Thread Roulette: Limited Decorations

Dorothy Wilson is decorating the entry to the dorms for Thanksgiving. She enlists two passing students--Cristobal Autieri and Zaeric Blackwood--to help her out.

Rules: Your characters are limited to a certain number of words each time they speak. Dorothy can only say four words at a time. Christobal can only say two words. Zaeric can only say five words. No more, no less.

[Cristobal Autieri]

Cristobal heard the big news; he has to set up Thanksgiving Decorations with a cryomancer. He walked down the campus, from the Gymnasium. Zachary hasn’t bullied him in a while, so he was quite up for this. Looking around before he walked inside, Cristobal watched the students exit their dorms, and enter. Cristobal smiled towards the on-going students, and entered the First Floor. He checked his phone a couple of times for calls or any text, but there wasn’t any. He sat in the chair, waiting for Dorothy, with a smile.

Cristobal was actually into Thanksgiving, not because of the food, because of the union, everyone joined around and told what they were thankful for. That was all Cristobal right there. He looked towards the box that contained the thanksgiving decorations, which he saw every year when he passed by. But something told him that Dorothy wasn’t that type of girl, she must’ve been the stylish type.

“Holy shit.” Cristobal forgot his wallet, how was he supposed to get on the bus if he was supposed to help Dorothy buy new Thanksgiving decorations?

[Dorothy Wilson]

It was Dorothy's favorite time of the year. Just after the start of school and just before Christmas. Know what that meant? Turkey time! And that meant decorations! Dorothy grinned thinking of what she was planning on doing this year. All she knew is that it involved feathers. Lots and lots of feathers.

She had taken the trip into town to get supplies, making sure she would have everything she needed for decorating. Fabric glue? Check. Banner? Check. Fake food? Check. Markers? Check. Glue? Check. Various embezzlement? Check. Feathers? Check! Everything was finally working out. Now all she needed were some victims----ahem, volunteers. Grinning Dorothy grabbed her schedule and looked for people with openings.

She had called Cristobal and Zaeric out because, well the two had nothing to do and Dorothy would need the help. Plus she had offered the incentive of cookies and hot chocolate as well. With her bribe and her powers as a dorm mom, she as able to rope the two into helping her.

She was setting up the banner on the ground, having the paint and the feathers out in the open when she heard Cristobal approach and swearing. “Watch your mouth mister.” Dorothy frowned. He wouldn't swear in front of her. “Else soap goes in.” Yes she would go through with her promise. She smiled light heatedly and painted a pumpkin on the banner. “Just paint Thanksgiving stuff.” The feathers would come later.

[Zaeric Blackwood]

Okay, so he hadn't been doing anything and Mrs. Wilson had said something about helping decorating. He had groaned slightly and wasn't looking forward to it until she said something about hot chocolate and cookies. That got his attention. He liked cookies and hot chocolate. He followed her and took in all the supplies she had collected to work on. Zaer was a halfway decent decorator, but nothing spectacular.

" Can I decorate the banner?" He asked, looking at the long piece of paper. He could thing of some cool leaf designs and pumpkins and stuff he could put on. There were cutouts among the supplies that could be taped up in groups. They'd look nice. He took a few and sorted through them, taking only the more fall looking colors from among the bunch. Zaer held them up and looked at Mrs. Wilson.

"Think I can use these?" He asked, holding them up as he looked through the boxes for some tape and markers.

Cristobal looked at Zaeric, only to sigh. “Can I decorate the banner?” Zaeric asked, but Cristobal laughed. Still texting on his phone. “Sorry, Wilson.” The beautiful skin glowing lady scowled at Cristobal, but he didn’t care. She was cool.

“Think I can use these?” The ice manipulator asked, but Cristobal got confused from that point. He stood up reputedly, and looked towards the two. “Nothing new? He stated, nearly projecting level two of profanity.
