[D]A[N]I[C]C!?

Sitting upside-down on one of the random couches in the lounge, Dani was playing her Gameboy Advanced. She always played the boy when she was playing Pokemon, but she realized she hadn't played as the girl since she got the game. So today, she was playing the little red-haired girl that was about twelve and supposedly allowed to travel across the land with no parental supervision. And she was so ruling at this game. She hadn't lost her touch.

Charmander was a BAMF little dude, even if people were all about Bulbasaur and Raichu and the legendaries.

Over all, this was turning out to be a good day.

She was officially sixteen, which was still odd to think. She'd planted a pudding cannon in the entrance to a dorm. Probably the entire school would suspect her, but nobody would be able to prove it. Plus, she had found Pokemon.

And right as she finished her battle, successfully capturing a ponyta, she took a moment to glance around the room. Yes, still upside-down. When her eyes settled on a familiar energetic form, about to swan-dive off of the pool table, Dani grinned and flipped into a standing position. "VINVIN!" She shouted, loudly enough that she was likely heard outside. She hadn't seen him since Moe poofed to the city. Well, she had seen him. She just hadn't been able to make contact with him.

Vincent was bored. Sammy was spending time with his girlfriend. Fifi was nowhere to be found and wasn't answering his texts. (Granted his method of looking for her was just running around the school shouting her name.) And Brendan was at work. With his three most favorite people out of commission, it left Vincent with nothing to do other than being destructive and annoying until he got the attention he so deserved craved.

His trail of disaster had started outside, but it had eventually led him to the student lounge, where he was just about to take an elegant dive off the pool table.

Until his name rang in his ears, that is, and he ended up hitting the ground stomach first.

Needless to say, there was a long moment of groaning and swearing while Vincent regained his breath, but he pushed himself up as if nothing had happened and pointed vigorously at Dani. "YOU!" Yes, he'd forgotten her name, and it was quite obvious by the blank look on his face. "Uhh... " It started with D, didn't it? Di... do... d... shit.

"CHICK!" Ah yes, his old standby.

Dani flinched when Vin fall to the ground. Well, he didn't really fall so much as he took a flying leap, but still. She doubted he intended upon that particular outcome, and it kind of looked painful.

And yet, she laughed.

And he turned out all right, so no harm done. Pretty much nothing could kill VinVin, so she was positive it'd be fine to laugh. Plus, who didn't find VinVin falling hilarous? It was like watching a corgi try and fly off the dock only to slip and fall facefirst into the water. You know it will be fine, but initially it's really one of those things that makes everyone seem like a horrible person because everyone laughs.

And now she was feeling pretty good about that laugh and felt more coming on as she realized VinVin had no clue who she was. "Dani. My name is Dani, VinVin." She hook her head. "Jesus, who's keeping you fed and watered? I mean, other than the old art teacher." Yes, Dani knew. It was slowly becoming common knowledge, what happened to get Mr. James firedto resign. She never knew Vin was for the older crowd.

"VinVin, I think I stayed the night at your house at least three times. You honestly forgot my name." Okay, no hiding it. She was laughing now. She knew VinVin could be... ditzy, but this was just so much better. They'd all done dress-up, Vinvin included, for christ's sake. (He'd wanted to turn it into dress-down, not caring that Dani was there. Oh, memories.)

To be completely honest, if Dani hadn't laughed at his miraculous faceplant, Vin would have pouted. He is a total attention whore after all and that means he wants all of the attention, good or bad. Laughing was pretty good, though, even if it was at his expense.

"Fuuuuck yeah, Dani s'right." Vincent nodded his head, his arms dropping down by his sides as he flashed her an epic grin. "I knew't started wit' a D!"

He slipped up to sit on the edge of the pool table and scratched the back of his head. "Lotta stuff been happenin' lately." He sounded a little sheepish, although it seemed Dani already knew the majority of it. "Hey hey hey! Don' hate."

Vincent reached his hands out in front of him, opening and closing his hands at Dani. "C'mere midget." His voice was fond. It felt like it had been too long since he'd had a good laugh with her. She might have been Moe's friend, but Vin liked her just as much.

"Good for you, VinVin. You remembered part." She grinned. The best tactic for anything pertaining to Vin is generally talk to him like he's nine-ish, at least at the start of a conversation. Well, that's how Dani deals with him.

A lot of stuff has been happening? Oh, you can say that again. Dani grinned and raised an eyebrow at him. "Obviously." She shrugged. "I'm not hatin', swear. Just making an observation." Maybe the big word would confuse him enough to get him on the subject-change wagon.

Funny how underestimating his intelligence usually is the correct level of intelligence for him. Dani briefly wondered if maybe he'd learned a new word and would know that one, but then nearly laughed. She loved VinVin, but the boy had just belly-flopped from a billiards table. If that wasn't an indicator of intelligence, what was?

