Back from the holidays, Mia's best friend Jonah drops by to say hi, and while at first they're free to joke, Mia ends up letting him know that Hammel security have visited and let her know she may be in very serious trouble. Jonah insists on helping his short friend, and they start planning, both aware they're in over their heads.

After their overexciting breaking and entry escapade, Mia and Jonah hang out in Mia's room as Mia gets drunk, and Jonah comes to terms with how he used is telepathy. Telepathy that causes slight problems as Mia finds it harder not to think about things she would rather Jonah did hear about.

After being beaten playing WoW, Mia decides to stake out the student responsible, Reeve Rzeznik. Turns out he’s a fellow technopath and does not like it when people try to hack his computers while outside his window dresses up as a commando. However, the two find mutual ground very quickly, and Reeve agrees to help Mia design some gadgets to help on her missions.

15 years from now, Mia (a CIA operative) and Robbie Wilkes run into each other and, after remembering Robbie's disastrous attempt to ask the technopath out while they were in school, their conversation takes a turn for the bedroom, though Mia just leaves a note the next day as she flies back to DC.
