Unfortunately, there’s only one TV in the lounge.

Paris walked into the lounge and was thoroughly surprised to see the unattended television. Normally there was always people surrounding it watching a sporting event or one of those medical dramas. This must be her lucky day. She walked over and picked up the remote and switched the tv on. Channel-surfing didn't bring much that caught her eye. So she settled on daytime televison, watching "The Talk".

She sat down on the couch and propped her feet up on the table in front of her.

Harmony didn’t spend much time in the student lounge. She hated being surrounded by idiots, but today she decided to chance it. There was a break dancing competition going on and tonight they were air the final performances. How could she miss that?

She paused in the doorway of the lounge, shocked to see that it was empty. Finally, she thought. ’Bout time things go my way for a change. The TV had been left on, but she could remedy that as soon as she found the remote. In a spurt of child-like happiness, Harmony ran to the couch and hopped over the back.

Her smile disappeared the moment she landed on the cushion next to Paris. “You?” she asked, confused and angry. She was so sure the room had been empty, but from the view at the doorway it was hard to see if anyone was on the couch. “What are you doing here? And what’s this crap you’re watching? Where’s the remote?”