When Vincent made grabby-hands, calling her midget, Dani's grin turned into a blank stare then turned into a glare, making it back to a smirk. She shrugged and stepped closer, wondering if Vin was actually going for a hug, or what.

"Ahm not a tooootal idiot." Vincent said, making the entire world facepalm. Yes, Vincent, you are a total idiot. 100% Grade-A Moron. And no one with a brain will believe what you just said.

Blinking at her, not quite sure whether he wanted to believe whether or not she was hating, Vincent eventually shrugged. "S'does th'whole school know 'bout that now?" Vincent didn't doubt the rumors would spread and he didn't have much of a problem with it either, he was just curious how much was common knowledge by now.

Once Dani made her way into arm's reach, Vincent grabbed her and pulled her even closer, folding his arms around her affectionately. "How ya been?" Grinning, he gave her a squeeze.

Okay, even Dani was very close to facepalming when he said that. Like, she's pretty sure a songbird just died. (Something her mother once told her happened every time she told a lie. That only made Dani go and stand under a tree and say a bunch of lies in a row to see if any birds fell out. Funny thing was, a Frisbee from a neighbouring yard came and hit the tree, and there was a bird that didn't get away in time. Talk about coincidences.)

Dani shrugged in return. "Not the whole school." Yeah, and VinVin wasn't a total idiot. "But I'm pretty sure quite a few people have been talking about it." She didn't know why she wasn't outright telling him that the entire state of Vermont would know by next week, but basically she was trying to spare his oh-so-delicate feelings.

Once again, she didn't get it either.

Random hugging is generally on Dani's list of things-everyone-needs-to-think-I-hate, but Vinvin was probably one of three or four people ever who would get away with touching her in affectionate manner at all without being kneed in the groin or punched in the... preferably head but it depends if the person is much taller than her. Which, unfortunately, most people are.

She was shrugging a lot today. "Doin' great. Y'know, got a boy toy, grades are cool. Really it's been kind of boringly good. Anyway, I hear you're doing pretty awesome." She shifted around and actually squeaked when he squeezed her. Thank god nobody else she knew was near enough to hear it.

Vin's expression was somewhat smug. Maybe the rumor's weren't so good for Brendan's image, but Vincent liked to be the talk of the school. "Can't blame 'em." He grinned. "I did bag th'hottest fuckin' teacher 'n th'whole school." And cost said teacher his job in the process, but Vincent didn't like to talk about that part.

He chuckled at the squeaking noise she made and squeezed her again in hopes that she'd repeat it. "S'ya still got Robbie's balls 'n a vice, huh?" Vin teased, poking at her sides. They seemed like a good pair and he was ever so fond of Robbie. "S'been pretty freakin' amazin'. Livin' wit' Fifi's great an' Bren's just... like... wow." Vincent was pretty much in love with his life lately. In fact, he often thought it might be too good to be true.

But all that happiness led to Vin having a lot of excess hyperactive energy and coming up with ridiculous ways to spend it.

Ridiculous ways like grabbing Dani's waist and hoisting her up above his head. Which he just did with surprising ease. She was tiny, after all. Grinning almost manically up at her, he proudly announced "Yer a Daniplane!" then began running around the lounge while making airplane noises.

Maturity at its finest.

Daniplane was not amused.

Sure, VinVin was happy and having fun. That was cool. What was not exactly kosher in this situation was the air plane game. This was not a game she had been a part of since she did it with Second Cousin Ara's toddler a few years back. And she had been the pilot, not the plane. Last time she had actually been the plane, she was around age six.

Even if Dani was used to random cases of manhandling(and yes, the squeezing counted and she was about thisclose to ripping his little goth-boy arm off if he did it one more time), she would never just let VinVin do that. She flailed and tried to kick him, but to no avail. "The frack are you doing?" She screeched. This had to be the single most insane thing that had been done to her.

Because really, a Daniplane?

Did Vin care that Dani was less than thrilled with this arrangement? No. Was he going to stop just because of her kicking and flailing? Hell no. In fact, he was going to start running faster, still holding her proudly above his head. "Vrrrrooooom Nyyeeeooowww!" And yes, his airplane noises were horrible, but he didn't care. He circled the pool table, occasionally dipping his arms down so Dani would be lower and made swooshing noises.

"Uh duuhhh, we're playin' airplanes!" Vincent explained in the way one might to a stupid child. (Just don't ask.) He dashed out of the lounge and into the halls, bolting down them like his life depended on it. "Aw man, y'shoul' be a fighter place!" He laughed, his entire face lit up with his joy over this ridiculous and childish endeavor, because we all know that Vincent really is just a big kid in leather pants.

It was only once he had ran through the halls several times that Vincent finally put Dani down, though he slung his arm around her shoulders. "Aw c'mon, now tell me that wasn' fun!"
