Alyss lay across the couch in the dorms common room. A place she normally comes to whenever she needed an escape, but didn't actually feel like making it up to her dorm room or possibly deal with the roommates. What if they started to bug her about her mood? She wasn't exactly the type to 'talk it out'. Nah, bottling up seemed to work better. No explanations, no worries. Whatever, she came here to stop thinking about it! Not to continue! Huffing, the blonde sat up from the couch and leaned back against it, sitting upright in her seat with feet propped up on the coffee table set across. Tension etched lines into her forehead, and small fingers did their best to knead out the creases and around her temples. A massive headache was coming on, but thankfully it wasn't there yet and if she got some caffeine into her system it might help stave it off.
You might ask what has this teenage girl so wound up tight? Boy problems? Parent drama? Lost her favorite pair of shoes or lucky hair tie? No, she was mad, no pissed, that she just went to train for two hours on her ability to control the photosynthesis in plants and to not only not make any progress, she almost nearly stopped the plant's ability to do photosynthesis all together! She almost killed it! She was supposed to help it grow, damn it! "Ughhhh... moaned Alyss, as she finally stood up from the couch and stomped over to vending machine where she fed in her dollar and punched a button for Cola. A second and whirring sound later, a can deposited itself into the bin at the bottom, a Dr. Pepper. 'Yesssss.' Thought Alyss as she popped open the can and sipped on it's caffeinated goodness.
The drink helped to calm her nerves and settle down the pounding in her head. She had used too much power again, and needed the sugar in her system. Taking the drink back to the couch with her, sipping heavily now, she sat back down smoothly. Alyss needed to get this whole issue off her mind. She'd been in a real stale mate with her powers lately, making little to no progress for the past three months. It was almost to the point where she was regressing! Al took in a deep breath, and allowed her shoulders to drop and back to relax as she slowly exhaled. Chill, bottle it up, get over it. That's what she needed to do. It was a routine she had going here, and it worked so far. Emotionally wise. But chilling was her main priority right now she decided as she took another sip of the Dr. P.
"Guess it could be worse."
