Power(s): Bioluminescence; Gideon's luminescence appears on his skin in patterns similar to those seen in deep water organisms. The light is blue, and Giddy can turn it on and off at his leisure. The underlying cause of his glowing is unknown, although it is clear that, despite appearances, it does not involve symbiotic bacteria as in the case of the aforementioned sea creatures. While he cannot control the intensity, the glow appears more vibrant in darker locations, and is completely unnoticeable in well-lit areas. Side effects include luminescent sweat, insomnia, attracting insects, and a tendency to rave.
