The Basics
Name: Lucy Ellis Serrano
Nicknames: Lucky
Age: 18
Orientation: Unsure
Desired Rank/Job: Student
Powers: Melanokinesis: Lucy can bring her drawings to life wherever she draws them. She can manipulate pigments on a page, walls or even on skin to allow it to move slowly across the canvas. The ‘fresher’ the ink, the easier it is to manipulate. She cannot keep the same drawings on her skin for an extended period of time otherwise she runs the risk of developing ink poisoning. Further side effects from this ability include headaches and muscle pains if she uses the ability on herself.

General Appearance: Lucy has long hair that is a deep, dark brown in colour. Most of the time it looks black, but in the light there are obvious hints of brown to its tone. This is accentuated further by the hazel tones in her eyes. Her hair is long and normally has a slightly curl to it, but she flat irons it daily to keep it straight. Sometimes she will let her hair out, but normally she likes to tie it up in a braid and allow it to hang to one side. She also has a long fringe that she always keeps to one side so it covers most of her forehead. Her skin is relatively pale and despite spending time in the sun, she never seems to get a decent tanned shade to her.
It should be noted that Lucy always has sharply drawn pictures on her arms. This is mainly for practicing her ability as they frequently move about on her skin. They might be in one place the first time you see her and in another spot the next.
When it comes to what she normally likes to wear, there are things in her wardrobe that are a must. Skirts and dresses are normally a big no as she finds them completely uncomfortable, impractical and a little stupid. So it’s normally skin tight skinny jeans or shorts. Denim, mainly. She keeps her shirts simple, by liking to wear tank tops with different graphic prints and shades to them. She finds comfort in flannel long sleeve shirts as well, so it’s likely that you’ll catch her wearing one of those. She also loves sneakers as opposed to any other footwear; Allstars mainly in black.
Personality: Lucy is a relatively smart girl. Logic is her first weapon. She can read most things people do and find the reason for doing it with logic. The same goes for mannerisms and personality traits. She understands the generic human mind in ways that others don't. She also has a sharp tongue, gifted with the ability to verbally assault. She gives her opinions and hates to lose arguments against it. She has a problem with anger and other emotions. Anger is easily accessible, but other feelings are not. Lucy has to be open about her anger. If she isn't, she bottles up all her annoyance and anger and has a blowout at someone.
It should be noted that she has a huge sense of humour, and laughs at most jokes, even if they aren't really seen as funny. She was never seen as a girl who can keep a straight face easily, and a smile always becomes present in the end. Her humour can also be quite dark and almost insulting at other people's expenses.
Her point of freedom is her artwork. It’s the only thing that she finds soothing and relieving of stress and personal pressure. It can be hard to get to know Lucy straight away but it’s easier once someone understands the kind of person she is. Emotional portrayals don’t come easy; she struggles with saying things like please and thank you because she just isn’t used to saying them and meaning it. Most times when she tries to say or do something nice, she’ll shrug it off with a joke or a quip right afterwards.

History
Lucy was born and raised in Queensland, Australia. For the most part she had come from a small town in the middle of no where, where it was logical for people to grow up and become farmers or something else that she didn't really see herself doing. From a young age she liked being in a small town; it meant that all her friends were nearby and she could play with them as often as she wanted to. Life seemed pretty good; her father worked a fair amount and so did her mother but they were still always around for her. Her mother was a preschool teacher so she spent a lot of time with her as opposed to being at her own home. Being that her mother was a teacher, it meant that she was schooled early at home as a way to get her ready for schooling life.
Her younger sister was born when she was only four. For herself, it meant less time with her mother. But there was a new baby around and all she wanted to do was look after it. It was hard to get Lucy to do anything that involved being separated from her sister Nica. They grew up together with Lucy taking on the older sister role with pride, despite how young she really was. Beyond that things seemed pretty normally in her life until she became a teenager.
She started to change. Rather than being her bright optimistic self, she started to become what her parents would explain as cold and distant to her parents. Lucy delved into her art classes and projects with school when she would get home, smashing through homework with ease and moving right onto her new hobby of drawing. She loved being able to close herself off for a while and just draw, especially since she was realising the differences in her personality. People were starting to annoy her and she wasn't sure why; things she could normally just put up with were bugging the living daylights out of her. Anger was a huge issue suddenly, and if someone argued with her she wanted to scream at them. Furthermore, she'd started using the things she'd learn about people against them. Lucy had always just been good at reading people and she used to use that information to help them out if she thought something was wrong. Despite all that, she only really remained as close with her sister.
Not long after all this she got her powers at the age of sixteen. She was bored in class one day and was drawing on her arm with a pen. She was unhappy with one of the lines and tried rubbing it out, as it belonged in a different spot. And it just... Moved. On it's own, it moved. Lucy couldn't understand why; there was no logical explanation for why that would have happened! When she got home that day she kept trying to make it happen again with little success. She didn't tell her parents what had happened because she was sure there was just something wrong with her eyes. But sure enough, it happened again the next day. And Lucy just decided not to say anything.
Of course, that didn't stop the recruiter coming to Australia and picking her up within days. When that happened she had to explain it to her parents; they were understandably upset with what had happened because she hadn't been honest with them. Being that there was no choice of school in Australia she was intended to transfer to Kocher. Lucy was annoyed that she'd have to move that far in general for anything, as it meant there was a huge distance between herself and her family; namely her sister. Her parents requested that she go to Hammel instead, as she had a relative in the country so the move might be easier. After deliberation, they accepted the notion of her transfer.
Her time at Hammel thus far was normal; she had good grades but Lucy had rubbed a lot of people the wrong way. Being that at the age of sixteen, she was supposed to graduate within two years had she stayed in Australia. But with the change of curriculum between states her grade in school had changed. It was difficult for her to accept that she'd have to jump back to fit the curriculum of an American school but she did it. She was seen as a bit of a trouble maker, and people wished she would be as serious with other people as she was about her work. The move was something that she struggled with in that it elevated her preexisting personality problems. But hey, at least she got to finally have a pet rabbit.
