How many days had it been? Two? Oh this was bad, was he really counting the time that he hadn’t seen Adrianna? He was a mess, a complete and utter mess and yet here he was completely willing to worry over how long it had been since he had last seen his girlfriend. Things were going crazy and he was in need of her calm personality to keep him from diving over the edge. After his run in with the telepath he had made himself rather scarce on campus. Darshay the tabby kitten romped around the room occasionally attacking the enemy sock she had found. He laughed a little at that. Her and Shadow couldn’t be more different. Shadow hid a lot and mostly found fun when the three of them were together. Darshay was quite the adventure, twice he had had to save her from a headfirst tumble off of the dresser. He was going to kill Odion for this crazy idea. At least he dumped them off whenever he needed to go home for a few days.
He laughed and scooped up the kitten putting her in the little box he had put blankets in. He loved them but he was not going to let them run around his room when he wasn’t there to rescue them. Shadow saw him coming after that and tried to dash under the bed but was captured by moving blankets. The kitten hissed and Lani grabbed him from the blanket. This was still a terrible idea. There kittens were like little balls of energy, Lani just couldn’t keep up. He bid them farewell and risked a venture from his room. Since he had had the brilliant plan to steal the telepath’s wallet he had been very paranoid that at any moment someone was going to come and arrest him. Or worse that the telepath would come try to talk to Lani himself. Not a settling thought. And then there was the Princess, that blackmailing black widow. So far as he knew she hadn’t gone to talk to Adrianna for Adrianna hadn’t asked him about anything.
Lani was probably going a little overboard as he scanned the area with his power. Looking for people, he couldn’t feel people but he could feel their clothing. Once he deemed it safe he took on a confident unworried posture and attitude. He trotted down the steps and with a cool smile on his lips he found her door. He paused ruffling his hand through his hair and checking to make sure his clothing was in order. He was going to take Adrianna out on a real date tonight. At least that was the plan. It was still a long while before dinner and Lani was glad because he would need that time to figure out how he was going to get past security without getting caught and without cluing Adrianna into his lies. He smiled absently as he reached her door.
He leaned against the wall a small group of pink flowers in one hand. He wasn’t sure what they were but the florist had assured him that she would love them. He leaned against the wall and knocked on her door his intention for her not to expect him. This was going to be a random kidnapping of the girlfriend by her boyfriend and it was going to go however they wanted it to. He had a plan but outside that goal there were no other plans, besides he thought she had been studying too much. Not that he would know. He waited hearing her behind the door. Absently he wondered if he had put on too much cologne…
