It might have been because it was so warm and snug on the sofa. Curled up with a soft shawl around her legs and feet, an lounged over the arm of the sofa, a book in her hand as she lost herself in the words of the great Depression. Delilah read pretty boring stuff but pretty boring stuff was actually interesting for her. This was not the reason why she looked like a bag of bones tossed across the arm of the sofa, the book hanging from her hand and just about to fall to the ground.
Books were a safer choice to the Kindle after what happened with that girl she'd met who'd managed to fix her Kindle. Nothing could go wrong with a book right? The soft drown of some or other obscene cartoon animated show. Maybe it was the drone from the TV that sent her to sleep or the fact that no one really bothered to give her any attention or company what so ever. The fact that she was drooling onto the fabric under her face was a bit of a turn of as well... one would suppose.
Delilah was safe... or so she thought because when someone flopped down on the seat beside her and the book dropped from her she jerked awake so fast, she was sure her hand hit something human. Once it did she kinda squeaked in alarm and stared wide eyed at the person beside her.
"Oh my God. I'm so sorry.... did I hurt you? I must have dozed off..."
Delilah blinked around her at the emptying room and quickly wiped at her mouth a big bright flush colloring her cheeks. This was so embarressing. Oh God! What if she snored? Her eyes shot to the person beside her and she simply stared...
