stong boy hovering over her and his... well... bit of him? Who seemed amused? Instantly, she pouted. Yeah, he could see why they were arguing. Lily's eyes returned to the boy that was hanging over her when he asked if she was okay and then she eyed his hand again.

"Uh... I'm... Uh...I'm..."
Lily's eyes flicked nervously to the door as she took his hand and stood up wincing at the spot on her hip where she was sure she'd have a bruise come morning. Once on her feet her eyes flicked back to the duplicate will and she tucked her hair quickly behind his ear then pulled her hand rapidly from his blushing again. Was she listening? She quickly shook her head making her hair bounce back into her face. The pang in her head made her stop quickly and her hand went up to her temple wincing.

"Iwon'ttellanybody. I promise...."
Her eyes returned to the duplicate and a vision of hundreds of these guys all walking her down hallways and protecting her... and everyone else from harm, flashed through her mind making her giggle. Her hand came to cover it up and she dropped her head to try and calm herself before flicking her eyes up at the real him when the door started to rattle. Lily's eyes went wide and she moved a little closer to Will. Oh God. Oh God. Embarressmentzilla was here! Oh God! Lily was suddenly grabbed around the waist and pulled under the table.

Her mouth was covered before she could scream out in shock.
"Grande? I saw you! You came in here! What? scared....?"
Yeah! Totally scared! Lily scrambled back into the guy holding her mouth shut and turn to bury her face in his chest. Ever since the macaroni cheese incident where most of the school had wet themselves laughing at Antoinette she'd had it out for Lily... Things went silent though... not that Lily was gonna be the one to check if Antoinette had given up.

Will tried to keep calm as the door opened, and he held tightly onto the girl in his hands, and could feel her breathing on his hand. He just had to hope that his duplicate wouldn't do anything annoyingly dumb while he and the girl kept their heads down. Will thought back on how the girl was lost for words, how she struggled to suppress a giggle and promised not to say anything. She was sweet, and he rather liked her.

"Grande? I saw you! You came in here! What? scared....?"

Will felt the girl in his grasp bury her head into his chest, and he looked down at her concerned. The girl at the door was obviously somebody who upset the girl in his hands. A bully, from her tone. Will tried to stop himself, but he felt urged to jump up and show the bully a piece of his mind. But, he knew if he sat patiently, they'd get bored. Well, he certainly hoped.

But the bully didn't seem like she was going to give up anytime soon. She began to prowl down the aisles, and Will's nose flared in annoyance. This was going too far. As she got closer and closer, Will felt the urge to jump up. Sure, he didn't know this girl who was in his arms, but he knew that he didn't like bullies. It was good enough for him. Will let go of the girl in his arms and clambered out from underneath the desk and looked at the bully, who was about the same age as the one under the table.

"Do you want to get out of here, or am I going to have to throw you out?" Will asked aggressively, as three other versions of him split out from him.

The boy holding her steady seemed to be tensing up. His body taunt and the tension in the air around them grew so thick that it could be cut with a knife. He let her go and scrambled out causing Lily to back into a corner under the table her legs pulled up against her chest as she watched his legs... then there were four other sets of legs and the Italian girl stared in surprise, head tilted forward as she watched. She finally felt safe enough to move a little forward and the look on his face seemed to scream murder... just like the goth girl did when Lily had spilt slushie all over her perfect goth outfit.

"She's an accident waiting to happen. Good luck to you..."
She heard feet shuffle and she heard Antoinette stop out of the room. Lily scrambled from underneath the table and came face to face with one of the duplicates who was much bigger then her before stepping back a little then she turned and hurried to fetch her book which was underneath one of the desks before she turned back to the boy half smiling.

"Thank you... Um... you should... check...with one of the trainers about..."
She motioned to the other hims but she didn't know which one to directly talk to, which was the original him.
"I'm Delilah... Lily and I struggle to sleep too by the way."
Lily assured him hoping she'd made him feel better. Maybe he'd be the first friend he'd make here.

"Antoinette's right you know? For your own safety you better wear a helmet around me..."
Lily half heartedly joked scoffing at her own joke.

"She's an accident waiting to happen. Good luck to you..."

"Shut up and get out of here," Will growled.

"Ur, yeah, what he said!" a duplicate heckled.

"Move it!" another, slightly cockier one called out.

Will gave them a glare as the bully left the room, and the girl clambered out from under the desk. Will reckoned that the four versions of him probably looked ever so slightly intimidating, but he'd relaxed once more back to a slightly more civil manner.

"Thank you... Um... you should... check...with one of the trainers about..." she said to the general group of Wills.

"Thanks for the offer, but I'd rather not talk to one of those trainers. I don't want to only get to come out when he says," the cocky one replied.

"Shut up!" Will warned his duplicate, before turning back to her. "Sorry about them, and don't worry, it was nothing."

Will smiled warmly over to her, as she tried to pick which Will to talk to, and he nearly laughed at the confusion. Even if they were annoying, at least the duplicates provided a few laughs. Occasionally. Well, rarely.

"I'm Delilah... Lily and I struggle to sleep too by the way."

"Well, it's certainly nice to meet you Lily. I'm Will. Well, we're Will. I suppose we can make a Sleep-Deprived Club," Will smirked.

"Antoinette's right you know? For your own safety you better wear a helmet around me..."

"Don't worry, I'm sure you're nothing compared to these idiots," Will muttered, nodding towards the assembled duplicates.

Lily couldn't help but laugh a little too when he laughed. His laughter was ever so slightly infectious. She also couldn't help tilting her head at him. He wasn't so bad. Tall, dark and handsome seemed to have a good heart behind his rapid temper. Lily hugged her book against her chest and shook her head slightly at the bickering between Will and Will. There had to be a way to help him? Or maybe... keep herself safe? She did feel safe with him around. This could be mutually beneficial. She knew why the duplicates were popping out of him now.

She could figure it out... Lily took a deep breath and watched him for a long moment, keeping her eyes on him to make sure she had the right one.
"What if I helped you? You just ... sorta, kinda saved me from another bruise at Antoinette's hands."
She gave an apologetic look to his duplicates before returning her attention to him.

"I have to go... I've got classes and the maths class is about to arrive but... maybe we could... meet again?"
She motioned to the door when she mentioned classes. Their time was running out. She could hear students heading toward the class already and she gave a soft sigh glancing over her shoulder at the door then back at him.

"You all better gather together and get out... I'll keep your secret Will... "
Oh damn it! Why couldn't she like... try and stay with him and build up the friendship. At least she'd have like... a friend that wasn't calling her spineless every couple of seconds or accident prone or something....Lily turned to the door, her head dropping and her hair veiling her face.

"What if I helped you? You just ... sorta, kinda saved me from another bruise at Antoinette's hands."

Will had to admit, he was intrigued by her suggestion, as the two locked eyes. What did she mean? How could she do that? Why were her eyes so adorable? So many questions plagued his mind as she said that.

"...How?" Will asked, confused, but definitely interested.

"I have to go... I've got classes and the maths class is about to arrive but... maybe we could... meet again?"

Will quickly looked down at his watch, and groaned as he realised class was going to start any second. He looked back up at her and nodded, with a warm friendly smile.

"Yeah, definitely," Will told her with utter confidence.

"You all better gather together and get out... I'll keep your secret Will... "

"Thank you," Will nodded appreciatively, and turned to his assembled counterparts.

"Alright you lot, if you get in now I'll let you all out tonight. Sound fair?"

"Not exactly, but we'll go with it..." one of them muttered.

Two of them jumped back into Will, while the other went to retrieve the one laid out on the ground still hiding. Maybe she could make a difference? He could only hope.
