Greetings one and all It is my great and esteemed pleasure to introduce Elle McArthur, a midwestern farm girl who, in fact, channels spirits. She is really self conscious about it (one, since her mother tried to exploit her powers, and two, since she doesn't feel special because of all the televised crocks and movies.)

She's into vintage clothes, indie and rock music (and some 80s pop), anything to do with the 1920s, works weekends at a record store, plays piano, has lots of things on the occult, loves Buffy the Vampire Slayer, is looking into converting to Wicca,( though just looking, for now), and is pretty laid back.

I'm looking for threading opportunities!

past/future love interests,
hanging out...

Oh, and ONE really, really close best friend. She's the type of person to have a few close people to do everything with, but especially a close best friend to just kind of chill with and talk and listen to music.

[Aaron Tasker]

Hello! It is my privilege to introduce Aaron Tasker, 75% hopeless geek, 10% snarky critic, and 15% knight in tarnished armor. He mimics the powers of others, and I think he and Elle would have quite a bit in common. They’re both shy, easily exploited types, and they would be quite safe with each other. Since Elle’s power isn’t very destructive, he would be more at ease around her, knowing that an accidental touch wouldn’t give him an ability that was likely to hurt people. He’s very afraid of that, though it’s more of a subconscious fear than one he is fully aware of. He thinks he’s just freaked out by all the abilities people could use to beat on him, when really he’s afraid of beating on someone else.

So, I think he may qualify for close best friend. While he does have an extreme weakness when it comes to pretty people, I think the fact that Elle doesn’t seem like the type to exude sexiness would keep him from falling for her. He is kind of shallow, yes.

He’s a fairly new student, so as for threading, they should probably run into each other somewhere secluded. Aaron’s not mingling as much as he probably should/could. See fear of absorbing a destructive power, paragraph one. I think the library is a likely option, as that would definitely tempt him out of his dorm.

[Dr. Sean Neville]

If you need faculty to discuss her powers with, Sean Neville could be the man for the job. He's a middle-ish aged (with the expanding definition of "middle-aged) psychiatrist with the powers of telepathy and memory manipulation, and he's been working for Hammel for twenty years, so he's seen it all and likes to try to set students at ease. He'll find her power fascinating without trying to exploit her, and he has some words of wisdom for those who think they aren't special because of phonies.

Hello, hello. May I please direct your attention to Eric, over here? He's not camera shy at all! Just look at his 'theytube' channel. He is a video logging nerd, and likes to think his day to day comments about Hammel will really help those not meta to understand that there isn't anything wrong with metas. Like, they aren't bad or anything. Well...sorta. He just likes video logging.

He is a fan of music of any kind, and will sing and dance to any song that is played. Even the songs on commercials. So that's good right? They can air guitar to some 80s. They'd probably be great friends, playing off of each others quirks.

However, seeing there is a four year gap, Eric would be completely void of any romantic attempts, even if he did develop those sorts of feelings towards her, because he just doesn't know what to do.

As for powers, the brunette can manipulate trees. That's right trees. Well..more specifically, he can manipulate wood, by extension to floor planks, tables, doors, etc. BUT they are severally underdeveloped and cannot do anything by command, yet.

I think Zac could fill in the past/future love interest post. While she may be 2 years his senior, Zac believes age doesn't have to get in the way of things. She does have that innocent, reclusive and shy vibe in her, and somehow, that's what drew Zac to her. He's not much into her interests, but he did try to hit on her. I'll leave it up to you whether or not she'll accept or anything.

Aaron - sounds EXCELLENT. Elle is a bit older than him (5 years, this is her final year at the Institute), and I had been hoping for a bestie that could have been her friend though her years at Hammel, but I think they can still hit it off. I'll start a thread in the library.

Sean- I would love to thread with you, maybe Elle could come to his office for a chat? she needs it, whether she thinks so or not!

Eric- Haha, I think that would be fun! She doesn't need romancing all the time-so it's all good! Plus, she misses her younger brother's so she might just attach to him and "adopt" him, if you will

Zach- That sounds interesting, indeed! Maybe I'll start a thread for us?
