I Can Transform Ya (CINEMA CLUB)

Walking into Ms Greenwood's class, he didn't make a sound. One of his passions is movies. If he doesn't have class or anything, that is it. And now that Cinema Club has been formed, it was time to express himself with it. And the movie of today; Transformers 3. He had watched it about a day ago and it had the transformer excitingness but there was one thing that bothered him. One thing that crawled under his skin: where is Megan Fox. Sam and Karly? Whatever, might as well stuck him with Malibu Barbie. It made him want to cry, seriously.

Sitting in the middle, third row from the back, he put his backpack onto the floor and kicked back in the seat, waiting for the others to come. He was so grateful that Ms Greenwood let them use her room. He guessed that being in a life or death situation with even a teacher made a bond. He turned off his phone, pulled the earphones out of his ears and sat patiently. In a black leather jacket, black skinny jeans and white hightops, he chilled and sat looking at the door for someone to come.

Angie was torn as she walked to the room where cinema club was going to be. Her breathing was ragged and she could faintly taste blood swirl around her mouth as she chewed the inside of her cheek. But she refused to be the same quiet girl she’d been at home. She wouldn’t be. Here, she’d make friends. Here, she’d be a different person.

Here… Was the classroom. Panic and fear got the best of her and she darted into the nearest bathroom, going into the first stall. Of course, logically she knew nothing horrible would. These people would probably be nice enough. At the absolute worse, they wouldn’t be interested in anything she had to say. And if they were rude, then it was only one afternoon wasted. She needed to get over her fear of new people and things. So after washing her hands, she marched back towards the room.

But she kept walking. She wanted to know if there was already somebody in there. And sure enough, she saw somebody. Still jumpy, she walked past the room. Then realized if she walked by again without going in, she’d look like a huge freak. Turning around, she walked back down the hall once last time, a look of determination stamped on her face.

Then in the room, she took a deep breath and only took a few steps towards the boy already sitting down. “Um… Excuse me?” She cleared throat because she was being quiet and her voice was scratchy. “This is Cinema Club… Right? I’m not in the wrong room?”

As she spoke, Angie’s fingers pulled and stretched at the bottom of gray sweater that was two sizes too big. Try as she might to not show she was nervous, nothing would stop her fidgeting. But it did help being able to wear more age appropriate things. Like the dark skinny jeans she was wearing, or the ugg knock offs, or even the black and white checkered backpack. All of which she’d managed to get at the second hand shop.

Click. Click Click. Sevanna’s boots tapped against the hallway floor as she half-jogged half-walked to her room. She was going to be a few minutes late to Cinema Club’s first official meeting. (She HATED being late and always gave detentions to students who were late to her class unless they were excused.) Yeah you might think Sevanna would already be in her classroom awaiting the arrival of student members, but no. Instead she managed to drive around Pilot Ridge (rushing out the doors as soon as the bell rang to end school) and, eventually, found a small donut bakery at the last second. She thought it would be a nice treat for the students, and besides, she was craving a sweet fried pastry herself.

She balanced the box in one hand and held a partially eaten chocolate coated Boston crème donut in the other. It was a recipe for disaster for a hazard like Ms. Greenwood; nonetheless she made her way upstairs to her room without trouble. Her door was open but there didn’t seem to be too many kids inside yet. Oh goody! I must not be too late.

“Only two of you? Sheesh, I thought there would be a little more interest. Well, it’s still early. I’d hate to see these donuts go to waste.” Ms. Greenwood said to Rayne and the stranger in the room cheerfully. (after she checked the clock on the wall) Hopefully not scaring anyone or interrupting their conversation. “Hey Rayne.” She smiled at him, glad that the whole life-and-death situation turned out for the better.

Sevanna set the box on one of the back counters, next to a roll of paper towels. Maybe I should've bought drinks....Eh they have water fountains. She chewed on a bite of her donut, heading over to her desk to grab her black directors hat she recently purchased, just for the experience. When Sevanna became involved in something she made sure she got creative about it. And even though she didn't know what exactly Cinema Club entailed for her, (having never supervised anything like it before) she would learn and figure it out over the course of the year. The hat, and also a movie clapperboard propped against the white board, were only the first steps.

Sevanna pulled up the projector screen, took a deep purple marker (once she erased steps on how to write a social commentary paper) and wrote her name in big letters on the board like the day she started teaching at Hammel. Underneath her name she wrote the topic: Transformers 3. (still holding her donut in her free hand because she's a slow eater) Then she plopped her butt down on her desk, swinging her legs like a kid, and finished her snack. It was after school so she saw no reason she couldn't be relaxed and casual.

"So," Sevanna began as she wiped her hands clean on a napkin, "I know Rayne, but what would be your name, sweetie? I'm Ms. Greenwood." She directed the question at the unfamiliar face, Angela, with a friendly grin. I don't think I have her in any of my classes.. She was horrible with remembering people and their names.

[Eloise Ryann]

Eloise trotted through the halls at a halting pace. It wouldn't do well to try and run to the meeting. She'd draw too much attention to herself, speeding through the crowd. Besides, her running wasn't much faster than her normal pace. Her messenger bag kept flapping against her thighs, and even if socks separated skin from the load, she was sure it was going to bruise. The skirt she was wearing wasn't probably the best idea either. As she went along at her awkward canter, she had to keep holding the hem down at the back.

Of course, she hadn't planned to be late, so she had an excuse. Two, even. By some mistake, Eloise had managed to sit in the wrong classroom for ten minutes in an attempt to be early. So now, she was halfway walking, halfway running in another failing attempt to be on time.

"I'm so terribly sorry," she whispered, somewhat out of breath, as she entered the door. "I thought some other classroom was the correct classroom and I was sitting for several minutes because I wanted to be early but then I checked the note that I made in this book that I have (it's pretty helpful, the book, it's small and I can carry it everywhere and it's not going to run out of charge like a phone, but that's besides the point) and so. Yeah. I had to kind of run here, not really though, because running and I aren't exactly the best of mates, but that's unrelated. This is Cinema Club, right?"
